  1. So, yeah, no idea what to make of it, but reading through the recent WoBs I saw this one which I thought pretty interesting and which no one talked about: Apparently, there is a connection between the Shin and Scadrial. Of course, we already knew the Shin were different from the rest of the 'Rosharan' humans due to their different physical characterestics. This WoB seems to imply that the Shin are originally from Scadrial, which makes me very curious about the timing. We know that Stormlight Archive and MB2 play at about the same time, which logically means that the Shin have to have left Scadrial before the Lord Ruler - the Lord Ruler came about 1300 years before MB2, while Roshar's history puts the Recreance at about 2000 years ago, yet does not mention anything regarding the arrival of the Shin or something like that (they even have stories about the Desolations that ended 4500 years ago). Either way, though, is it safe to say that the Shin and the normal 'Rosharan' humans may not even originally be from the same planet? I've seen people theorize that there may have been multiple waves of human immigration on Roshar, and this seems to support that theory. Maybe the 'Rosharan' humans are originally from the previously proposed Ashyn, which would be the Tranquiline Halls, while the Shin humans (as well as maybe the Horneater and Herdazian ancestors?) are from Scadrial in a distant past? (I hope no one made a post about this WoB so far, but I can't remember any...)
  2. Kaladin doesn't "know that all who live wish me to let the blade slip", though.
  3. Popular opinion seems to be that Shalash might join the Dustbringers, and Eshonai was theorized earlier already to be a Willshaper, though most people believe Venli got her spren instead, making Venli a Willshaper.
  4. Just make a post/thread about it. Predicting what's going to happen is basically what this subforum is about. (well, and understanding more of the world of course) Also, it's not gonna spoil anything, because you don't have any inside information what's going to happen. If you're incorrect, we had a good read and then get another good read once Brandon gets to it. If you're correct, we have a good read and then another good read because we're like "yes it's correct, and that's correct too and OH MY GOD THIS IS CORRECT TOO", and at any point Brandon might divert from what you've theorized, so there's no suspense lost. (and if you're really unwilling to write it up just PM it to me please )
  5. This is an absolutely amazing theory. Don't know how much more I can say. I'll probably use it as a source though, once I rework my theories regarding the workings of Investiture. I feel like you just solved several of the questions I had.
  6. We've seen somewhere (I believe something the Stormfather said, but it may be a WoB) that the Oathpact is not actually broken, despite what the Heralds said. Because it's not broken, I could see Honor being okay with it - after all, he cares about wheter or not an oath is broken, and apparently it wasn't quite broken. Thus, he might have agreed with Cultivation doing this.
  7. It kind of got kick-started by the title having "Fast Travel" in it in caps...
  8. Luck can't get you everything if it's EA running the universe. *cough*$2100*cough*
  9. I would argue that a Radiant would win because of their healing powers and ability to do a one-hit-kill. A Fullborn though... Yeah they'd defeat a Radiant no problem. Feruchemist might as well. Healing is important. It means you can take risks your opponent cannot take.
  10. But would Honor not care about the letter of the oath? As the Stormfather (?) also explains at some point, the Oathpacts isn't actually broken, so I would assume that Honor would be okay with it - the Oathpact still stands.
  11. Not everything is Pay2Win...
  12. Not only that - we actually got it two weeks early.
  13. Looks to me like our version of Oathbringer is trade paperback. We got mass market versions of WoK and WoR though.
  14. "Paperback" is simply a soft cover, right? Because if so, then yes, we got one.
  15. Let's be real, this is actually just super funny/amazing.
  16. So... Not incest but rather selfcest?
  17. That's unexpected. I'd have expected a RAFO on questions related to that.
  18. Okay, set my reputation to 32576 then. EDIT: I may or may not be thinking about 32768 instead. (ftr, the "576" is at 1 048 576)
  19. I mean, no one walks to High Hrothgar or down from it more than once, right? Why would Mraize be different just cause we're calling it Urithiru now?
  20. Then at least make them public.
  21. What about TwiLyght and Kobold King though? They're much, much higher than the 10 000 required for God Beyond already. TwiLyght is at 29.8k and Kobold King is at 27k.
  22. Ookla: As for what I think will happen, I think that Dalinar will ascend to take up Honor, and later on Odium and maybe also Cultivation. I don't dare go much further than that... Brandon likes his plot twists. I do think Dalinar might take up Honor as early as book 5 already, however.
  23. Considering ME2 plays after SA1... Does that mean "Shallan's" Red will become a worldhopper by book 5?
  24. Yeah but, when I quoted that very WoB just five posts back, maybe you should just refer to it?
  25. I'm just saying, I revived this thread literally by posting that WoB.
