Not coming with what the claim is? -

I still think you're running into trouble with this line of thought, but let me ask something else first. What is your claim? -
TUBA - The Underground Bakers' Association
Leyrann replied to Stormblessed Dolphin's topic in The Alleyverse
The organisation may have been created on the order of TUBA, but it is a seperate organisation. The only organisation you could sue for copyright infringement is the Light Alley (when a company practises copyright infringement, you're sueing the company, not the people that lead the company), and the Light Alley does not exist anymore. You've had a month the time, you didn't do it then, you're too late to do it now. (and of course your case is still extremely flimsy as well) -

But TUBA has never claimed to be the Light Alley. Yes, members of TUBA have claimed to be part of an organisation called the Light Alley, but never has TUBA as a whole claimed to have the name Light Alley. -
You are not in charge in TUBA either. Additionally, your claim for the Light Alley was that it had been overthrown because it went inactive. The Church of the Stick has been inactive for even longer. Please note that I am not trying to start a disagreement between the Dark Alley and the Sticknaughts here. I just intend to point out that you are not treating different guilds equally currently, which is hardly compatible with your claim that you are neutral. (I actually just think you're sore that TUBA gave the DA such a powerful blow)

So... Why no lawsuits here?

So you're part of... The Forgetful Archivist One Man Guild? I'd like to see that one survive a substantial amount of time...

TUBA - The Underground Bakers' Association
Leyrann replied to Stormblessed Dolphin's topic in The Alleyverse
I ask again. What, other than a name change, could be asked of an organisation called the Light Alley? -
We do not attack first. If we fight, we do so in self-defense. For the record, if you're not attacking us as part of the DA, then what are you part of?

Actually, as someone who's just past his teens, yes teens can be smart, certainly, but they are also impulsive, they do stupid things, and they tend to be naive. Additionally, they will likely think that they are safe in the introduction thread of a forum... Little do the poor kids know. As for the 'size' of the old Light Alley, the membership drops significantly once you only count people who posted two times or more. I also very much doubt they had any conversation elsewhere, while I can confirm that a sizable amount of TUBA interaction does not occur in the forum thread. That is also all I will reveal, I would add. That is quite the sociopathic line of thinking. Rather than caring for them and making sure they have a good time, you're abusing their naivity for your own good.

And teenagers are known for their thought-out decision making. They are never impulsive, nor naive. And there we have the difference. TUBA has a sizable membership already, as you are most likely aware.

But I do not need to. I am part of TUBA. But tell me. How many members did most of those new guilds have?

Actually, yes you are responsible. A kid is not aware of the dangers a bat poses, as an adult you are supposed to teach them of it's dangers, and to reprimand the kid if he hits another kid with the bat. Also, there's a reason you don't give your 6-year-old a gun, right? Not exactly a compelling argument, but sure, if you believe that.

You compel them to stab themselves by convincing them to take a bite of a cookie with a spike.

I am not saying it is an absolute truth. I am merely saying that terrorists and freedom fighters are the same people from different points of view - in fact, I mentioned that before you, so -1 for originality there. As for whether you're terrorists... I'll write an essay on it sometime, I doubt I can fit everything into something shorter. EDIT: Correct, except in one case. If you, by force or otherwise, compel them to stab themselves, you are a criminal, even though technically you did not hold the knife yourself when the stabbing occured.

Freedom fighter. Surely you realize that the classical "different points of view" is freedom fighters or terrorists. I don't think I am alone if I say that you just branded yourself a terrorist.

TUBA - The Underground Bakers' Association
Leyrann replied to Stormblessed Dolphin's topic in The Alleyverse
Okay. So let's explore the hypothetical situation that a judge would accept that line of thought, and you're not going to sue for using a copy-righted name. You look up those guys who call themselves the Light Alley... And then you find out the Light Alley no longer exists. There's nothing left for you to sue. @The Forgetful Archivist I hope it was clear that I was merely expressing the ridiculousness of the claim, not truly aiming to spam this forum. I'm a he, by the way. -

Huh. So if we'd create 50 threads and get the Dark Alley to the 4th page of the forum, that means we've overthrown the Dark Alley? Give me a moment, getting my spam bot ready. (I would also like to refer to my post just above which ninja'd you) -

In fact, @ElephantEarwax you are right now trying to sue an organisation that does not exist. -

Interesting thread. Now where does it say the Dark Alley has overthrown it? Additionally, where do you have proof that the Dark Alley has the patent on use of the name "Light Alley"? And if that is even the case, who will you sue over the name "Light Alley", when the organisation no longer exists? Sure, if you indeed have patent on the name "Light Alley", which I doubt, you could probably force a name change for an organisation named that. That is also about all you could possibly gain, however, and considering the organisation no longer exists in any form, there is nothing for you to gain anymore - at all. -
I mean, if someone is a worldhopper, then we no longer need to question whether they can survive that long. I'd be kind of surprised if Gaz was a worldhopper though, particularly because I doubt a worldhopper would be stupid enough to build up so much debt he'd have to flee.
