I'm not sure that I agree with that sentiment.While it is true that this is meant to be stand alone having Zahel as a extended P.O.V would not raise more questions than say a hoid. I must disagree. He is arguably the greatest swordsmaster ardent that dalinar had having him there as an extra precaution would have made sense. This was a major moment for all those involved they would have taken every precaution. Having an expert swordmaster would have been a logical move. As I stated above it would be a logical move to have an undercover agent/ ardent who could blend in and act as extra security if necessary.

Even so the scope of Ialai's network is purported to be quite large and secretive in its own right if she catches wind of them she being the opportunist that she is will most likely see them as a threat due to the way that they can operate undetected. Ialai was always the most dangerous element in Sadeas's sphere of influence. She will be a thorn in Dalinar's side which in time will sow much chaos. I am interested to see how long before she and the Ghostbloods run into each other. That will prove to be an interesting clash.
