  1. It's not too different to healing really, both parties still remember the event as though it had happened, it's just that Flashback isn't dead now. We haven't used precogs up til now because they're insanely hard to right with so many different authours, you'd either need to check ahead of time just exactly how every character in the scene would react before making your post or just have your precog inexplicably still able to be surprised by things.
  2. It's not too different from any other character reaction, like if I wrote 'Firemancer threw a fireball at Lightwards' Kobold would still have to write up a response, with time travel at least some of the work is already done.
  3. Also like the new Epic with the restrictions although if everyone else retains their memories I don't see a problem with him being able to play the minute over as many times as he wants. Could definitely make for some interesting scenes. He'd certainly be welcome in Salem if you'd like, Soulcaster would find him pretty interesting.
  4. Well you already have my Dalles character weaknesses so I support this.
  5. He could just be the most powerful, not necessarily unique, the only meta Epic capable of affecting High Epics. We have confirmation that meta-Epics are possible and as far as we know prof is utterly unique in having 2 PIs even compared to the likes of Steelheart and Regalia so either way he's unique. I just think that if prof is the only Epic with two defensive powers then there must be a reason, there should be plenty of combinations of them so why is it that Prof is special?
  6. Could be but it might also explain some things, like for instance why Prof has two seperate High Epic powers as well as such a diverse portfolio of abilities that doesn't fit into any Epic category David knows of.
  7. It is childishly fun to finally tame a Brontosaurus and walk around with it, shaking the earth with its footsteps as it meekly follows you. In short: Definitely worth the money, would recommend. Also don't swim. Like ever. There are giant sharks that eat you every time.
  8. It is indeed, it's poorly optimized but the devs are pretty active so I have hopes it'll see a lot of improvement. I just spent all night in the rain with my little torch feeding berries to a giant turtle while my pet triceratops insisted on pooing on my head. There is much fun to be had.
  9. Salem's welcome to all, Astoria is our designated OP character thread and he could certainly fit in there but Salem has High Epics too. Salems mostly going to be combat focussed, I'm not planning on much intrigue or city-wide plots going on although that may change in future when we get around to more openly destroying the state. There will be regular arena matches between Epics of varied power levels and in various conditions and settings as well as some Epic vs. Monster battles and the like. Astoria is pretty combat heavy too but has a bit more happening that affects the city, I'll leave it to Edge to better describe it.
  10. Nope all good, heads up is always appreciated but the MEE is largely NPC.
  11. Agreed. It might make for a nice going out in a blaze of glory death scene but then the MEE aren't really supposed to have those kinds of scenes. They get to have the 'accidentally stepped on' death scenes.
  12. Well the characters in the MEE are easy enough to replace, I have hundreds of Epics lined up but I made it because it provided a handy source of canon fodder for interesting fights where player characters didn't have to die so unless we're moving onto the final great battle of Portland anytime soon I don't know if I want to demolish the MEE yet.
  13. Yeah it's got some terrible framerate issues and occasional rubber-banding but it's awesome all the same.
  14. If you can hate that then not only do you have no soul you actually have negative souls.
  15. And on top of all that he probably hates pugs.
  16. Hell would probably open up a portal of their own because all the demons got scared of Nigthound.
  17. This call would inadvertantly inspire the Reckoners to pick up a young girl called Megan and travel to Newcago several years hence.
  18. As he knelt, cowering in fear he accidentally knocked a slip of paper containing the weaknesses of Nighthound, Lightwards and Timeport into the hands of Angel along with directions to a nearby gun store.
  19. It would indeed be hilarious if in one fell swoop Backtrack became the biggest single killer of Epics in the known world
  20. Actually the MEE does have one interesting defense going for them, granted it's not much in the way of them not being destroyed but Zip can shrink down then entire building they're in so it's essentially invisible if needed.
  21. Only got it yesterday but I've been marathoning the new dinosaur survival game Ark: Survival evolved which so far has been incrediblawesometastical. Anyone else got it?
  22. Technically everyone in the MEE is new, it was only founded today after all
  23. Well I imagine Whittle is probably going to be eaten before he has the chance but in the face of Nighthound level Slontzeyness I think C4 would probably say something, like Neverthere she's a bit of an opportunist.
  24. Well not even all Christians can agree on what heaven would be like so it wasn't that surprising but with the continuing themes of redemption, death, resurrection and morality throughout there are some very strong Christian influences. EDIT: Oh also just caught up on that Salem post, Soulcaster is a man
