  1. @Amanuensis Wanna take your vote off of yourself? StrikerEZ. I am willing to go down with you over this. I don't think assuming that Archer intentionally made a bad argument (which I don't even find that bad, despite knowing he was an elim) makes sense, plus I don't buy a world where e!Aman just gives up like this immediately.
  2. Aman isn't a perfect player, on either team, just like no one is. I don't know about Archer, but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to making a case against v!Aman as e!me. There's also "derping out and forgetting/misremembering something that you did actually read." *points to self* I don't think there's a difference here. I also think you are over-exaggerating how "bad" Archer's argument was. What does this even mean?
  3. @Amanuensis You have anything to say about this? I don't like how this feels. I think a lot of their argument makes sense, but it all relies on an underlying assumption that Archer intentionally made a faulty argument, which I just can't get behind.
  4. I think you guys are giving way too much credence to Archer playing in the exactly optimal way for an elim and it seems like you guys have convinced yourself that Archer must have been intentionally trying to make a faulty argument when it really could have been an argument he was trying to push. I know from first hand experience (on either team) that I can make a post that feels really good and right and then get slammed for it by the thread. And @Orlok Tsubodai I am confused how you went through all of that analysis and decided that Aman is the better exe than me. I was expecting a vote for me at the end and was very surprised there wasn't one. As for my oddness this game, I already explained the bit where I messed up my reasoning for voting on Thaid. Later in that same post I said what it actually was. I have a very faulty memory and forgot that the ties killing everyone weren't implemented D1 for a moment, and literally remembered it later in the post. Current VC: StrikerEZ (3): Bort, TJ, Tani Amanuensis (3): Orlok Tsubodai, Kasimir, shadow1 Devotary of Spontaneity (2): Amanuensis, StrikerEZ Kasimir (1): The Baker,
  5. Oh I know when it ends, I’m just letting people know I won’t be around for awhile. And leaving a vote on Devo now ties it up. And gives people the choice which train to join rather than just everyone hopping on the bigger train.
  6. This is why you don’t make posts during class I guess. I literally said later in the post that I knew my vote would either kill Thaid or not save Archer, even in the event of a tie. Ugh
  7. Oh huh. I don't remember saying I trusted Archer. Didn't have time to. Going to tomorrow. D1 I was trying to bring it to a coin toss between Archer and Thaid, since the tie rule wasn't even in place yet. It was only D2 that I was trying to get another player to die alongside an elim. I expected to be behaving more suspiciously because I don't have as much time and I knew my responses were going to be less thought out and more on the cuff. And I'd be saying whatever just comes to the top of my head, which is usually what makes people suspect me in either alignment. So after a few posts, I decided to lean into it even more. I couldn't tell you exactly when it was. And I was being a bit optimistic when I expected to be able to catch elims off of it. And a bit conf-bias-y. I realized soon after I said this that it didn't make much sense and have basically dropped it since. But I do have another goal for it. You'd unvoted Thaid and switched to Archer and Archer had switched to Thaid just after Ash's VC. Archer vs. Devo was at 5-2 at that point and Thaid was at 3. I wanted my vote to matter but didn't want to kill Archer. And also wanted to try and go for a tie if I could. Devotary of Spontaneity (2): Kasimir, Amanuensis Kasimir (1): The Baker JNV (1): StrikerEZ StrikerEZ (1): Bort
  8. I was going off of Ash’s count. My Thaid vote was never intended to save Archer, it was intended to kill Thaid too. Assuming you’re talking about my last minute D1 vote that didn’t go through. Otherwise I might be mixing things up in my head. Also, JNV. I think one of him or Devo is evil, and would prefer a world where we can collapse both possibilities at the same time. He seemed like he was reaching for a reason to go for Devo in that post of his. The Kas and Aman votes on Devo feel more genuine to me. Mostly because I had similar reasons to them for suspecting Devo, but then JNV has kind of reaching reasons that Devo has pointed out don’t quite make sense. I doubt a Devo exe isn’t happening today at this point, but would prefer either a Devo/JNV exe or just a JNV exe. My least favorite scenario is a Devo only exe. Of course knowing my luck, this is gonna bite me in the butt if Devo flips elim.
  9. @Amanuensis Am I dumb or did you just claim the vig role? Also yes I would not be opposed to going out in a huge tie group.
  10. It's me, Tani, Baker, Araris, and formerly Illwei. I feel pretty good about all the rest of my empire, as I am operating under the assumption that each empire only has one elim. Hmm. Illwei did say in our doc she thought there was probably one elim in each doc. And it'd be funny if there were 3 clean docs and one that was just elims. Once asked Araris to explain the TJ-me connection he mentioned in our doc. Could have been e!Illwei asking v!Araris why he thought me and TJ were connected, to set up a way to either clear TJ by exing me or condemning me if TJ is exed and flips elim.
  11. I'm about to crash now. But I should be able to give more detailed thoughts on suspicions in the last 5 hours of D3, assuming I'm not shanked tonight.
  12. This is now the second game where Orlok has clutched an elim win with another one of his teammates after having some inactivity and returning in full force in the thread. Also I definitely clocked out of this game once I died. Once again this game happened right as I got incredibly swamped by real life stuff. But I did have fun talking when I was still alive! Thanks so much @Kasimir for running this!
  13. Okay look. I swear I hit submit before it hit 2:00 my time. But it lagged and took a couple seconds to post. The timestamp was exactly 2:00:01 smh
  14. It depends on the game. True randomization could give the elims the protect, vote manip, and an extra kill. So most GMs usually pre-determine what roles are on each team. I know I do at least when I GM games.
  15. If we can engineer a three way tie between you, me, and Devo, I wouldn’t even be opposed. I feel like that would take out at least one elim.
