  1. As she did so, memories of her friends began to drift across her subconscious.
  2. The floor was very annoyed at being taken for granite.
  3. "Look," said Maolg in an exasperated tone, "I'm trying to help you. You won't be able to protect your friend when the Fallen King sends his servants after you." "I think you underestimate them," said Jeffery, speaking up for the first time. "And besides, what makes you think you can do any better?"
  4. Maolg looked slightly shifty. "I have my reasons," he said. "But they don't concern you." "He used to be the Witherlord," explained Maolg. "But he was defeated and imprisoned by the mimes. Now he's back."
  5. "You, on the other hand," continued Maolg, "not so much. Never said I was an agent of the Fallen King, did I? And I ain't. They don't call him the Fallen King for nothing." He probed the wall in front of him surreptitiously with his sword. "Plenty'a fools following him, though. Any've 'em be more than happy to slay you all to gain favor." He grinned wolfishly. "Like I said. Dangerous."
  6. "Clever girl," said Maolg, taking a step back from the barriers that suddenly appeared in front of him. "Yes, the Fallen King has... an interest in Mr. Larue."
  7. "You have in your company certain individuals. Important individuals. Valuable individuals. Even- potentially- dangerous individuals. I thought I'd do you a favor and take them off your hands."
  8. Maolg grunts as the wind rattles him like a can in his shardplate, but is not moved from his stance. The geist shrieks in irritation, but seems otherwise unharried. It dives towards Vale, clawed hands outstretched. "Who?" asked Maolg.
  9. Lopen once makes a mention of his nonexistent arm making a rude gesture at someone, which I think is a clue from Brandon that it can be healed. Ooh, I like the idea that Gaz was able to heal it because he thought of himself as not whole- almost like he expected that Stormlight would be able to heal it. In contrast to both Kaladin and Rysn, who we see be not surprised that a healing would fail.
  10. It was more of a pop kind of inanimate object.
  11. Renarin's done it before, sort of. IIRC, there was a scene somewhere with Adolin where he healed him- and in the process, showed him a 'perfected' version of himsef.
  12. Maolg charged the group. He was clad in what looked like black shardplate, and carried a sword made of a similar black substance. Over his shoulder flew his bonded withergeist, with tattered wings and red eyes. He slowed down as he approached the group, once he'd seen they'd stopped as well. "Greetings!" he called out in a slightly accented voice. "I trust you are all well?"
