The mosquito flitted over to Klave and began to drink. -
On the other side of the room, Yerik slumped to the ground as the guards surrounded him, not even trying to resist. Guards surrounded Hyron and MIyako, blades hovering inches from their skin. One, wearing armor of gold, went to stand besides the princess. A piece broke off as the princess touched it, flowing down and replacing the part that Hyron had destroyed.

The mosquito lifted off, dodging the attack and flitting over to the girl that had just walked over, landing on her back and beginning to drink. @Aes Sedai

The black mosquito flitted silently over to the boy, landing on his skin and extending its proboscis to drink his blood.

The princess screamed out a curse and brought her golden ropes crashing down on the pair, weaving through their arms and legs and plunging into the white stone beneath, anchoring them to the floor.

A mosquito of shadow flitted quietly out of the door. Blood. So much blood. It flitted to the nearest human and began to feed

More metal met the water, trying to trap it within its grasp. Cutting with the water became more difficult as the foreign power blunted the edges. And all the while the rope tightened. "Surrender," the guards spoke in unison. "Cease your fighting. Stop. Stop. Stop." Half of them turned and ran towards Miyako and the princess, continuing their chant.

The princess screamed as the water began to cut into her skin. Her golden armor melted and poured down her leg, pushing against the water. There was a cry from outside, and the force tearing the water apart redoubled. The rope wrapped around Miyako's neck and started to tighten.

"Oh? How many people do you suppose the average ruler kills, every week?" The princess shifted her position, letting the water splash onto her leg as she launched herself towards Miyako, bringing her long rope around to encircle her.

The rope held tightly to the sword, ripping it out of Miyako's hands as she flew through the air. It flicked it backwards, sending it clattering across the floor and through the open doorway behind the princess. The princess used the remaining short rope to slash at the blob of water, trying to shatter it into droplets. As she did so, Miyako could feel power tugging at the blob, trying to pull it apart as it had done before. "I don't understand what you mean," the princess replied. "This is her island to rule. She was chosen."

As Miyako slapped a rope away with her sword, it wrapped around the blade and pulled, attempting to yank it out of her hand. The princess pulled back one of her ropes, melting it into a breastplate around herself. Two of the other three combined at the tip, forming a rope that was twice as long. She swung this double length rope at Miyako's legs as she matched her advance, trying to trip her up. "I crashed," the princess said. "She rescued me." @Mr. Misting Yerik stumbled over to Hyron's side. He saw the soldiers advancing upon them and felt weariness fill him.

The princess let out a laugh at Miyako's remark. The guards on the floor suddenly stood up, cutting off Hyron's attack and leaving the princess free to focus her entire attention upon Miyako. Her golden threads wove together into five golden ropes- shorter, but too thick and braided to be easily sliced. She flicked one of them at Miyako's sword, two of them at her legs, and the other two at her arms.

The tip of the thread unexpectedly separated as Miyako pulled on it.

The princess responded instantly to the barrage of vines, weaving several of her threads into shields and using a few more to cut down any vines that she could. She moved calmly and rationally, every flick of her threads precise and calculated, remaining defensive in the face of Hyron's assault.

The princess flicked a golden thread at the vine, its edge becoming sharp as it sheared through it. Two threads remained in a defensive position in front of her as she shot more ropes to tie Miyako up.

A golden rope shot out and wrapped around Miyako's sword, jerking it to the side. From the ceiling dropped the princess, catching herself with several more of her golden strands. A moment later, one shot out towards Miyako's wrist.

Yerik took a deep breath and stood up. The pain from the lightning had faded to a dull ache, and his limbs had mostly stopped twitching, but some part of the attack still lingered. Every move he took seemed to be ever so slightly slower, as if the signals from his brain were taking a fraction of a second longer to reach their destination. It wasn't much, but it was enough to make him feel as though he were moving through molasses. Nearer to the Queen, the guards lay moaning on the ground. A few seemed to be making feeble attempts to stand up, but none seemed to be having much success.

Yerik screamed as the lightning coursed through him, thrashing involuntarily and falling to the ground. He lay there, sobbing, as the energy faded from the now-clearer air. His muscles twitched and spasmed as he lay on the ground.

Miyako could see light a few feet away. The edge of the mist. The Queen stood there, hands outstretched, channeling power into the cloud that enveloped the throne room. With a cry, she let it go- and the room filled with lightning.
