  1. She prefers to think of it as her reign of civic duty.
  2. She's expanding her kill-policy to include people who idle at green lights as well as Epics.
  3. Alrighty then, well Scribbler will be walking/busing her way to the clinic depending on how far it is
  4. Actually this brings up a point, is there any public transportation in the Dalles?
  5. Much as she might be tempted to make a dragon and burn Arsenals house down on her way I think she'd probably be on foot.
  6. This is accurate. I am now very tempted to have her fly into a window at some point.
  7. Give it long enough and everything becomes an RP joke
  8. Welcome to our newest Lurker. We'll set up an office for you as soon as we clear out the wails of the damned that got stuck in there. Have you read Shadows of Self yet? It's not a great example since it may be using a God metal of some kind but the Hemalurgic creatures in that are even more feral than Koloss I'd say, pretty good evidence of the removal of free will to a degree. It's certainly an interesting area of research.
  9. Short Impact/Scribbler post up. Wherin Impact discovers that tripping out on prescription drugs while having the capability to actually fly is an interesting experience.
  10. Impact drifted slowly through the air, her perception already being altered again by the medication. She took it slower than was perhaps necessary but it was a nice day and she didn't have anything else to do. No looking after Megan to make sure she didn't get in trouble, no hiding from rampaging warlords. Today she could just do what she wanted to do. She pulled her mobile out, scanning through some books she'd downloaded when she'd been more lucid, they covered a wide range of topics, from meteorology and geology to physics and psychology. They'd had something to do with her powers but right now she just could quite remember what it was. She switched the phone off instead, she'd have time for reading later, for now she was quite content to drift through the sky, watching the city below her as its occupants scurried about, no doubt terrified of Epic attacks or military maneuvers. Or that Slontze from the yesterday. She spared a moments thought for him and the revenge she would soon wreak but instead she found herself distracted by a passing bird and decided to chase it down instead. Scribbler nearly tossed her phone clear across the room when it woke her, irritation etched across her face. damnation alarm must be broken. But a moment later she realized the tone wasn't her alarm, it was that of a message. Disturbance at Dr. Games clinic, other personnel are currently occupied. Report to Dr. Game and assess the situation, provide protection if needed. Scribbler moaned as she read the message. A house call? It was to the clinic at least and since it was another officer who sent her she hopefully wouldn't have to report to Arsenal but she still felt as though she'd barely slept. Message received, leaving for the clinic now. L. Lockser Her reply may not have been as polite as it should have been but between her tiredness and an underpinning sense of annoyance she simply couldn't muster up the energy to send anything else. She quickly changed into a fresh uniform and headed downstairs to find her parents had already left. A cold piece of toast on the kitchen bench had been left for her, which she stuck into her mouth as she grabbed her writing kit and left the house. Maybe the doctor would offer her a coffee to help pick her up. Or perhaps more helpfully some kind of amphetamine, though she didn't want to see how a drug like that would interfere with her powers and emotions.
  11. Sentient cardboard. It's a boring answer but not every part of the DA can be interesting. As for why there is only one answer: For SCIENCE! We also have non-hemalurgic cookies, we just don't give them away as often. I mean if you ran several quintillion functioning bakeries in various realms of existence would you give the cookies away?
  12. Here is our guild thread, I'd recommend dropping by to say hi to everyone else but yeah basically.
  13. Lurk in Introduction threads and offer people cookies
  14. To gain full membership into the DA we request that our members either make a sale of cookies to someone or else post a suitably interesting theory on the natures of Hemalurgy or Investiture in general. Other than that just pop in every now and then to discuss any topics that come up, we do some Role-play with the other guilds and around the forums every now and then but it's not compulsory.
  15. No mostly things like being embarrassed in front of friends. I'm not sure how you wear that exactly but hey, the abyss has always been a weird one. Ah well as a scientific and hemalurgically created demi-god I wouldn't know That all works out for the best then.
  16. You don't have to spike yourself if you don't want, but most of us find the occasional compulsion to go help a lawman in the Elendel basin to be worth having access to cosmere-wide abilities.
  17. Not really, we mostly just do our own things. There are a few misguided guilds who keep trying to bring us down but it hasn't worked so far.
  18. He was adamant that he would only come if he could cloak himself in the nightmares of innocents.
  19. We're called the Dark Alley, we've been friends with the abyss so long that I'm planning on making him my best man.
  20. Science above all else. Also insane parties.
  21. Well I was going to say his safe return to the Alleys but having examined him he appears to have undergone mitosis. Probably a side effect of that Trellium spike we were trialing.
  22. Well he is dead at the moment so you'd be a servant of Harmony at the most and he's pretty relaxed about the whole thing so relatively little taking over of minds. We also have a non-hemalurgic section.
  23. Quite a few, they're all down in the social guilds subforum. I think the DA and Newcago are the biggest active guilds at the moment but I haven't been to the others much lately.
  24. Because I only had a King high at our last poker tourney and DA bets are weird. Also I think someone was curious as to whether or not the quantum nature of spren could then let us spread him out as a probability function through all of his Horcruxes. Not sure why they were curious about it but again, the DA is a weird place sometimes.
