Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, thank you for catching me up. I have an idea of who the Heklo is. I believe they are the person that I had a PM with back in...either C2 or C3. Near the beginning of the game. They've been the only person I've PM'd. I'm not going to out them, in case they are the Heklo like I believe them to be. If they aren't the Heklo, I would appreciate them coming forward and saying they're not. Because if they aren't, then I wouldn't be surprised if one of Ash or Araris was the Heklo that made our PM. If they don't come forward and dispute my claims, then I will assume they are the Heklo. And I would appreciate getting a PM with them.- 499 replies

Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hmm...well, that's unfortunate. I guess we'll have to start taking notes of how players are acting now, because one of our own will be turning against us next cycle, assuming we exe an elim now so we can survive that long. Best case scenario, we end up with a 4v2 next cycle. Worst case scenario, it's a 3v3. And that's not to mention the vote manipulation flying around out there, which I haven't really been keeping track of. If we're really lucky, SfS might be the elim...dione? Cambric? Which one do we think they have?- 499 replies

Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, I'm glad we got one of them, and TJ makes a valid point about Somebody from Sel. Not only did Dannex avoid voting on them, but SfS has also been really defensive every time they have been put under scrutiny. That's not necessarily indicative of them being an elim, but it does make it more likely in my eyes. If there had only been 3 elims and they'd killed Straw and gotten an extra elim, they still would only be at 3 elims against 4 village. While that definitely would've been a better position for themselves, I think the elims started off with 4 members, and were going for the kill on Straw to win the game last cycle. Now, the question is whether or not the Varvax Leader should protect Straw again. For some reason, Straw clearly seems to be trying to work with the elims. Which is odd, considering it's in the elims' best interests to just kill Straw and gain the extra elim, I think. I feel sorry for the poor guy who has to decide who to try and protect.- 499 replies

Well. I sure missed a lot. Okay, I rescind my vote on Straw and am gonna vote on Dannex because they are one of my elim suspects that it seems all of us are willing to vote on. Liranil, I sure hope you're actually a village dione and are gonna be doing your extra vote on Dannex. Also, I hope Straw has some way to get protected. Would be very bad if he got killed, even if we manage to get an elim exed.- 499 replies

Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I think Straw is bluffing. I think he's an elim (presumably their dione, though he could be faking for a teammate), and I think Quinn is the spy. I'm voting for Straw, but I could be persuaded to vote for Liranil instead, if no one is willing to switch to Straw.- 499 replies

Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well. That’s concerning. I guess I was wrong about the distribution and Breaker being an elim? I need to rethink my suspicions now. And there were two votes added to Breaker. I’m assuming one of them was village and the other elim. Maybe there are four elims and the only reason we’re still alive is because we have a Dione. I’m not sure what to think anymore.- 499 replies

Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This was the post that made me suspicious of you, specifically the first couple of paragraphs and the last one. It just seems like you feel like you're under a lot of pressure all of a sudden and had to work to come up with something to defend yourself while also getting some village cred by suspecting Breaker. Plus, the fact that you weren't sure of everyone else is a solid elim tactic to not have to work as hard to come up with opinions on every single player, which is hard when you already know everyone's alignments. As for my other elim suspicions, I've been sus of SfS since the start of the game, but I can't quite say why, besides that I feel pretty confident in my gut there. Breaker has been weird all game, and I don't like how it seems that they're giving up because they didn't get killed early on. And Dannex is just a hunch and another gut feeling. I think one Straw or Ghanderflaffle could be the Spy because they've been on the down low, while staying active enough to be helpful. And I think it could be Quinn (who I suspect the most of being the Spy) because they're being a little bit more active, but still mostly riding the wave of the overall village conversation. And I trust the others because I believe one of them to be a Heklo and because they have seemed the most honest of all the players.- 499 replies

Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, so I've only been slightly paying attention to this game (was visiting my girlfriend's family this weekend for Christmas), but I'm going to attempt to solve this game right now because I'm pretty sure we lose this round if we don't hit an elim. I think our elim team is SfS, Liranil, Breaker, and Dannex. I think our Spy is one of Straw, Quinn, or Ghanderflaffle. The players I trust the most are TJ, Snip, and xino. I'm going to vote for Breaker because he's been giving me the strangest vibes all game, and he's the one I suspect the most. I feel like Liranil's vote on Breaker is probably an attempt at distancing, but I'm willing to revise my opinion on that if Breaker flips village (if we even last that long). In addition, I believe that I know who one of the Heklos is. I won't announce them to the thread, but I believe them to be trustworthy.- 499 replies

Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Which one of us are you saying is more experienced than the others? Also, I’m annoyed on behalf of Ventyl. He always ends up offline right when things swing around towards him. It sucks getting exed when you weren’t even around to defend yourself. As for Araris, I’d look toward more inexperienced players as options for our elim teams. In my experience, newer players are more likely to fear kill than older players. Araris might not necessarily be a fear kill, but I think it’s one of the more likely options for why he was killed. As of right now, I think it is probable that the elims have a...whichever or the roles that’s basically a soother. There was a point where Archer was part of a big tie, and I could see one of them soothing one of the votes on Archer. For now, I’m going to place a vote on Archer again. I don’t like the way that the vote so quickly shifted onto Ventyl, and I don’t like that Archer had a vote moved off as well.- 499 replies

Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don’t have much time right now, and won’t be able to get back on until just before the cycle is over. I just want to say that I am actually very much pro-ties. If we tie a bunch of people, we force people to make moves. Whether that’s in thread or with secret votes, we learn who people want dead and who they want alive. And once we get alignments, knowing who certain people wanted to keep alive is very revealing. As of right now, people I trust the least are Straw, Archer, Snip, and Matrim. I think Ventyl is just being himself, but I could be wrong about him. I’m going to move my vote from Ventyl to Archer.- 499 replies

