    Maolg was on his way to report his confrontation with the POI's when the world broke in front of him and a nightmare shaped like a man stepped through. He had red eyes. That was the first thing that Maolg noticed, his red eyes. Only- they weren't red red. They were an empty red, somehow, an absence that nonetheless conveyed a sense of redness. Just looking at it made his brain hurt. His blade was similarly "colored" and Maolg could feel the power radiating off of it. It was not a pleasant feeling. He stood there, frozen in fear, staring at the newcomer. At last, he spoke. Where did they go? he asked. Maolg swallowed. "Where did who-" The man flicked his blade, and a patch of ground disappeared in a flash of inverted red light. Maolg swallowed. What have I gotten myself into?
