  1. I'm screaming internally just thinking about it.
  2. Not necessarily ruined by I do find other stories far less interesting. I attempt to get into others but end up just wanting to read the Cosmere again.
  3. The only reason I like the UK covers is because of the consistency, my shelf looks beautiful and it's hard and inexpensive to purchase the US versions. I don't mind the cover art, it's striking and curious but I can't get over the fact the the UK art for Hero of Ages looks like Jensen Ackles
  4. We're going to need to start a Cosmere Anonymous group, aren't we? Welcome! If you haven't already read Arcanum or at least Mistborn: Secret History, I'd recommend reading it after Mistborn Era 2 because it gives slight spoilers to a certain character. Way of Kings is my favourite of the Cosmere, if not ever. I hope you enjoy the ride!
  5. I think the go-to answer would be Kelsier. However, his death inspired hope into others and if he was "saved" how do we know that the plan would succeed? I don't think there was any other way. I'd pull out Elhokar, I think he was killed at the wrong moment just before he reached his true potential.
  6. Do we really need a new thread every single time it goes up a percentage? In other news: Hoorah!
  7. If this is your first read through then you definitely should keep us updated! It's a helluva ride. There's a Cosmere Book Club on Reddit going through this exact same thing, too if you wanna look into anything further: Cosmere Book Club
  8. The Lopen!! I remember wanting Spook to be a major character then I read Hero of Ages.
  9. It's a great ensemble movie. Infinity War is very much Thanos' movie and this is the OG Avengers. Let us know how you like it!
  10. Yeah I agree that it's inconsistent. I'm in the UK and just waiting on the UK reveal since those appear to be so consistent from my shelf anyway. The portrayal of Spensa is so different here from the Skyward cover.
  11. So I traded in Anthem and Sekiro for Days Gone and I'm enjoying being Daryl Dixon for a while! It's an immersive game and whilst it's gotten bad reviews (so did Final Fantasy XV and that's a top FF game for me) I am enjoying it. My biggest issue is that I can see how it could get repetitive but there seems to be more opening up which could counteract that.
  12. The similarities you have are, whilst genuinely interesting, completely irrelevant because it has been confirmed to not be part of the Cosmere. It originally was planned to be which might explain these ideas you've mentioned but as @equinox stated; Earth is not a part of the Cosmere. If it were then we'd have to include Reckoners, Snapshot, Legion and so on which, whilst great, would prove more convoluted. I think that it's great your mind works to try and include connections which is a great Cosmere discussion! It would be good if the Earth stories were connected in some way also. Good theory though, it was a great read
  13. No-one knows Wit's endgame yet, it could be taking up a Shard or finding those who will. I don't actually think his goal is to be a Shard holder but to guide those that are destined to hold those shards rightly.
  14. Simply: it's a pleasure to have you.
  15. Brandon has a quote for everything! I'd place Sazed in Hufflepuff, Kelsier/Vin in Gryffindor, Elend in Ravenclaw. These are tough!
  16. I thought this was going to be a "What Cosmere characters would belong in which houses?" thread and was ready for it!!
  17. I know, theres a quote that confirms he refused a shard.
  18. US covers for BS never really do much for me. I'm in the UK and the Cosmere books are so consistent (minus the Oathbringer paperbacks) but I feel that this US cover makes the book feel more YA. Seems akin to the Alcatraz covers.
  19. Can you expand a little on Creationism in the Cosmere? Are you saying he is the embodiment of religious belief of divine creation in the Cosmere or another Shard we have yet to see named this? Personally, I do not believe Hoid to be a Shardbearer. If he was, I feel he wouldn't need to go looking for other forms of Investiture. He would most likely use this Shard he holds to attempt to win others over. Brandon has said that he was present at the Shattering, was even offered a Shard yet refused to take it.
  20. Post Reod Elantris, that place was not a great place to live if you had a paper cut.
  21. I imagine Sanderson standing on trial like TenSoon to the 1st and 2nd Generations in Hero of Ages. Being loomed over by his peers, ever judging.
  22. Wow, I wish I could draw! I hope you get to start a larger, more detailed piece!
  23. Could be burning some Tin right now to undo the blurry!
  24. Every time I read this title, I picture us all in a support group-style hall wishing we were able to ingest the lamplight.
