  1. The head-colors burned a bright angry red- and as Grace watched the fight unfold, she finally realized what they were. Emotions. Her head spun. What could this mean, that the soul's glow showed emotion as well as power? Was this, perhaps, tied to the mysterious emotional effects native to Medietas? In all the books that Grace had read, information on such events was frustratingly vague. It had been one of her main reasons for coming here, but up until now she'd had no way of even measuring it. Now... I can't take these off, she thought to herself. Can't risk the chance of missing an event. In the shadows that marked the real world, the Deathgranter fell. Oh- right, thought Grace. The attack. Well, the others seemed to have dealt with it fairly well on their own, given the fading light from the- Wait. Was that knife... glowing? Grace bent in to take a closer look- surely she couldn't be that lucky.
  2. The beast came into view - a tusked, fur-covered, hoglike creature, bigger than the entire party put together.
  3. "On it," Gerald replied, spewing forth purple flame once more. The bike jumped forwards, and for a few moments the pounding footsteps began to get quieter. But then, with a quickening of rhythm, they approached once more.
  4. "Yes," the Witherlord replied, "yes, that would be excellent. Seven days, and then you are mine to command." No. Upvote collusion is strictly prohibited by the moderators.
  5. Grace's fire sputtered out, but the zombies kept coming. This is too much, she thought to herself. She closed her eyes and transitioned. In the Enchanted realm, she exhaled, relaxing slightly. She looked around, taking stock of the battlefield and trying to figure out what exactly was going on. @Mystic Syn
  6. The Wanderer touched Moni's forehead and the group vanished in a flash.
  7. "Your soul, freely offered." The Wanderer hesitantly confirmed.
  8. 655 sighed. "I can't think of any..." "I don't see much of worth," the Witherlord replied.
  9. The Witherlord looked at Thaidakar. "What is the worth of an avatar?"
  10. The Witherlord raised an eyebrow. "Without any of the pain I have inflicted on her?"
  11. "You called me," the Witherlord stated. 655 swallowed. The Wanderer raised both eyebrows. The survey expressed surprise.
  12. The Witherlord appeared, wreathed in mist, in a forgotten graveyard.
  13. The person finder compass was, of course, useless, since X had never exactly been a "person".
  14. 655 was quite perturbed by the interruption. "I need to find X," he stressed. "At any moment, I could just... be gone!"
  15. The footsteps of a pursuer echoed. Louder. Louder. Closer.
  16. All of a sudden, the vines stopped. Gerald frowned. "Did we-?" A booming roar echoed from behind the motorbike.
  17. Grace looked back. A wall. She turned forwards, facing the wall of zombies all pressing forwards. She muttered something under her breath and raised her begloved hands. They shone red in her enchanted vision, pulsing with the light of Chaos. In her head, she recalled the page in her sketchbook covered in flames, detailing how Chaos become fire. Then she took a deep breath and ripped the image into the real world. Fire shot forth from her hands, engulfing the encroaching zombies. @Mystic Syn
  18. The Wanderer pondered this. "True... it is strange that his face was concealed. And still is."
  19. "Figure out what's up with the prophecy and Melody being the chosen one."
  20. Gerald swerved again to dodge another formerly-human projectile. "Once we drop the amulet off, we can get out of here. Hopefully outrunning our pursuers."
  21. "The Origin," called Gerald. "Uh,Ellis... we are still going the right direction, right?" @Channelknight Fadran
  22. "It would seem that the Witherlord did so," replied the Wanderer. "And he may have gone farther than that."
