Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon
Eternum replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I see.. Alright. I'm voting on Arinian, then. I don't particularly want to lynch him, but I don't want a lover pair to die. EDIT: Drought, iirc ties are random. Also the Ciridae can pick who dies in a tied lynch, too.- 406 replies

I.. really don't understand the point of lynching Arinian. It gives us near to no information, and he might just be busy. We've been lucky this game, since our hunches have been paying off, but I feel like it stretches imagination to implicate Ari as evil just for being inactive.- 406 replies

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon

Orlok claimed Minor Singer to me too, yes. I haven't gotten a Namer message either. Orlok could have been the Namer, but we'll have to wait until next cycle and see if the Namer sends another message. Also, that's fine. It's not really about knowing how to play. I've been part of the community for a while now, and I still don't know what I'm even doing 3/4 of the time All we ask for are your thoughts. We don't have any pennies to spare, though, so tough luck- 406 replies

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon
Eternum replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I have a hard elim read on Alv. We shouldn't trust him at all, and we should lynch him this cycle if possible. So.. yeah, it's a fair assumption that this is Encanis's doing, especially considering we previously didn't know exactly what his kill did. The big problem here is that, despite the fact that we're in a pretty big lead, with two elims and two (three, perhaps?) villagers dead, we have very little usable information, in large part because of the lack of elim kills so far. I'm going to put a vote on Alvron, to not back down on the suspicion I leveled at him Jokes aside, this is just a placeholder. Genuinely, I have literally no valid suspicions, though I'm kinda iffy on CadCom. Not enough to really justify lynching him, though. I'd also like to hear more from @I think I am here., @xinoehp512, @Arinian and @Megasif before I place a serious vote. Vote count: Walin (1): Bort Orlok??? (1) Walin (This shouldn't count, but eh. I'll leave it.) Alv (1): Eternum- 406 replies

Who's this Orlok you speak of? Edit: Also, a quick question. There was another Namer message at the beginning of the last cycle, right?- 406 replies

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon

We just did in 3 cycles what Tehlu himself couldn't do in.. a much longer time. I can't remember Also, Wonko died with 7 votes on him. The irony of the leader of the Chandrian being killed by 7 people.. heh. ...Guys, I just noticed. Orlok isn't in the player list anymore? Is that an error? EDIT: I just realized that might be Encanis's special kill. In which case, well, dang.- 406 replies

..Bravo, Tehlin Monk. Bravo. This must not be fun for the elims, and I empathize, but.. impressive. Luck factors into this heavily, but I'd like to keep my faith in humanity at its current peak and assume it was pure deduction and skill- 406 replies

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon

I've been burned by this assumption at least twice I played in QF27, Orlok (It was my first game, actually! One heck of an introduction, huh?)-- You can't fool me! Or, well, you can. And have... Bort, never ask for something from the Cthaeh. You'll get it, and then end up starting a war that destroys multiple civilizations you were supposed to protect, then possibly turn into a mythical creature on whose name nobody can seem to agree on. Fun times! Jokes aside. The person I'm really most suspicious of right now is Wonko. I voted for them last cycle half-heartedly, but right now they seem like the best choice. @Wonko the Sane, you have two votes on you. As Alv said way before me, care to respond?- 406 replies

Yep, I got another message. Our Namer™ really likes ciphers, huh? Speaking of, I think it's pointless to try and crack them. Comparing the two we've gotten so far, I think it's a one-time pad. Virtually uncrackable, if we don't have the key. What happened to the elim kill? They're having pretty tough luck.- 406 replies

@Wonko the Sane Let's be honest, anyone that looked at the vote count would come to that conclusion. Either that, or Skindancer possession which makes no sense, seeing as an elim died. What's your point? You also seem to be implying a connection between Snip and Devotary, which we now know (or rather, assume) to be false, as Snip is Rae's lover, if she's not lying. Which, come on, Devotary, she could be. Trusting her word immediately like that isn't a good idea. However, I don't want to lynch Snip for much the same reason as CadCom. I'm going to place a vote on Wonko, partly from suspicion, partly because I don't particularly like any of the other lynches and partly because I don't want to get that much closer to death. I really don't like this Steel lynch, though. I'm not even sure why you all are even suspicious of him, to be fair. I have a mostly village read on him. Rae, the Cthaeh is equally as dangerous as the elims. If they win, nobody else does. It's not a particularly good idea to ignore it or the elims.- 406 replies

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon
Eternum replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Fifth Scholar (On mobile, did the mention wrong, now it's stuck up here. Oh well.) Suspicion might not be the right word. I think I know what the cipher is, but I haven't decoded it yet. I would also like to mention that a Lover can cast a vote for their partner, if the latter did not vote. That can be an explanation for Drought's vote.- 406 replies

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon
Eternum replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Everyone really wants to play, I think. I can understand Steel's nonchalance, because it's how I act too when I'm getting lynched. He defended himself, but what's the point in going the step further when it's obvious you're being lynched, eh? @Walin Everybody got that message. Full cipher is BHUSZ JIRQE ILRME, for those that don't want to go back to their PMs to check. I'm too lazy to try deciphering it, but I have suspicions regarding what it might mean. Encanis.. apparently he's difficult to "banish", but let's look at this in game terms. I suspect that just means he has two lives, to be honest. We can't be expected to strap him to an iron wheel, throw him in a pit and burn him alive, especially since Tehlu himself did that one- 406 replies

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon
Eternum replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Cadmium Compounder, the seven thing is a reference to the books. The Chandrian are 7.. beings, for lack of a better word. 7 elims in a game of 20 people is just poor balance. So we can rule that one out. @Arraenae I think the Ciridae got lucky in this case. There does not seem to have been any vote tampering, as far as I can see, aside from Walin's shenanigans. @Bort I also got it. Is it possible for a Namer to send a message to everyone? I wonder. I think Walin is a Jester-- his vote wasn't nullified, its weight was set to 0 which, as far as I know, only the Jester can do. EDIT: Storms, Steel's post didn't show up. Yes, according to the message everyone got it, now that I actually read it. Hrm.- 406 replies

Okay, I'm kind of uncomfortable with my joke vote being what pushes Steel over the edge, so.. Steel. I won't be voting this cycle (Not seriously, at least). I don't see a point, and random lynches are always more fun. Just so I don't get that much closer to death.. Alvron- 406 replies

You're welcome, Fifth I've seen Walin vote for himself in at least a couple games now, so I don't see it as alignment indicative. I'll probably change my vote before the end of the cycle, depending on how things progress. I don't have more than mild gut reads, really. @Aonar Faileas, you're sneaky, but not sneaky enough- 406 replies

Well, this is fairly empty, isn't it.

I don't particularly care about who lives or dies, and thus there's no point in me voting, to be honest. So you all go ahead and sate your bloodthirst I'm going to be more active, having sorted out work and all that. So expect to see more of me, I suppose.
