    one of the most underrated aspects of watching fireworks is the delay between seeing and hearing them. it’s really cool how you can tell how far away they are by comparing the delay. and if a bunch go off at once, it’s completely silent, they fade from the sky, and then you hear POP  POPOPOP     POP  in the exact same rhythm they appeared. it’s fun.

      Oh, I love that. Especially when you see a massive one go off and just have time to think "oh, this'll be good" before you feel it in your bones.
