There's no direct canon answer that I know of, but Ruins influence is caused by a 'hole' to the soul resulting from having another piece of soul stapled on or just from being crazy so I'd say almost certainly just hemalurgic spikes, without the intent and being stabbed through someone else first I don't think metal would damage your soul.

If authors take after the way their characters treat women then as Nighthounds writer you're in a way worse position.

Well only because he's explicitly stated to absorb energy rather than just create it. I mean Steelheart obviously doesn't eat enough food to power his energy blasts so Epics definitely can create energy out of nothing, just than for Obi that's said not to be the case. I definitely think there's some kind of cap otherwise he could obliterate (heh) the entire planet in half a second but having too much energy to play with is an easier problem than it appearing from nowhere.

I demand photos immediately! I would love to be able to pull off a purple cloak and bowler hat but unfortunately I just don't have PP's ability to carry it off. I think it's in the beard.

Actually, something else to consider, Obliteration isn't dark when he absorbs sunlight, he still reflects light just like normal and in fact even starts glowing later on which means he can't be absorbing anywhere near 100% of the sunlight that hits him so either he's absorbing the energy directly from the air or else he's actually absorbing the energy from the sun once he's connected to it by a ray of light. So rather than just absorbing sunlight he's actually just using it to connect his powers to the sun itself and siphoning off a portion of it's energy. This would allow energy to be conserved without needing to multiply it and would allow him to absorb enough energy to melt a city. Thoughts?

That's the same thing, the 'kilo' prefix is just a way to designate a thousan of something, then mega is a thousand times that, giga is a thousand times that.

Tea, coffee or hot chocolate depending on circumstance. Mostly tea since it's clearly the best drink ever.

For the record I look exactly like you'd expect someone who spends all day making new Epics: Very pale and usually hunched over my laptop.

I have exams soon and I feel like a Sharder at a signing event. Hopeful but dreading that I won't actually get any answers.

But the reason they give isn't consistent with David's definitions from Steelheart and I believe we have WoB that some people in universe could consider her to be a high Epic by virtue of her projections since it certainly makes it difficult to kill her conventionally although David and Tia don't.

Depends on the size of the city and the nuke, but I'd say it's at least on the same order of magnitude, a couple kilotons at least.

Voidus raised an eyebrow as Xanas temporarily lost control of his body. "Really? We're a hemalurgic research institute, you don't think we're aware of and have counters for that sort of thing?" Voidus pulled a Blessing of Stability out and, taking careful aim, Steelpushed it into Xanas' spiritweb, rendering him far more resistant to emotional Allomancy.
