  1. "Thank you, thank you," said Xinoehp dryly, raising an eyebrow and the corner of his mouth. "It was..." He noticed Shame, who almost seemed to be hiding. "Ah... hello!" he said, somewhat warily.
  2. "It was awesome," assured Xinoehp. "I became a hundred-foot tall stone giant wielding a sword of fire! The forces of darkness stood no chance against me."
  3. "Same," said Xinoehp with a sigh. "Except I was in a battle with the forces of darkness, not in my garage."
  4. Unwittingly, however, you have played the draw-2 on yourself!
  5. "Ah," said Xinoehp. "Unfortunate."
  6. "So," said Xinoehp. "Where... are we, exactly?"
  7. "Yes!" said Xinoehp, trying unsuccessfully to stand up straight. "I am Xinoehp, Lord of Fire!"
  8. Xinoehp looked up as he heard someone call out. "Hello?" he called.
  9. X's avatar decides to take that as a pass and plays the eight of spades.
  10. X's avatar is suspicious of the card. He is fairly certain that such a card does not exist in a standard 52-card playing deck!
  11. Xinoehp limped across a field, using his sword to balance himself. Where... was he?
  12. X's avatar plays the seven of hearts, skipping the next person's turn.
  13. Grace strode briskly down the Hall of Words, her footsteps steady and determined. A piece of glass from a shattered bottle bounced towards her, freezing in midair as it met her Silent Shield. She ignored it. No time to stop for a Narratorial skirmish, not today. "Ex.. excuse me?" a Narrator said in her direction. Grace pretended not to hear and quickened her step, praying that he wouldn't press whatever his question was. Miraculously, no further comment followed. Her heartbeat calmed slightly. Only a few yards more to go until- Something at the edge of her vision caught her eye, rippling in the barrier at the edge of the hall. Her heart sank as she turned to look at it, confirming her fears: a break. Sighing, she pressed her hands up against the crack in the wall and began its repair. Glimpses of myriad worlds flashed by her vision, wondrous and brilliant sights from across the Plane; she ignored them, focusing exclusively on the task at hand. Fortunately, the break was small and fairly recent, so nothing had crossed over whilst it was open. Within a few moments the tear sealed up completely, freeing Grace to speedwalk the last few feet to the exit door. She stepped through, bracing herself for the feeling of vertigo as she was teleported to Silenus Alpha: Ennuler Headquarters.
  14. "So," called Dr. Who Octopus. "You have found me." He moved fluidly, two of his arms extending to carry him into the air- the rest transforming into a variety of sharp blades and sleek barrels. Without any additional fanfare, he opened fire.
  15. Woden trembled. "No. No! I must protect Accura."
  16. Dr. Who Octopus looked up with a frown. It seemed that he was under attack. Unable to see the attacker, he released a few bolts of energy in their general direction.
  17. As your humminbirds are wiping the floor with The Captain, your curiosity gets the better of you as you remember the symbol on the Captain's arm. Do you: 1. Ask her directly 2. Craft a long metaphorical monologue concluding with the question you are trying to talk about it. 3. Talk about every tangential topic you can think of until she brings it up.
  18. "Yes, now. But don't stay too long!" "I apologize..." hissed the voice with a tinge of humor. "I have always had a tendency to slip into cryptic comments."
  19. In... out. In... out. In.... out. The waves beat relentlessly on the beach, back and forth, up and down, in and out. Just as they have for eons. A cough. And then another. A man crawls onto the sand, spitting up water as he does so. His clothes are finely wrought, but tattered, and his hair is bedraggled by salt. Where he is, how he got here... he is not certain. For he is but an inch from death, and well beyond worry for anything beyond survival. But survive he will. For he is Xinoehp, Lord of Fire, and he will rise from the ashes.
  20. "Well, she's not in this universe, is she?"
