The way this is phrased makes it sound like Jasnah is an externally-sourced character who Brandon isn't writing correctly, and I think if you analyze any character with that mindset, you're already set up for failure. (unless that character actually is externally-sourced i guess) Brandon literally can't write Jasnah in a "way that feels off" because there is no way that feels on this is the source material. that isn't to say that he can't write Jasnah poorly, he can certainly do that. But as for developing the character as a whole, he can't do it incorrectly, because the way that he does it is just the way that it's done. as for Jasnah feeling "too perfect", I have 2 points for that. 1. Jasnah isn't supposed to have much character development yet. She is going to be a, if not the, main character in the back five, I'd expect her to be fairly stagnant here. Gotta save stuff for later. 2. I think that Jasnah's over-perfectness is handled pretty well actually. It's just that it's mainly done externally, as she doesn't have many viewpoints. She isn't like, accidentally perfect. It's not like the other characters don't acknowledge the abnormality that is Jasnah. They do, it is noted. It should be said that merely lampshading a point isn't enough to validate it, but I think it certainly helps in this case. I think that the real issue with Jasnah is that Brandon is doing things slightly out of order. Once the whole series is out, Jasnah will make much more sense. Let me explain. Right now, Jasnah is representative of tons of people. Let me steal some of Honorless's words: Let me add a few more, she also represents the perfectionists, the scholars, and more recently, the ace. The problem with Jasnah at the moment is that she represents too many people, while not having enough character of her own at this point in the series. This makes her a bit of an empty shell, and I think people are labelling her and identifying with her too much, just based on the things she's representing. They are filling that shell with what they think she represents and how they think she should represent them. And that results in the feelings I mentioned at the very beginning of this post. Once Jasnah has a more developed character of her own, these front five will feel much more fitting to her character.

well there is @The Sovereign who has a spoiler name for people like me who have not read it and I don't mind, and btw I think some people won't make the connection to kelsier really fast sooo, and they probably have seen spoilers for it anyways and it has been over a year since it realeased so I am pretty confident most have alread yread it.

No, that is not how things work here. Spoilers in usernames are not allowed ever. Someone being called "The Sovereign" by itself does not have a strong implication of a spoiler. That's just a term.
Your logic is inherently flawed, as you seem to be suggesting that since it's been a year, you can put spoilers in usernames. False. New people will always be joining the site. Someone would absolutely not be allowed to have a username of (RoW):

Your username is not the same, but it is still a spoiler and is not allowed.

We call ourselves the "official" Brandon Sanderson fansite, and I was just curious as to what that really means. Like, on a legal level. Back when the logo change happened, Ene said that we ran the new logo by Isaac, but that it was more of a courtesy. Like, we didn't actually have to. So then I thought, "What if all the mods collectively went insane and changed the logo to like, something profane? Or just something that Brandon would definitely not be okay with? would we still be the official Brandon Sanderson Fansite?" So that's my question. What exactly is the 17th Shard's Relationship with Sanderson and his Company/IP/all that stuff?

Just started playing ori and the will of the wisps
because i heard its similar to hollow knight and since silksong is busy silksonging, this seemed like a good alternitive
my impression so far is mixed
gameplay-wise, it's good so far. Feels very fluid. i love how there aren't many hard "rules". Like, objects in the background can suddenly impact gameplay, platforms that look to be in the foreground are suddenly able to be stood on. Makes it incredibly immersive.
graphics-wise oh mah gursh its amazing. probably the most beautiful game i've ever played
story-wise......kinda trash tbh. I'd describe it as "stupidly emotional". like, it's trying so ridiculously hard. and there are already so many cliches. it is the second game in the ori series, and i haven't played the first, so there's definitely some context i'm missing, but i think i'd still have this opinion.
honestly it's kinda exactly what i'd expect. a hollow-knight inspired game, but made by a ridiculously huge studio. Huge Studio generally equals solid gameplay, gosh dang AMAZING graphics, and pretty bad story. which is exactly what i've seen so far.
definitely gonna keep playing it, it's easy enough to ignore the story and still enjoy everything else.

list of other tiny complaints that i'm making as i find them:
-sometimes the music just stops when you go into the inventory. annoying. why can't i vibe when changing my spirit shards game. why. let me vibe.
-i'm worried the game is progressing too fast. i already have this game's equivalents of mantis claw and monarch wings and im 58 minutes in
-you can only pogo on enimies once before you have to land again. i hope multi-pogo is an unlockable ability.
-UI is kinda meh
-the way the game handles cutscenes is annoying. like, it'll still let you move, but you can only move in the direction the game wants you too. i'd honestly just prefer a full on cutscene.
I will say that I'm being rather harsh on this game because of Hollow Knight. Ori is genuinely a good game, and i've seen a lot of people get mad when it's compared to HK too much.
that being said, it should be compared to HK. at least a little bit. HK was such a good game that it raised the bar for the metroidvania genre as a whole.
