  2. Or, at least, the only one who the former vaccumer knew how to find.
  3. The gears twist. The gears turn. One tick at a time, strictly following the rules set before them. These are the things that are easy to understand.

  5. There was no one around to be insulted by Doomslug. Nameless was the only Narrator there.
  6. half-turns, composed entirely of spinning gears, and the universe
  7. But she was still dissatisfied. The universes she studied were boring.
  8. The Vacuum driver cried into the driver's wheel. She couldn't take it anymore. She just couldn't.
  9. Universe explorer. But life had had other plans.
  10. The driver of the Great Vacuum Cleaner sighed.
  11. The neck of the creature moved in a strange, puppet-like fashion. Looking up, vines reached down from the ceiling and out from the walls, supporting the empty husk in the center of the room. Whoever this person had been, they clearly were not there anymore. They were merely a puppet for some twisted creature.
  12. Is this a dream, or a flash-forwards, or what?
  13. Corundum nodded and followed swiftly. Pheonix replicated the motion precisely.
  14. "Let me see it," said Grace, pulling out the flask.
  15. Corundum stepped up to the edge of the shadow cast by the doorframe, peeking into the lit hallway beyond where the Corpse was standing. Out of his reach. "Your Majesty?" he requested. @Channelknight Fadran "Oh," said Pheonix. "Uh, thanks." He swung at the wall again.
  16. "I'm just asking a question," Grace replied.
  17. "Does one need to be a Mystic to contribute, hmm?" interjected Grace.
  18. This is the board. These are the rules. 1. The last color remaining on the board wins. (Black and white are not colors.) 2. No color may move twice in a row. 3. 19. The vinewalker shifted its focus, sending vines up Toran's side.
  20. Corundum flicked the light switch at the door, plunging the room into darkness. And suddenly he was no longer where he was. Two more spouts of darkness burst forth, spiraling towards Corpse and merging with it. Each carried with it a stronger urge to stop fighting and obey. Pheonix swung the pick against the wall.
  21. The mass of power deftly dodged the sharp edges of the mordite blades and sank into Corpse's flesh. "Um," replied Pheonix, "Apparently not."
  22. The vinewalker trundled around, keeping Ronin trapped within itself.
