  1. "Oh! There was something I needed." Bacon paused, thinking. "Or was there...? Oh dear." There is a mark of darkness on all those afflicted. Bacon shrugged and conjured a winged hippopotamus.
  2. Whoops I accidentally vanished for three days again The ennuller shuddered involuntarily. Oh no, he definitely existed. Funny you should mention him actually, given that he's the primary suspect for the cause of this anomaly. "You're right," said Bacon, taking the Plotblade Exposition gingerly. "I am confused. Well, fortunately for you, Onyx's realm is pretty well defended against random intruders. If he can't find someone who's been there before to take him, he's very unlikely to make his way in! Unfortunately for you, if he summons me I'll probably forget this entire conversation and take him straight there if he asks." "Well, there are now."
  3. "Ah! Well, if you like I can take you right there, I suppose. It would certainly be the fastest option." The first report detailed the account of one James John Jones, Senior, who reported having memories of a sister that did not exist. Reportedly, she had been named "Grace Jones" and had been a professor at the University of Universes. "It's a place. Or a collection of places. A whole bunch of universes together in one chaotic jumble. Chaos is the name of the game here, really."
  4. Bacon sputtered. "Responsible? Me? How dare you!" He blinked. "And why are you trying to get to Onyx's Realm? That sounds like a terrible idea."
  5. "Err... you mean the Thread?" Very well. The Ennuller disappeared briefly, then returned with the reports. The Ennullers promised assistance in three to five business days. Bacon eyed the blade warily. "That sounds suspiciously like responsibility."
  6. "Yep!" said Bacon, thoroughly unintimidated. The Ennullers sent him a form for requesting emergency assistance. Well, there is a more convincing explanation that is consistent with several other reports. And what do you mean by robot Ennuller? A sound THX logo plays, and Bacon fades into view triumphantly. "Aha! I think I'm getting the hang of this."
  7. "Uh... Narration lets you make infinite wishes." Because we have no evidence of his existence, other than "memory"- which is not reliable. I suppose it does It's a little tricky, because the lore has changed since the events in question occurred. Xino went to another reality- the CBST reality- and that reality is for all intents and purposes gone. For simplicity's sake, Authorial shenanigans.
  8. Oh, yes. We're tracking them. But back to your friend- they seem distressed, do they not?
  9. "Huh," said Bacon. The figure shrugged. "That's up to you. You could learn to read, or find someone who can... there are many different options available to you." "It seems you have summoned me," said Bacon, rubbing his head. The doctor gave Sequence a number to call if she started feeling unwell and left.
  10. Bacon cocked his head. "What show?" There was a long, drawn-out, confused scream as three breadmunks went flying by sideways. Then Bacon fell on his head. "Uh..." said Bacon. "Plagiarism?" Bacon shuddered. Bacon ate a crab. Xino has passed out of existence and is unlikely to return. The paper swirled in the wind into a humanoid form. "Paper... but not the paper." The doctor inspected her for any signs of corruption.
  11. Ordered dark energy is one of the four fundamental forces. Silence is just another name for it. Bacon frowned, grabbing a sheet at random. There was a sound like a full drum set falling down the stairs. Bacon fell on his head.
  12. What? the Ennuller asked, unable to contain his curiosity. Bacon went and enjoyed some food. The consultants requested him to get a consulting permit before advertising as a consultant. Bacon frowned. A shiver had just run down his spine. Bacon felt an inexplicable sense of relief. Onyx broke the silence, his voice troubled. "There is a page I need you to find." Ennulling is based on Silence. One takes ordered-dark energy and projects it into the world. @NameIess, what is the current state of the trial?
  13. I suppose if she were distressed by them, yes. Bacon drooped. "Aw, man..."
  14. They are delusions, not memories. There was a brief chuckle on the wind that died away into a soft breeze. Bacon strolled out of the hut. "Did I miss anything?"
  15. Well, that's unfortunate. Thanks for letting me know.
  16. We are confident that 655's nonexistence is a fact regardless. We suspect that there may have been some cause for these hallucinations. "You will be able to find all the food you could ever desire." Bacon looked around. He still couldn't remember anything. He cannot find any entity responsible for the strange behavior of the wind.
  17. "Ah! I would be happy to." Mark grumbled about how useless the newest generation was and gave up. It would be pretty impressive for this wind to have worked for the Witherlord, considering that it was entirely natural- created purely from the random movements of air molecules. That is not the case. In fact, there are several testimonials that indicate that the Survivor number 655 was skipped over entirely and that 656 was an only child. Furthermore, no physical evidence of 655 exists. "A bargain," whispered the wind. "With me."
  18. Prior to the update, I would scrape post data automatically using Python, for easier searching and organization. Because of Cloudflare, this is no longer possible. Does anybody know a workaround- some way to collect post data without having to manually copy-paste the source code for every single page in a topic?
  19. The ennuller shook his head. To a Narrator, a safe made of magically-reinforced metal and one made of paper provide exactly the same amount of protection; none at all. Narrators can write and unwrite magic systems, after all. Of course, a safe made out of Nullite would not be vulnerable in the same way- or one being actively reinforced by another Narrator- but that is because such a thing is on the same fundamental level as Narration. Things on that level are the only things that Narration cannot define. It had just been wind. "Oh!" said Bacon. "It is?" Well, we have high confidence that 655 did not, in fact exist. We also have records of those with a similar affliction to Ms. 656- hallucinations of individuals that likewise do not exist. "No," whispered the wind, "and yes." "I don't know if it's so much a thing that Onyx did as a way that Onyx is. I suppose you could, but in all likelihood they would be only as you created them."
  20. "Oh dear," said Bacon, paling. "Not the imaginary shareholders!" Bacon didn't suppose Onyx had done it on purpose. Besides, if he'd done something bad, he'd forgotten all about it. Nope, no memory at all of anything untoward. So don't even ask.
  21. "I have no doubt you are very memorable! I remember remembering you, at least, which is saying something!" The ennuller sputtered. That... doesn't make any sense! It's like saying that a poem of a brick wall would be able to stop a boulder more effectively than an actual brick wall would! "I'm afraid I don't remember. It's probably Onyx's fault, though." The wind dies down. "Oh dear," said Bacon. "Did I have a podcast?" The Ennuller paused, frowning. Oh dear. You too? The wind rustled the rabbit's fur softly.
  22. "How do I know you, if you don't mind me asking?" Highly unlikely. There are no forms of magic higher in nature. The wind slowed. "If you will not pay the cost... then so be it." "Apparently not," said Bacon, rubbing his forehead. "I seem to have lost a decent chunk of my memory."
  23. The wind blew carelessly. "I did not realize you were a being of such limited creativity."
  24. "Destroy." "Okay," said Bacon, confused. He stepped inside and looked. "Oh dear. I know these people too, don't I?" Seems remarkably short-sighted of them. ...if Narration didn't work, how exactly are you expecting to do that? As Subversion wrote, an ennuller came to take 656 away. He said something to her in a low voice, which seemed to cause her to become agitated. "Ah!" said Bacon. "Do I know you, too?"
