  1. Well yeah but they still reside in our universe, you can't say that for instance your Epic can control water and then say that as part of that he can turn it into the sun, that's a separate power that just doesn't make sense. If you don't want it to do the things that antimatter does then just don't call it antimatter, there's a few Epics who can create what can only be described as exotic matter with weird properties. Which brings me to the second point again, someone with enhanced intelligence would absolutely know that that's not antimatter, I may be smart but I'm not Einstein and if I can figure it out someone leagues beyond even that has no excuse really. I'm happy to trust that you'll make it work, just giving you a heads up that it's going to be incredibly difficult to make it a realistic character and it's going to need an awful lot of time and research.
  2. Well once Calamity is out I might be able to do something but for now I think he'll have to stay as an Epic.
  3. I doubt it, he's pretty good on science and consults a bunch of people on it. I think it's not quite mass as we usually understand it but that's the closest to it.
  4. Maybe blindness to your children still being alive is just a Skywalker thing.
  5. I still regret turning my vanilla into an Epic. Crazy Vanillas are more fun to write. But crazy Epics are also fun to write and I do have just an absolutely insane number of Epic profiles that I need to characterize so I guess he was doomed from the start.
  6. Well he collected it by hearing someone else recite theirs so it may be difficult to acquire in that age but that doesn't make it take up any more space than storing a similar length conversation.

    Lerasium Alloys

Well technically Mistborn aren't within natural allomancy rules either, saying that it's outside of Allomancy's rules to have someone with two Allomantic abiltieis isn't quite correct all we know is that it doesn't happen naturally.
  8. I'm not sure that you could argue that High IQ is equivalent to having a lack of ethics or empathy. The Logical part is proportionately higher so it would certainly skew things in that direction but it doesn't mean they're any less able to use emotional reasoning, it is from a certain perspective just a different set of logic applied to certain axioms.
  9. He'd have to live pretty much perpetually in incredibly slow motion, which would mean that in his 1000 years of living he's probably experienced something more like 100,000 years. Not saying that that's impossible but I find it unlikely, particularly since the easiest interpretation of copper compounding is that it would perfectly allow for the perfect memory without needing to permanently compound Zinc. On that topic there's also the question of whether or not he could actually fit that much memory in a coppermind, Sazed used multiple and he's only lived one life and that life has not mostly consisted of devoting absolutely everything he experiences to memory.

    Lerasium Alloys

I think the point is that it's impossible naturally, but much like hemalurgy Lerasium is an unnatural addition.
  11. It could but I was just identifying that the ultimate cause is likely that the Obligators are male and hence Inquisitors would be as well since we don't really have a cultural comparison for elite magical assasin-warriors while we do have comparisons to Obligators which have traditionally been held by men.
  12. Yeah that was what I was going to say, Especially a group that is both religious leaders and the bureaucracy that runs the empire.
  13. Yeah but in that case I think it's kind of underplayed a bit, you'd be more likely to just bash his skull in than in a somewhat annoyed tone tell them to let go. Especially someone who grew up in that environment.
  14. So he's organizing them chronologically? Because then he would need to look through literally every face he's seen in the last generation. Plus while that's unlikely that's absolutely the person he'd want to remember the most since they're either a compounder or a worldhopper.
  15. Pretty sure they were explicitly recruited from the Obligators, if they found a misting outside they'd probably be more likely to use them as a spike than an Inquisitor. Inquisitors needed to be completely loyal.
  16. A couple of potential issues. Vastly enhanced intelligence like that is kind of hard to deploy for similar reasons to precognition beyond just a danger sense is. We don't really know what's going to happen most of the time but a hyper-intelligent character probably should. I'd probably suggest a more limited but potentially powerful version of it, perfect recall, intuitive understanding or something like that. Antimatter is another problem, antimatter doesn't really explode as such it would just annihilate and release gamma radiation bursts. It'd pretty much kill everyone in the city with even a small explosion.
  17. True but faces in particular would be pretty difficult. How would you organize them? Plus even with Zinc that would mean that every time he sees a face he has to sort through a thousand years worth of memories of people.
  18. Are there female Obligators? Because that'd be the obvious reason.
  19. I think there's WoB somewhere that it usually distorts more but I don't know that that would necessarily mean much, they'd probably be no less recognizably human than most other Inquisitors.
  20. I didn't mind the hand thing much, it's the usual kind of stupid movie stuff mixed with the kind of social awkwardness that you'd expect of an orphan surviving alone in a hostile environment. Although didn't she keep saying it while they were getting shot? That annoyed me a bit.
  21. No but it leads to it if you actually retain it, your brain can't form new connections to that memory unless you actually keep it in your head.
  22. Regular copper couldn't explain flawless memory that can remember someones face for decades, you'd have to comb through every coppermind you had for the faces of everyone you meet all the time, they'd degrade inside of an hour. It allows you permanent access to it all the time without having to relearn it. With the memory stored in a coppermind you have to know that you need the memory in order to access it, it allows for no creative spontaneous use. It's like the difference between a trained engineer and someone with access to engineering manuals.
  23. Yeah I doubt that would do much other than just give the abilities you spiked them with, hemalurgic constructs are pretty difficult to get right, without the power of the well TLR spent 1000 years trying to create more and couldn't manage anything other than the ones he already had.
  24. Just to clarify a few things. We know that Allomancy genes mess with feruchemy genes to make ferrings possible, we don't know that feruchemy genes do much of anything to allomancy, the reason there aren't Mistborn more likely has to do with the fact that there have been too many generations since the last Lerasium Mistborn. Most Allomancers were killed during the events of era 1 so there weren't strong enough genes left to produce a Mistborn. Also TLR probably didn't keep the Terris around for their feruchemical abilities, he went to great lengths to minimize the amount of feruchemists through breeding programs and turning all the old feruchemists into Mistwraiths, I think the reason he didn't kill them has more to do with his inherent nostalgia, he didn't want to wantonly slaughter his own people. As for why there were no Twinborn in the first era that's likely due to those mentioned breeding programs, Terris breeding was strictly controlled precisely to prevent any Twinborn since TLR didn't want to have any competition or to give anyone any clues as to how his powers worked.
  25. To be fair plenty of guys get annoyed at it too, I held the door open for someone exiting behind us from a restaurant once and a very kind gentleman told me I was a horrible person for doing so.
