  1. "No, I've finished those- all except for one." He gestured to a particular rocky planet that looked suspiciously blue. "It has... more unique requirements. Here. Let's go to the surface, and I'll show you."
  2. Once the ally had finished with the outer planets, the inspector looked up from his work and nodded. "Good."
  3. "Make especially sure you get the orbits right. That's the most important thing."
  4. "Well, most of the planets will auto-fill, but there are a few we'll have to do manually." The inspector tapped a star and they were instantly transported there. He pulled out a few more charts. "Here. These are the chemical compositions and sizes of each planet in this system." 655 tried to remember, but he was too busy not thinking about the Ghanderflaffles.
  5. 655 looked disturbed the rest of the way up the elevator.
  6. "...you mean to say there is a non-zero chance of my brain exploding if I do?"
  7. 655 closed his eyes instinctively. He wound up missing the elevator doors. "Ow." He rubbed his head and stepped into the lift. "Well, it is what it is, I suppose."
  8. The Double Necro shall live! I will add two rules, one for each move. 5. Pieces may jump over other pieces of the same color. 6. All red pieces may move from square xy to square x(y-1). All blue pieces may move from square xy to square x(y+1). It is blue's move.
  9. The pair placed stars for... honestly, it was hard to tell. After a while, time seemed to flow thinner than water. At last, the inspector stood up, satisfied. "Finished." 655 immediately began to imagine what a Ghanderflaffle might look like. "Er... that's not supposed to be reverse psychology, is it?"
  10. X gasped as crosses of light blazed suddenly into being all over his body. Dark flame consumed him and he vanished.
  11. "Just a quick errand," the inspector replied, continuing to place stars. "This is much more important." "I can't wait," muttered 655.
  12. X's eyes widened. "We need to get out of here."
  13. "Well it hurts my brain," grumbled 655. "Indeed." The inspector began to place stars. "With both of us working it should take no time at all."
  14. X exhaled a sigh of relief. "Hello!" called X, peeking up besides Matra.
  15. X opened his mouth to answer bind points, but then remembered just how useful he'd been at the last bind point. He closed his mouth. While the bind points were important, they needed allies more than anything. "If Thaidakar can read my mind and open a gate that way, yeah." "I... we need to get to the bind points, but we also need people who can help defend them- I doubt we'll be able to do it on our own."
  16. "Well, now you do," replied the inspector. "It should go much faster from here."
  17. "A wizard?" X shook his head. "I didn't even know magic existed until today."
  18. X blinked. "That... thing... is named Emma?"
  19. 655 squinted. "How can it be moving so much, yet stay in the same place?"
  20. X exhaled in relief, then frowned. "Who's Emma?"
