  1. Lorinne was shy, but she at the very least knew how to stay out of trouble. She would store in her steelminds for most of the time in case anyone tried to pick a fight with her, and would burn tin as much as possible to listen for anyone who might try and hurt her. It got to the point where she was burning so much tin that she had to start wearing blindfolds to protect her eyes. She would avoid the others, because they can't decide that she must be a loyalist if they never see her doing anything wrong, right? At the very least, she wouldn't have to explain why she was always so slow. Other kids used to make fun of her for that when she was younger, but it was always so nice to tap a bunch of steel and show them off every now and then. Lorinne smiled as she sat in her room, reminiscing about fond memories from her youth. There was a crowd coming towards her room, but she was sure they were going to go after that strange fellow Lahilt. She'd heard people talking about how he must be a loyalist. She blocked out the crowd's footsteps for a moment, choosing to focus on reliving her childhood in her mind and- The door burst open. A group of angry looking people stormed into the room, accusing her of being a loyalist. The sounds were so loud that she just fell back on her bed, shaking her head to try and relieve the pain. It didn't help. The folks began to ask her questions, coming up next to her, but she could barely think over the sound of their stomping footsteps, their laborious breathing, the rasping hiss of their voices. Then came the pain as they began to attack her, taking off her steelminds in the process. In just a few quick moments, Lorinne gave her last breath as the group began to search her room and found nothing showing that she could've been a loyalist. Emi has been lynched! 2. Okay, turn's over! No more posting, PMing, or submitting actions until the next turn is posted!
  3. Just popping in to say hello. I won't be much more active until tomorrow morning (though I'll probably take the time to respond to things after I'm done dealing with rollover tonight if people tag or quote me). Just want to say that I think placing a vote on someone who hasn't posted yet is a pretty good tactic to get them to post. Gives them an incentive to get online. Once they do post, then you can evaluate whether or not you'll leave your vote on them or not. For now, I'm going to go ahead and put a vote on Eternum. @Eternum You were the first name I saw when I scrolled back up and glanced at the player list. Explain why you should not be killed.
  4. Sorry, here's a correct vote count: Emi (4): Ashbringer, Lahilt, Magestar, TJ Shade Lahilt (3): Emi, Mist, The Young Pyromancer
  5. Emi (3): Ashbringer, Lahilt, Magestar Lahilt (2): Emi, The Young Pyromancer This should be right.
  6. Just as a clarification for the thread: roleblocks do not prevent a player from taking that same action in the next turn.
  7. Death. Reginald Kettis was witnessing the death of the poor man who went only by the name God King. And there was another man who would soon attempt to give Reginald the sweet taste of death as well. Villin looked at Reginald with a deadly stare. Reginald began to run, pushing open the door to the God King's room and sprinting as far as his legs would carry him. Villin wasted no time before beginning the pursuit. They ran through many corridors, Villin right on Reginald's heels the whole way. Reginald began to think about how he would survive, or if he would even survive. Yelling for help would do him no good, just cost him his breath. Eventually he would run into a dead end and have nowhere to- Reginald ran into a dead end. He turned around, ducking as Villin's knife flew over his head and hit the wall behind him. Reginald barely had a chance to stand back up before he was tackled to the ground. The two men grappled on the ground, each seeking to get their hands around the other's throat but not quite able to do so. For a moment, Reginald managed to get on top. Then it was Villin. Then it was Reginald. On and on went this dance of death and life, each man fighting to be the one that would get to breathe another day. Villin took a hand away from Reginald's throat, and Reginald made to flip the man over, but Villin punched him in the gut. Reginald groaned, and once again Villin's hands were around his throat. He'd lost his momentum in the fight. He flailed against Villin, but it was too late. He could already feel his strength leaving him. He remembered his first days in Elendel, his awe at the magnificent city. He remembered his mother, and his father, and his brother. He remembered the footsteps of his father approaching his room late at night when Reginald really should've been asleep but was instead reading a book.... Wait. Those were real footsteps. Reginald could breathe. He opened his eyes and couldn't see Villin. He sat up and saw that there was a hole in the man's head, and his eyes had lost the sweet glow of life and vitality they had once held. Reginald looked around to see who had saved him, but the footsteps faded. Reginald would live to see another day. Kidpen has been killed! They were a Loyalist Spinner Ferring! The_God_King has been killed! They were a PRE Operative Smoker/Connector Twinborn! Magestar was attacked, but they survived! PMs are open, but make sure to add Young Bard, Fifth Scholar, and myself to all PMs. Also, make sure to make new PMs with players rather than adding new players to PMs. There will be a lynch this turn. As a reminder, there is no vote minimum for the lynch, and a tie vote will result in one of the tied players being lynched randomly. The turn will end at 9 pm CDT on June 17th. The next turn will begin one hour later. Player List: PMs will be sent out as soon as possible. Also, I took some artistic liberty with the writeup this turn. Don't take it as a statement for what actually happened with the actions last night.