Whelp, that’s unfortunate. Anyway, like Mat said, I still stand by what I said about the distribution. I don’t think there’d only be three elims. That just seems like way too few to me. Also, I’ll poke vote Ventyl. Because he hasn’t shown up yet.- 499 replies

Mid-Range Game 47: Conflict of Superiority
StrikerEZ replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't think I'd give the elims only 3 members to start off with. That's a very small number, compared to the overall size of the game, to bank on them getting an extra member by killing the spy. I'd say it's probably more likely that the elims would start off with 4 members, which is around 25% (a little less). Finding and killing the spy isn't necessarily an easy task (unless the spy is like me in that one game where I accidentally outed myself...), so it would feel odd to base the distribution around the elims needing to find that one player to get to normal levels of numbers for an elim team. Though, do the elims need to kill the spy themselves, or do they get the conversion if the spy dies at all? Also, hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've played. It's been a hard few months, with school and covid and stuff. I'm glad to be playing SE again! And hello to all the new faces. I think like...7 of you are brand new people to me.- 499 replies

I’m really sorry for disappearing at the end there. I just recently moved back into my dorm at college and was dealing with that and the stress of starting marching band camp this week as well. I had a lot of fun playing while I had the time for it, and I was indeed the other double voter that claimed to Kas.
-
To be fair, that isn’t too dissimilar to how you acted with your teammates (most of the time) in LG67. Not saying I’m convinced you’re an elim, but if I don’t have any leads by D5, I’ll probably be looking into you next.
-
It might’ve been Sart then. I just couldn’t remember exactly who said it.
-
I knew something I said wouldn’t be understandable. What I was trying to ask is if it was Araris saying that the lynch on Lotus was most likely an attempt to get a counter lynch going since there was an attempt to lynch Devotary pre-Sart. I’m pretty sure it was him, and I think he was right about that, especially with Lotus’s reveal now. Granted, this opinion is subject to review upon Straw’s imminent demise. Also, good to know that Lotus saw Straw’s target and not some other variation of what they could’ve seen. Would’ve preferred the action, but this is alright I guess.
-
Well...at least one of the players I trust most is still alive. The lack of PMs is unfortunate though, I will say. I wasn’t using them enough, mind you, but I was hoping to start doing so soon. What’s with this sudden luck of catching elims doing the kills? Are we just getting really lucky all of a sudden? Or are the elims scared and trying to buy themselves time? I don’t want to spend a whole other cycle where nothing happens from the discussion because we’re all voting on Straw, though I do think it’s most likely that Lotus is correct. And if they are correct, I suspect they won’t last past N5. So it’s concerning that apparently both of our action scanners ended up claiming to out an elim at the expense of what is almost certain death. I mentioned something about the possibility of Lotus lying as well, right? If I didn’t, then I am now. I just don’t think it’s very likely, but it’s late and I’m feeling paranoid and need to think about it. Ultimately, I’m going to trust them until it is obvious that I shouldn’t. If Lotus does end up flipping elim, then we should go after Araris. Araris was the one saying Lotus was the most likely alternate lynch option to Devotary before we all bandwagoned on her, right? Or was that Sart? Not sure. Pretty sure it was Araris though. If it wasn’t, feel free to correct me. I still trust Araris right now, just saying I will probably put him at the top of my suspect list (along with Lotus) if Straw flips village. As for who else I suspect...I don’t suspect Kas, TJ, or Mat. I have a particularly strong indifference towards Ash, which at this point in the game is concerning. I hardly remember anything about Mint and Vapor, and thinking it’s likely that one of them is an elim, simply because there’s usually almost always one inactive(-ish) player on any given elim team. I’m leaning village on Illwei, though will probably revise my read on them if none of Ash, Mint, or Vapor are elims. Am I missing anyone? I hope not because I need to sleep. I hope some of that made sense, but I’m too tired to look back to make sure it does. EDIT: Was missing Elandera and Lahilt. Have nothing on Lahilt, so they’re tossed in the category of possible inactive(-ish) elim. Elandera makes going in the same category as Illwei, which is basically I don’t know, but will revise my opinions on them later. Though I do think it’s interesting that Elandera said what she did. Normally I’d probably read the beginning of her post as very elim leaning, but her question is very interesting. Is she possibly another roleblocker? Thinking she caught Lotus in a lie because she knows she roleblocked Straw? Or am I probably overthinking this? Guess I’ll find out when I wake up. EDIT2: @TJ Shade I see you’ve been recently looking. Just tagging you in case you didn’t see my edit.

That makes a lot more sense why I thought Sart’s accusation of Devotary felt so hardcore. Makes me feel more comfortable lynching Devotary (and if we found out she’s actually village, then we lynch Sart and should have the manpower to ensure a lynch on him).
-
So, I've been sitting back for a bit, and I'm not quite sure how to feel about Devotary right now. While her explanation does make sense, it seems like something that would be relatively easy to come up with after the accusation from Kas. And I don't like how she claims that there must be an elim hiding in a group of people that have all of the same abilities. Even in a normal game I think making alignment guesses based on role distribution is a bad idea, but this game especially seems like a bad time to do that. Powers and abilities were not assigned at the beginning of the game and have spread throughout the player base, so we have even less reason to assume that at least one of a large group of people with all the same power should be an elim. For now, I think I will be voting on Devotary.
-
I didn’t take an action last night, so I can’t say whether you actually roleblocked me or not. Sorry.
