  1. Vin wouldn't have killed ruin (and herself) and Sazed wouldn't have taken up both powers
  2. the stick was not her first attempt, the aforementioned goblet was her first attempt, and there was also the ship, it was probably just a difference of stormlight and energy
  3. could you post a link to it?
  4. interesting concept but could a goblet imagine itself being blood, or a human being fire
  5. when was this? I haven't read this before, or i forgot either way could you elaborate
  6. it could be Honor and Cultivation being splintered, a fear that Odium would be allowed to destroy Roshar with little resistance
  7. It might also have to do with the fact that sailors often personify ships, therefore granting it a stronger intelligence and sentience, and a connection to the sailors so that it wanted to help them in any way possible. Whereas the stick is just a stick.
  8. you put the same quote for both of them
  9. Teft: "I ain't grouchy I just have a low threshold for stupidity Wayne: "Some mistakes, though, you can't fix by being sorry. Can't fix them no matter what you do." Lyft: "I'm so storming pure I practically belch rainbows." Szeth: "White to be bold. White to not blend into the night. White to give warning. For if you were going to assassinate a man, he was entitled to see you coming." Llarimar: "You are a god. To me, at least. It doesn't matter how easily you can be killed, how much Breath you have, or how you look. It has to do with who you are and what you mean." Sarene: "It's like I'm at the bottom of a hill watching an enormous boulder crash down toward me, and I'm throwing pebbles up to try to deflect it." Kelsier: "There's always another secret."
  10. @kenod @Extesian thanks this helped a lot
  11. @Walin it says twig not stick so it doesn't count
  12. she was probably just a seeker, but either way does it really matter?
  13. yeah, especially since Dalinar can't react to him, I think he calls them journals or something
  14. interesting, never thought about why he could interact with the people, just thought of it as something that just happens
  15. are you talking about the lightweaving he did?if so then his lightweaving abilities come from Yolen, lightweaving is similar to this ability that Hoid has the heralds can use stormlight and they don't have spren and I don't know
  16. I was rereading WoK and during the first vision that we get to see, the one when the midnight essence attack a villiage and Dalinar fights them, one of the people in the vision curses by saying three gods theory time so its obvious that the ancient people had better understanding of the shards then the current Rosharians because we know that there are three Shards on Roshar/Roshar system Odium, Honor, Cultivation, and maybe the reason they know more is because of the teachings of the Heralds, who have probably had direct contact with Honor, and I don't know where else to go with this, your turn to speculate for info on this WoK ch 19
  17. Vin is Windrunner, tried to protect people Sazed is Bondsmith, maybe not sure about this Elend is Windrunner, tried to protect people
  18. I don't think they are either, they are what the shards have invested in and it keeps them trapped on their planets, the roots that keep them on their planets
  19. I believe Marsh became one, and he was able to determine the kinds of emotions that soothers/rioters were trying to manipulate and Vin accomplished this by burning duralumin and bronze at the same time. I also found this http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic so maybe bronze savants can determine when other forms of investiture are being used, but since they aren't very many bronze savants then no one knows how to do this I may be completely wrong, and Marsh isn't even a bronze savant, but just putting that out there
  20. I think the shards would continue to influence the worlds even though they have been combined, for instance Ruin and Preservation kept influencing Scadrial, though they didn't influence it as much as the shards on Roshar did, even though they were combined into Harmony
  21. this is all so awesome
  22. the song actually makes it seem like Odium created it but the Unmade used it to control the Parshendi, though it still says Gods not God. not sure if that was what you were saying or not
  23. so yeah, their Gods seem to be the Unmade
