True, Amaram has scope especially if he survives a few more books. Sadeas does have potential in the Dalinar prologues though.

In such a racist society, I don't believe the treatment Sadeas gave those women would have been frowned upon asmuch which doesn't make it any better, just more understandable. The fact that Dalinar had both lighteyes and darkeyes in his elite force was pretty cool. Dalinar was a soldier who liked killing, not the worst thing ive seen. What exactly is his horror? In a warfilled society that glorifies the life of a soldier isn't this normal?

Yeah the prologue made me hate Sadeas even more and love Dalinar even more. Seeing how much he has changed for the better is refreshing while Sadeas was the same conceited pig. However, the fact that Dalinar feels pity for Sadeas is at the peak of his character development imo. To look past a person's mistakes and think of their good side takes so much character its almost impossible(especially when the person has personally wronged you) This is what separates him from the rest of the characters like Kaladin who cant look past their hatred. I'm honestly pretty surprised people are not taking Dalinar's side in this issue. Sure we feel sympathy for Adolin but I fell awe for Dalinar who stands for what's right despite all of the pressure he goes through etc.

Yeah, that would be cool. Most likely author would be Khriss and Nazh, Hoid is another possibility.

Could the in-world Oathbringer contain the reason for the recreance? Some will feel threatened by it(radiants) some few may feel liberated(wasn't there one order that stayed on), if this is the case it would answer a lot of questions.

@Calderis That makes sense, but the fact that he found the eyes familiar seems to indicate otherwise, my first thought was Eshonai, but that's just an idea, it may be referring to something completely different.

An interesting thing about the Dalinar flashback is the fact that the archer was never referred to as Teleb, I hope it's someone else who we'll meet soon, the blue tattoo just shows that he was an oldblood.

Shards are bound by certain rules, this seems to be one of them. According to Honor, this idea (champions) might be their only option. I agree with @Nathrangking I don't believe it will be human vs shard(that sounds ridiculous lol)

Lol I have no problem with all of that, but Paran's relationship with Tattersail, Crokus, Paran's character, Felisin( I HATE HER SO MUCH) and many more left me unsatisfied. Great worldbuilding with many great characters (I loved Icarium) but it did have quite a few flaws.

Looking at the size of IRL armies, it's not surprising fantasy armies are that big, they are pretty realistic, surprisingly. I agree the populations of these worlds may differ but since most of these worlds are in eras of war, the number of soldiers reaching such numbers is understandable.

My first Sanderson book was Wok followed by Wor, I loved them (one of the best books I've read) When I found out there were so many easter eggs here and there, it just made me more eager to read the other books. Brandon is really smart lol

So I was rereading mistborn era 2, and I came across the 'connection' section, which explains how worldhoppers manage to speak the local language. This explains how Hoid manages to speak native alethi, so can he communicate in rhythms? It's a native language to Roshar, so technically shouldn't this be possible? Could we connect it to this? Yeah its weird how the local people of Roshar know so much about what's going on and yet don't lol. A lot of their everyday conversations include very accurate saying, the most striking(for me) was this one :' Taln'el bearer of agonies'. I believe this was discussed in a previous thread.

Fair point I forgot about that, but the fact that it wasn't black and wasn't sheathed more or less confirms it wasn't nightblood.

Dalinar is probably the most honourable character in the book so far(arguable). He's had visions from the Almighty, he's a legendary warrior, doing his best to be a politician and failing(he's becoming better), has a good code of ethics that he sticks to(he does go a bit extreme with this though, forcing it on sons). I agree he's not a great father, and does make mistakes, but doesn't everyone? Storms! Kaladin killed Syl! He's such a great character with excellent character development.

Sheathed shardblades are very unusual, it's unlikely Taln's was. More or less confirms it wasn't sheathed.
