Wait, there are Costcos in Australia? Woolworths has them pretty regularly, and a bunch of vending machines at my uni are doing $1 cans.
-
Really? $.80 US is about $1.05 Australian atm and there's plenty of places here that have $1 cans

I think it's just kind of a prequel in general, just a place for people to try out new Epics while worrying less about keeping a character in with politics. But not specifically for Astoria unless I'm missing something.

Surreptitiously an extra maid entered, carrying a platter of chocolate chocolate chip cookies.
-
I'm no weatherman but I'm going to start sentences like that almost constantly now.
-
Well Nutella is certainly prone to making some people scream I guess...
-
Excellent well I'll get started making some more Epics to fit in then.

I'll take 10 soulcasters for 150 pts and 2 divisions for 100 pts. After poisoning the majority of Westeros' water supply with my Soulcasters, killing the vast majority of enemy soldiers I will simply march through the world conquering as I please to very little opposition. Yes it's simple, yes it doesn't account for certain enemy spymasters but I also think it would succeed because what would it change even if they knew I'd just poisoned all their water. It would just take an extra day while they all die of dehydration before I march with my army of 10,000.

Gresham sounds good to me, plenty of Vanillas to torture-maim-cover in ice cream?

the most useless uses for useful powers

Awaken something with the Command: 'Be Awakened' -
All the Epics in Connel are soon to be dead unfortunately, although I suppose we could just have all the new Epics moving into the power vacuum to try to take the city, but then the idea of warring gangs is less likely since there wouldn't be time to set them up beforehand.
-
I like this idea, unfortunately I could only commit- *Quickly checks list of Epics* 50-70 low to mid tier Epics to it

Cross Clan/Guild Common Rooms
Voidus replied to Surgebound Rainspren's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
As Voidus finished wiping the bile from his mouth in his quarters in the Dark Alley he suddenly felt that he should be glad he got out of that contest when he did. -
He could, but I want to try to avoid creating matter out of no where as much as possible so he needs to eat the materials needed to create any new structures like that, he can do some Kandra-type stuff and keep sacs of undiferentiated materials inside his body but new bones would be pretty difficult.
-
He needs to maintain LoS for as long as he's affecting someone, for Vanillas he could kill pretty much every cell in their body in a couple of seconds, for Epics he'd be limited to reducing effectiveness of a certain type of cell, the timeframes would vary depending on what he targeted but some quick estimates would be: A few seconds - could produce symptoms similar to a cold, mild headache, trigger immune responses. ~1 minute - More serious symptoms would develop, depending on what he targeted- lungs could begin to break down causing labored breathing, fatigue, fever, nausea and vomiting. ~10 minutes- Severe symptoms develop, permanent damage to targeted organ system, high grade fever, likely to cause unconsciousness ~1 hour - organ failure and probable death.
-
Could be, I just think it's because of the amount of health needed to heal wounds as quickly as they do, they'd need to compound their health thousands of times in order to heal from wounds like they do, that'd take weeks of resting for each time they get injured.

Just to get the final Ok on my two Astorian Epics, I changed Bioterror around a little so he can affect Epics but because Epic metabolism is weird anyway it's difficult for him to produce lethal effects and impossible to insta-kill them. Bioterror: Primary- Metabolic manipulation, can manipulate the metabolism of any organism at a cellular level, capable of causing near instant death or a myriad of other effects in his target, due to the alterations in the mitochondria of Epics his powers rarely have a lethal effect on Epics but may still produce unpleasant side effects. (Organ damage, disease, etc.) Secondary-Personal cellular manipulation, capable of completely manipulating all of his bodies cells. Passive: Temporal regression, a form of regeneration however injured he becomes the flesh and blood will quickly fly back to his body, reconstituting his body. Adventurer: Primary power: Toolazyfordooranimations- Capable of teleporting instantaneously to the other side of a barrier, uses this ability to never actually open doors for the most part, however can also teleport to the other side of a wall or use it on the ground and teleport into a nearby cavern. Secondary: Shaders- capable of creating either a point light source in his hand to act as a torch or creating an ambient lighting to light whatever room he's in. Tertiary: Minimap- geospatial awareness and radar capabilities. Passive: Reload!Reload!- Resurrection capabilities.

Well I swore I'd make Captain IScream canon and I stand by that, and he'll need a team so yes, they will be. All of Oregon shall tremble before the Just Deserts! Somehow yes it does Hingle McCringleberry: Primary: Orchidification- At any point Hingle McCringleberry can transform into an orchard of berry bushes covering a vast area, these bushes somehow all have sensory perception. Secondary: Something I will think of later Edit: Also now definitely goes by the nickname HingeMcCringe
-
Also Sergeant Sorebet will be joining the team.

I was going to go with Paincake but that works too

Aons Might Be Hiding The Cosmere's Secrets
Voidus replied to Blaze1616's topic in Cosmere Discussion
There's definitely a basis for it, there's a few linguistic similarities across the cosmere but I think this one was just because it was the only Aon he could use as the base of a certain name so it's got no similarities to Ati. All the Surge-Aon connections are good finds though. -

Yeah I remember the same WoB, though I can't find it on Theoryland anywhere. Edit: Oh, also the Shardholders are all from Yolen: -
So did I, I just said that the difference in power is no where near enough to account for the amount they need to sleep, their other powers were so close to normal Allomancers strength as to be nearly indistinguishable there's no way that only their gold feruchemy was so decayed that they needed to rest for hours longer each day.
