Mac walked forward behind Voidus. Stopping just as a goodbye escaped his mentors lips. Life before death. For the second time in a couple of minutes Mac was struck by how they could embody that oath right now. He sought to follow through the promises he made to the first citizens of this city, and to preserve what he had helped build. They were saving the lives of those who were dead. Helping them when they couldn't help themselves, giving them new opportunities to create new life for themselves. For the second time in a couple of decades, the DA was on the side of the city. This city stood as a direct testament to the power of Hemalurgy. The man in front of him used the power of Ruin to create a place that was home to thousands of people. A system designed by the embodiment of entropy had created something that had lasted for hundreds of thousands of years. Maybe longer. It represented the triumph of creation over chaos and emptiness. So why did people try to tear it down? Why did he use to be someone who would have done that? Perspective, he thought. Smirking, he continued. It all seems to come down to perspective. Those who lack it don't seek to build, they seek to destroy. They think they are the most important, and that the only reason to live is for themselves. Its when they see that they aren't the only people there that they realize there errors. He started walking around voidus, inspecting the body of Ajax within its metal cage. Musing on the connectivity of his thoughts. They all seemed to focus around perspective. Of course, from other's perspectives we are the same way. We have spiked enough people to fill a city, and we've done it in the name of science. Of the future. While some would see us as living for ourselves, taking what was others and keeping it for ourselves, we see ourselves as living for the future. Gathering knowledge for those who will come later. That they would be able to learn something. I wonder which is more right? "Well, it seems things are all wrapped up here, It's been a long day, so I'm going to go lie down for a bit," He turned to Voidus and continued, "I'll talk to you in the morning, there's a few things that we should probably look at regarding cleanup." Like how the heck is Cam allowed to grant apocalypse licenses? When I asked him about this fiasco his only response was that they had filed all their paperwork properly, so there was nothing he could do. Turning away from Voidus he walked into the Alleys, grey, phantom walls appearing around him as he left the scene of carnage and re-entered his home.

Well ajax just had his soul spiked out by aluminum, essentially destroyed, so that just leaves the mist and the Sja-Anat clone.

That's great! Could you put some form of that into the character bio? The way you describe the oath breaking makes a lot of sense. In addition I was basing a little off of the Recurrence, but that is also an outlier, and his reaction to his spren is perfect. He is approved.

My concern is why wouldn't his spren appear to him telling him to breath in stormlight and be healed? My understanding is that perception wouldn't change in an instant, even though he lost his memory, his cognitive self wouldn't just go blank. He should still be able to heal that damage. Furthermore, I think it was mentioned in the books that oath breaking takes longer than a single event. Sorry for being nitpicky, I just want to make sure that this character is really outlined well because its an awesome concept. The thing is, while they can't remember their backstory, they still have the memories from when they woke up after the head trauma. That would be all they had so it would have a huge impact on them. Those memories are the person now, so the confusion as they inadvertently killed a spren, the weirdness as they came to the alleyverse, etc. are the new person. Making sure that this is outlined is almost more important that outlining their original life, because at the beginning this is who they are.

Your character looks good. Not sure what the equipment comes out to, but I will say that any metal object that is awakened to sentinance acts like a shardblade due to its high level of investment. The earing wont be able to do anything, but the cleaver comes out to 40 for the shardblade effect. Its still nothing close to the 150. Okame and Malu are approved I'll add them to the list. For amnesiac I would ask how his bond was broken? I don't feel like just being whacked with a club would break the bond, especially with stormlight healing he should have recovered nearly instantly. At the very least his spren would have appeared and told him to breath in his stormlight.

Mac watched as the Stranger danced with Ajax, keeping him close and occupied. Did he realize the protection he was offering the rest of the city? He was saving them from years of torture and pain, and while he wasn't undoing the effects of the invasion he was certainly stopping it from getting worse. All the Stranger was doing was helping his friend. Trying to take some of the burden away from him. It was interesting how both actions were completely different yet still exactly the same. The Stranger couldn't care less about the city, but he was protecting it all the same. The rest of the city couldn't care less about the stress their god was under, yet he still bore it all the same. It all depended on your perspective. Mac surveyed the destruction of the city again. Keeping an eye on Ajax's lackey's, he watched them destroy building after building, life after life. It was in these types of situations that Radiants were created. Carefully, he looked closer at the city, trying to see if maybe... Aha! There two were! Unlike Roshar, spren were rarely seen in the physical realm unless a prospective Radiant was nearby, but now he could see both a Cultivationspren moving along the wall of the building, and a Lightspren floating through the rubble. When his eyes were drawn back to the fight, he noticed a blue-white streams of light curling around the stranger, then leaving him and flying closer to Mac and Voidus on the sidelines. Either an windspren, or an Honorspren looking for a bond. Why would they be flying around the Stranger and Ajax? Was it due to their actions? It couldn't be. From what they knew of his motives, Ajax wasn't doing anything worthy of a nahel bond. The Stranger wasn't worthy of one either. Furthermore he certainly didn't care for a bond in the first place. So why was it there? Maybe it was the Sprens perception. When it flew out there the spren didn't know anything about why they were acting. It just saw that they were protecting the city. Yes, that was probably it. After all, there was no way a spren was investigating the Stranger, or any other DA member. The first part of the First Ideal, Life before death, took away any chance of that happening. Suddenly, the Stranger threw Ajax into the ground, Unwittingly protecting the city from danger, doing more than any windrunner Mac had seen, yet at the same time doing absolutely nothing.

Yep. Hopefully the fight between Ajax is wrapped up in a post or two, and then we can officially launch era 4.

It did. We have a lot of stuff planned, but we need to wrap up the main plot and then we can start the next Era and launch all of the plots.

@Lord Furret I moved your characters over. Kiregen: Investiture: Enhanced Shardplate that was modified with half-shards, to make it more powerful at the expense of speed and maneuverability, plus the cost of refueling and repairing it. 45 Skills: Expert with melee weaponry, a skilled strategist. 75+40 Equipment: Ornate dual-axes, smelted with a combination of Steel and Aluminum, to make it harder to be manipulated by coinshots and lurchers, with chains on the handle allowing them to be used similar to whips. Weakness: Slow, refuses to fight dirty, or use “Cheap Tricks.” A few powerful coinshots or lurchers could use the steel in his axes against him. Devout follower of the Alethi War Codes. Blames the guilds for what happened to his wife and son. 15 160-15= 145. They are good and are added to the list.

Time to quadruple post! Hello everyone! As you may have noticed, the mod team has been somewhat lacking in activity lately, with several of its members having completely left the Alleyverse. As such, the Mod team has been working for a couple of weeks to try and select new mods and get them mod powers. We haven't been able to get them mod powers yet, but we have replaced Mraize and kidpen with Sorana and I think I am here. Thank you for your patience us as we have been short handed, we hope to be able to be better mods going into Era 4! - Alleyverse Mod Team
