  1. when someone uses the word odious, but all you hear is odium.
  2. Yeah that trading would get interesting fast. Rock and sixth of the dusk
  3. I know I'll catch flak for saying this, but lift is major league level annoying. The whole mindset sets me off every time that I read edgedancer and her interlude. Her logic seriously bothers me as a result she is my least favorite character. thus WoR is a paradox for me both my favorite and at the same time not so much.
  4. We may not intend to, but predicting the future is of the voidbringers. WoK
  5. Dear Surgefinders, I am Nathrangking a mysterious and powerful entity from the spiritual realm. I command powerful magics which makes me more powerful than any shard splinter. I travel the cosmere waging a silent against the forces that threaten to destroy everything in the cosmere. I was born in the early days of the cosmere prior to the shattering of Adalnasium. I am a singular entity who arose from the permeation of magics that emanated from the existence of Adalnasium. I have no finite form my only limit is what I can imagine. In my early years I watched and learned how to harness the vast magics at my command. I have traveled to places where no mortal soul has ever even dreamed of entering. I am not bound by the rules of time I do not age and as such I have no worries such as those of mortal beings. I have witnessed the destruction of countless worlds. The things that I have learned could fill realms. I have forgotten more than most worlds will ever know. I have few allies in this secret war. Even with my vast knowledge and powers I lack the ability to protect existence by myself. I seek here compatriots, and allies with whom I can make a difference and protect those who need protection. I seek to right the wrongs of all worlds and here I know this goal can be fulfilled. Now is the the time for me to step from the shadows and act. I have come to Roshar because I know that I can no longer keep fighting a hidden war. This is the new front and I am ready to fight for the survival of this world and every other. I pledge my loyalty, knowledge, and powers to you and vow to never stop fighting until Roshar is freed from the darkness which attempts to destroy everything in all realms. Forever yours, Nathrangking
  6. Granted, but they are so many that you are driven into insanity. I call upon the powers of the nightwatcher to fulfill my boon. I wish for all of my faults to disappear.
  7. Vasher could be a conjugation of shaver- shard/splinter/broken. @Stormsurfer what do you think?
  8. The 17nth shard forum
  9. SA is by far the best series I have ever read it is so deep in terms of plot that even now my third time through WoR I am catching things that I have never caught before.
  10. Granted, you get a fish on a dish but it is so small that it cannot be seen with the naked eye. I call upon the powers of the nightwatcher to fulfill my boon. I wish to always be healthy.
  11. Shai and Wayne would be pretty interesting.
  12. Sebarial at any time may just be hysterical.
  13. Elokhar gets annoyed When someone calls him paranoid. He jumps at figments they leave him without pigments. And he fears death's void.
  14. When you are disappointed that your seafood dinner lacks a gemheart.
  15. Granted, you will always find clean socks, but they will be torn beyond repair. I call upon the powers of the nightwatcher to fulfill my boon. I wish to be happy for the rest of my life.
  16. @StrikerEZ the way that they are both interconnected and at the same time disconnected make them far more interesting than anything else that I have ever read!
  17. When you suddenly remember the answers to the test and later take off your penny necklace.
  18. New mistborn please I like my survival chances better. Would you rather face off with a horde blood lusting koloss or a single thunderclast.
  19. Lift I would honestly laugh and probably attempt to befriend her. Would you rather be named truthless or be named Prime Aqasix of Azir
  20. @podman36 granted. You will be able to think of good usernames, but everytime you try to write them down or articulate them you will forget what they are. I call upon the powers of the nightwatcher to fulfill my boon. I wish to always be able to get my way.
  21. In any case the relationship is similar to that of the average spren the main difference being that the Stormfather is magnitudes more powerful than the average spren. I personally think that tavanast's imperative is what sealed the deal.
  22. Lerasium could only make one a mistborn if in fact Leras had the power to do so after all Lersium is simply Leras's investiture in solid form. As @CaptainRyan pointed out Leras would be driven to maintain the status quo and hence would be reluctant to change people.
  23. I think that as @Calderis pointed out the Stormfather could not simply be corralled into a bond that he did not desire. There is a clear give and take to the relationship that they are now a part of. Dalinar may get the power to surgebind, but he is limited by the will of the Stormfather in that he has no shards. He has not taken control rather he has made a connection which allows the Stormfargerto fulfill its prime imperative to bring the KR back into existence by establishing a leader to head them.