  8. The turn is now over! No more PMing, posting, or submitting actions!
  9. Lerin was nervous. There were very few people left now, and he was one of them. Some people already had alibis for why they couldn't be one of the loyalists, but Lerin really didn't have an alibi. He wasn't out there killing people, he was for the People's Republic through and through. But the others didn't know that. There were some arguments about who it could possibly be, and some accusations were thrown his way. "He's been hiding! Where even was he the other night? How come he doesn't talk much?" All valid, points, but Lerin just didn't want to talk to them, so he avoided them. That was a mistake. Eventually, the crowd grew tired of him giving short answers and answers that didn't tell them what they wanted to hear, so they grabbed Lerin and started beating him. They said they would stop once he told them he was a dirt loyalist, but everyone knew that wasn't true. So Lerin didn't answer. And they killed him for it. Walin has been lynched! They were a PRE Operative Smoker/Firesoul Twiborn! Walin (4): Ashbringer, Magestar, Mist, TJ Shade Mist (2): Kidpen, Lahilt PMs are still open! 10. Okay, the turn is now over! No more posting, PMing, or submitting actions.
  11. I did, but I died so early on in that game that it feels like I barely even got to play.
  12. In case anyone wants it, here's a vote count! Mist (2): Lahilt, Magestar Walin (1): TJ Shade Also, there's just under three hours left in this turn.
  13. Depends on what your timezone is. It starts on Saturday at 6 PM for me (CDT). Also, @Orlok Tsubodai I've decided I'm just going to play. I haven't played a game in so long and I'm dying to have a chance to be an elim again. I'll be signing up as Varen Darland, a noble from a backwater noble house who joined the ministry in order to make a name for himself.
  14. For now, I'm signing up as a pinch hitter, but we'll see how I feel before signups close. Depending on how things go with my game, I could probably handle playing this game too, but I'd like to get back into the hang of things for this week and see if I can have enough time for this.
  15. Elandera's breath caught in her throat as she sneaked through the twisting corridors of the compound. Her heart was hammering, but her soothing couldn't help with that. She'd have to hope that she had enough brass to overwhelm her attacker so she could get away again. She'd already used most of her vials the past two times he'd caught up to her, though that almost certainly wouldn't work as well this time around. She turned one more corner, getting ready to scan ahead for where she'd make her next turn before she realized that this corridor led to a dead end. Pulling out her last vial of brass from a hidden pocket in her skirt and a knife from her sleeve, she quickly turned around and prepared to face Kynedath. The man had been waiting for her in her room when she'd finally made it back to her room to prepare to sleep. She'd barely managed to escape their first encounter, and she'd be smart enough to down some of her brass after that because he'd caught up to her earlier and she'd been able to soothe him enough to catch him off guard. Finally, Kynedath walked around the corner, a murderous glare in his eyes. Elandera burned brass and began to soothe his desire to kill her, his need to keep moving forward, soothed everything but the constant fear of a man who had been trapped in a cage and had decided to kill his way out. For a moment, Elandera thought it would work as he froze in his steps. Then he reached out his hand and Elandera's knife was ripped from her hand. He ducked as the knife sailed past him, pulling out his own knife as he charged towards her and slit her throat. ~ Kynedath watched as the life faded from Elandera's eyes as he held her his mouth over her throat to prevent her from screaming out in her final moments. He'd woken someone up in his pursuit of her. He'd heard a door bang open as he had run past while chasing Elandera. The loyalists had underestimated Elandera, so only Kynedath had gone to remove her. Now, it might cost him his life. The hallways were eerily silent as Kynedath made his way back through them, picking up the nails he'd pulled from the walls during the chase to mark which turns he made. He moved silently, carefully placing each step so as to not alert others to his movements. Peeking his head around corners to make sure no one was down a hallway he was about to go down. Only a couple more turns, he thought to himself, then I'll be able to meet the others. For a moment, he considered whether he should just make a break for it. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. He decided against it, determining that caution would be the better course of action. He made his way around another corner. No one was there that he could see. Good. He started walking to the other end of the hallway to pick up the nail he'd left when it suddenly shot at him and tore through his arm. Cursing, he quickly ripped pulled open a door to a room and ran inside. He shut the door behind him and hoped his assassin hadn't seen which room he'd gone in. He quickly began to bandage up his wounded arm when he felt a sharp pain in his side. Before he could let out another breath, something tore across his throat and he fell to the ground to bleed out the last of his life. Elandera has been killed! They were a PRE Operative Soother/Trueself Twinborn! Kynedath has been killed! They were a Loyalist Lurcher/Subsumer Twinborn! 18. Wow, this game was so much fun. @A Joe in the Bush Thank you so much for running this game! It was an absolute blast, and I loved all the fun conversations we all had in the spec doc. @Furamirionind Sorry for killing you. I guess you got avenged since the other village bartender (can’t remember who that was now) took me out that same turn. I was really looking forward to killing more people.
  19. So, I'm currently spending the weekend with an important friend of mine, so I don't have much time to do an actual write-up for this turn or the next. I'll be editing some in once I get back home though! Elkanah has been killed! They were a PRE Operative Leecher Misting! Matrim's Dice has been killed! They were a PRE Operative Nicroburst/Sparker Twinborn! Jk, he's alright, enjoy the game!!) Player List
  20. Okay, the turn is over! No more posting, submitting actions, or PMing.
  21. Ah okay, TJ edited in their vote moving to Karnage, so I didn't see it. I'll be fixing that in the writeup.
