Break Tank 4: Last Night, Rain Mingled With Mist

Checking if that counts as an ability. So time loop breaks if the Forsaken is drunk or poisoned. Archer, Wizard. -

So if we don't exe a claimed village Dragon immediately, they can just be drunk/poisoned forever and count as any dead villager when exed? Or win for evil? -

You don't get a flip. If they're not the Forsaken, and an evil Dragon isn't, you die instead. -

If a Dragon claims when they're voted on, exing them wins the game for their team. @Kasimir is this still true if they're drunk or poisoned at the time? If so, worth finding out now so we have time to test claimants. -

Pretty sure people agreed to this, or at least didn't object. Put your vote back for a second Aeoryi. -

The problem with a small game is that not all roles will be in play, so there's room for Forsaken to claim ones that aren't in the game, especially since they know one for sure. Early claims are more trustworthy, and I don’t think Raven can be the Forsaken since veteran can't be faked without counting on a teammate inn/apo. -

https://wiki.bloodontheclocktower.com/Leviathan What this game was based on, according to Kas. Might be helpful even if the roles are different here and there's less time. Going into D2 being unable to exe anyone is bad, but we shouldn't commit to voting no-exe D1 once we've given a Dragon time to claim (worthwhile D1) and then just waste the rest of the day. It's possible we'll have enough time to put pressure on people while making sure we can still get a no-exe if we're not sure. 12 hours goes by pretty quickly though, so still need to be careful. Getting claims is the best way to narrow down the Forsaken. A bigger problem than apothecary/innkeeper is that many roles are easy for Forsaken to false claim, so we need time for investigation and confirmation. D1 or D2 is probably a good time to claim. Veteran shot is especially good for resolving key or suspicious claims, though it doesn't guarantee non-evil. -

I'm already voting so I could only guarantee Araris's death instead of 50-50%. I am not that convinced of Araris being elim. -

@Kasimir, I remembered RavenJedi voting for me since it was personally relevant. I was running late and didn't have time to do more than vote, so definitely couldn't have watched who broke the tie. I voted Aeoryi more as not wanting Archer to die. I knew Ash would start to have more time in future cycles so wanted to wait. @Amanuensis, I'm voting Cash for saying that Aeoryi was the wrong train even though she lived while Archer flipped village. His concurrent vote for me on that basis made it look like he knew Aeoryi's alignment. This is opposed by it being an interesting choice to vote for me after agreeing it made sense for one of us to be evil. -

What reasoning? The idea that I would have pushed for an Archer exe today makes no sense. And why would you say wrong train when Archer was the villager while Aeoryi remains unflappable? Cash. -

Didn't want Archer dead + didn't like your voting for JNV just because Kas did. Landed did say he wouldn't be shocked if he was killed. Jedi is a stranger kill since people were voting for them. More likely the SK kill. -

Well that's making it a tied vote. I could vote Aeoryi or RavenJedi, but since I won't be around for the rest of the cycle it makes more sense for Aeoryi.- 1220 replies

Mid-Range Game 67: 'Twas the Night Before SA5
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It was a willingness to get voted on for v lean Archer, @Kasimir, which hasn't been the case for others that look to be pursuing convention goals. Having a real neutral throws off reaction tests, since nobody other than Archer can know for a fact whether Archer is village, and the SK is the only one who knows whether he's the SK. Dislike Aeoryi jumping on JNV vote. Don't think it makes sense to vote for me, but an elim would probably be aware of 'post something 3x' style convention game.- 1220 replies

It was to post the phrase 'Cohesion and tension' or vice versa three times. What doesn't make sense here? Is your convention goal just completely and utterly different than posting something?- 1220 replies

Good for you ig. That trivializes some of the games. For example, two of the fundamental forces are Cohesion and tension. Or is it Tension and cohesion? Definitely Cohesion and tension. Or maybe my opponent was Archer and he's already won, in which case, good job. @Ookla the Paradigm, she/her exclusively, none of this themming. Save that for JNV.- 1220 replies

Mid-Range Game 67: 'Twas the Night Before SA5
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Elims can have teammates run cover for them to win their game without being noticed by their opponent and have a better chance of being able to guess other groups, but they'll be less willing to risk suspicion being thrown on them by pursuing a convention goal, whereas villagers like I was guessing you were (claiming x3 for a convention game) would be more willing to risk themselves to win a prize since it's less harmful for them to die, even Brandon is more likely to sacrifice themselves than an elim.- 1220 replies

Mid-Range Game 67: 'Twas the Night Before SA5
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Archer's probably claiming SK for the convention game because he did it 3 times. It's worth it to sacrifice Brandon (by them claiming) for the SK if the game is close and late, but SK isn't the priority since they don't know alignments more than a villager. Easier for an elim to win a convention game, but think villagers more likely to care/less likely to risk suspicion. So Archer going for it without caring for the votes leans v.- 1220 replies

Mat changed that to outnumber, which is reflected in the doc. Evidently, he did not update his post to reconcile that change. -

Elims need to outnumber the village, so if it gets to 1-1-1 the SK will probably win if they don't get exed. -
