    Because Mayalaran, in the Cognitive Realm, is described the same way a Cultivationspren (like Lift's Wyndle) is described. We also had a WoB for confirmation already, and in the Mayalaran thread (which is somewhere on the first page) it's also been discussed that Adolin has done a few Edgedancer-like things where he focuses on details over the greater picture, which we know by WoB is an Edgedancer thing.

    Eh. That's a shame. It's a nice comparision though, which indeed points towards strings stretching through the Cognitive Realm. (and it once again uses light as base)

    Brandon has explicitly said that, just because characters get flashback books, they don't need to be alive for them. So Eshonai might very well just stay dead.

    Now I'm wondering wheter, at some point, the Highstorms will stop coming because of something Odium does, and then Renarin has to save everyone with his Voidbinding.

    Just to make sure, I'm going to put my whole post in spoiler tags for Oathbringer, as there's a few minor Oathbringer spoilers in there. No actual plot spoilers though.

    The consensus seems to be that "Shallan" as we know her, the optimistic girl with the quick wit, is also a false persona, just like Veil and Radiant, and that she just hasn't let her true self out ever since her childhood.

    Dalinar's storyline was absolutely amazing for me, mostly in the finale.

    That does not mean that there is no difference between a respectful debate ("I disagree because reasons"/"That's wrong because evidence") and a disrespectful debate ("that's nonsensical"). In fact, the defining difference between synonyms is often that one is more respectful than the other.

    On PC, you need to select the text and then use the option just right of the "crossing out" option and just left of the "quote" option, you then get a popup where you have to paste the link. On mobile I have no idea because I never post (or even read) on mobile.
