I feel ya. I don't discord, don't know what's app. I am a Luddite without any desire to change. I see the purpose in the desire to create a random post. (Nothing against your position @The First Post, I know you're just trying to suggest viable alternatives, but sometimes you just don't want the alternatives) So, I just watched the Rick pickle episode of Rick and Morty. Holy crap, I used to think the high water mark of comedy was The Cape Feare episode of the Simpsons, but the Pickle Rick episode is the now the new SI unit for measuring comedic brilliance. Another random thought to send out into the aether, did you know that there's a game for sale at Target (maybe other places, but I know Target for sure) that is based on the Saxyness of Kenny G? This is a really cool idea! One possible implementation would be to have the orders other than bondsmiths grouped into triads based on self similarity, and when you first begin the game you are asked a couple of questions that sort you into the appropriate triad. Then you could have 3 game start scenarios based on the triad you're in. The Truthwatchers, Lightweavers, and Elsecallers could be a triad (based on their shared pursuit of scholarship/learning) and their start point could be the Palaneum in Kharbranth. The storyline could have multiple choice nodes that further would sort you into the appropriate order. If you're a male character you could be at the Palaneum to study to become a Storm warden, if your character is female you could be trying to become a ward, etc. The Dustbringers, Skybreakers and Windrunners could be another triad (based on their shared aptitude for fighting) and their shared storyline could start out as a Spearman in one of the High Prince's army at the shattered plains, or as caravan guards for merchant convoys in civil war torn Jah Keved, etc. The Willshapers, Edgedancers, and Stomewards could be another triad ( because they all could start out from humble beginnings) and their storyline could start out in a small village with the freedom to choose what they want to do. Talking to people in the village you would find out about the abandoned singer ruins outside of town, the very sick old woman fom outside the village staying at the inn, and that a brighlord is recruiting for soldiers to go to the shattered plains, etc. Probably would be best if there was more gradation between the choices, but it would also be nice to have an intuitive sense of what role you are heading towards as you make choices in the game. This could potentially be so epically cool, if as you are staring on the path of Radiance one of the seeming background spren starts following you around more and more the closer to achieving the first ideal you get.

After Sanya started her journey into the wastes and the initial worldbuilding had been sketched, I got sucked into the story completely. This bit was classic! And I was genuinely surprised by (spoilers for the story) I'm excited to read more installments of your Apocrypha Unbounded!

Granted. Just like Lift you can slick your body so that you can slide frictionlessly on your knees, squeeze effortlessly through narrow spaces, and generally make it impossible for anyone to grab you. Unfortunately, this process works differently for you, you can't convert food into stormlight powered awesomeness, you have to use secreted mucus instead, kind of like a human slug. After using your awesome slug powers to fight crime and help the downtrodden you become a folk hero, and people lovingly refer to you as Greaesed Lightning Slug, so it's still pretty cool. I wish I could gain super powers by napping.

I think this sounds right too, and this connection based model fits with what we know about shardplate regeneration when two separate pieces of the same plate are being regrown at the same time by two separate parties. The two operative variables in this mini tug of war are: 1. Who controls the preponderance of the plate (this imparts an advantage) and 2: Who can fuel the regrowth with more stormlight. (the active part of the war). If damage to shardplate is just damage to the connections between the composite spren, then it makes sense that you would have an advantage in the war to regrow the plate if you had more of it due to the larger number of connections to the scattered and damaged pieces. The advantage in access to stormlight probably stems from the fact that investiture is necessary to restore these connections. There is another wob that implies that distinct elements of the shardplate are also distinct cognitive entities. Like if you successfully managed to regrow a glove of shardplate from a fragment of the original glove, then the glove of the original shardplate would disintegrate. This implies that connections are tied to both the larger entity, the shardplate as a whole, and to the specific role in that larger entity (vambrace, glove, helmet, etc). This would also seem to imply that specific spren are tied to specific points within the sub-entities of the plate (i.e. Joey the windspren is the tip of the pinky finger in the glove of the shardplate). If this is the case it might be possible to destroy dead plate in Shadesmar by killing the composite spren with an Awakened blade like Azure's. Supporting WOBs
