My feelings about Sadeas roughly parallel my feelings about Dolores Umbridge. If you know what I mean.

I don't hate Sadeas that much. When I Adolin killed him, I wasn't happy, I was worried for Adolin, in my mind, I was saying: "What in Damnation did you just do?" I also respect Sadeas for his wits and how he mischieved Dalinar in both books.

  2. He is not a bad guy, but he is a little selfish, well, a lot, like, Kelsier-level selfish. I think this quote describes him perfectly:

    Quote

"And while I am your friend, please understand that our goals do not completely align. You must not trust yourself with me. If I have to watch this world crumble and burn to get what I need, I will do so. With tears, yes, but I would let it happen."

    Hoid to Dalinar

  3. I would love to be in Kae after the events of Elantris. It would be great to have Raoden ruling and everyone in peace. I would also like to be in Urithiru when Shallan discovers it. But I think where and when I would like to be the most, is when Shallan and Kaladin are in their cave, trying to survive the Highstorm. In that moment, I just wanted to hug both.

  4. You should listen to @Secrets and ma boi @Jedal with the cookies. They change you in all Three Realms so you cannot be affected by Ruin. Don't hear @bleeder, he, as the best of Ruin's agents, wants to disuade you by saying that it is spiked, it is a lie, it only has extra cinnamon, ask my friend @Ironeyes, he can tell you, he bakes the cookies.

This might be easier than first thought. I have thought about this as well, so I already have some basic ideas. For characters such as Mistborn, the main ones such as Kelsier and Vin did not have access to all sixteen metals, so we can ignore bendalloy, cadmium, nicrosil, and chromium for now. Next we would eliminate the less combat oriented powers such as Soothing/rioting, Coppercloud, Bronze, Aluminum, and Gold. Finally, you would have a list a powers/metals that could be used: Steel, iron, pewter, tin, electrum, atium, and duralumin. Tin and pewter may be simply assumed, but for now we'll leave it. From there you would just assign pushing and pulling to different buttons and then assign a couple attacks. These could then be mixed together in a series of combos. For the "special" metals such as electrum, atium, and duralumin, these could be activated with special combinations of moves and would wear off and need to recharge for a second use. Finally, in order to fully showcase each character's skills and abilities, you could have finishing moves that would consist something unique to the character.

Mistborn Spook had access to all 16 metals, so you would have to incorporate more special combos into the character. It's highly probable that you would leave out cadmium though, unless you wanted to have him use bendalloy and cadmium in conjunction.

I would love to have Szeth just jumping and rolling across the whole stage. That would be awesome.

Some Mistborn could use pewter to reduce damage or something like that. Atium could be a parry, Duralumin would increase the damage of your next ability, Electrum would make your next attacks unblockable and undodgeable, with Steel, characters could launch coins, with Iron, you could pull your enemy towards you. 2 Era characters like Wayne could make a Bendalloy bubble, kind of what The Flash did in Injustice.

A Cosmere game with a Dynasty Warriors style would be cool too. I had this idea like two years ago when I read TWoA, specifically the Siege of Luthadel chapters. This also happened with both of the two big battles at the end of each Stormlight book.

A Mistborn open world game would be fantastic. Just imagine, you could play through both eras and go back and forth between them. If you want to explore Luthadel, you go the the 1st Era, you want to explore The Elendel Basin, go to the 2nd Era. I imagine this in my head whenever Wax, Kelsier, Vin, or any other character capable of "flying" explored the city.

This WoB seems to be explicitly saying he only had one spike/one hemalurgic enhancement.

Ok, thanks. It's been a while since I read the Original Mistborn Triology, like, a long time.

Zane had a single spike and it enhanced his allomantic steel ability, allowing him to rotate while hovering and pushing only on a single boxing. He was mistborn independent of that.

Has it been confirmed that he only had one spike? I don't remember TWoA very well.

Exactly my point. An example of the last point being Straff Venture, a Tineye, fathering Zane, a Mistborn.

Remember Zane had a spike, probably more than one

I still think, even if eventually nothing comes of it, that Rashek's kid will play a role. Why else would someone divulge that information without it having meaning?

Hemalurgy is still a bit of a double edged sword. Use to many spikes and you fall to the influence of Harmony......or something worse. At the moment though only two ways exist for a person to become technically Mistborn, well three ways actually. First is Hemalurgy. We all know why thats not a great plan even if the power you receive is useful it won't be nearly as strong as the original holder making for a powerful, but by no means invincible, mistborn. Second is to use the bands. Obviously these have limits too and supposedly to refill them might take a couple hundred years of charging. Thirdly is a natural Mistborn which hasn't cropped back up yet but supposedly possible.

I don't think so. If Rashek's descendants were relevant to the story, Brandon would have said RAFO when he was asked if TLR had children.

  10. A couple of weeks ago, I saw a Mexican youtuber (I'm Mexican BTW) make this very cool game.

It basically consists of me saying a movie, then another person says an actor in that movie, then another player says a movie of the previously mentioned actor.

    Rules:

-You cannot say several movies of the same series. For example: Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter And the Goblet of Fire, Emma Watson, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

-You cannot repeat actors nor movies

-For you to say a movie, it needs to have at least one trailer

-You cannot say I am Legend

-You have to say the full name of the movie.

    Ok guys, I'll start:

The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers

Granted! Your bones and your flesh begin to shrink. Your clothes grow baggy and your feet grow hairy. You suddenly have a longing for second breakfast as well.

Your bane is that inevitably, everything you want or need is just slightly above your reach, so you're constantly needing a step stool.

I wish for the power to make people strike embarrassing poses without them knowing I did it to them.

Fine, but you will do the embarrassing pose too

I want a Boon without having a Bane

I know I'm a Sanderfan when I feel inadequate because I've only managed to convince two people to start reading Sanderson: my mom (just the Legion novellas and Reckoners so far, though she hasn't finished Calamity yet), and a nice lady who used to be my neighbor when I lived in Ohio (I got her to buy a copy of Steelheart like a year or more ago, but I don't know if she's even finished reading it).

    Rejoice, I haven't converted anyone <_<

You know you're a Sanderfan when you sleep at 3:00 AM because you were checking Coppermind

This would be a really cool idea, especially considering how many "who would win?" discussions this forum has seen.

Honestly, though, I love the concept! I'm wondering how the powers would be handled, though. Any Mistborn character would need, like, what? Sixteen buttons just to handle their powers? Or maybe just a few buttons for actions, with individual powers being implied as used?

I only thought about a few characters with the move sets. I thought it would be really cool if Wax could do something like shoot a bullet in the ground and then fly upwards to punch whoever is in the air. Or he could do something to temporarily dodge proyectiles with his Steel bubble. The Stick could tell you "I am a Stick" until you die. Vasher could throw you a piece of rope to tie you, or he could temporarily unsheathe Nightblood, which would make him lose health but would multiply the damage he does.

  14. So, I came up with this idea when I watched the Deadshot reveal for Injustice 2, which was pretty cool TBH, but now, moving on to the actual thing. So well, I watched Deadshot's move set with his guns and stuff, and thought: "It kind of resembles how Wax moves" and I thought about the idea of a Cosmere fighting game. I mean, that would be the coolest thing ever. I know this is not going to happen, but it would be awesome. You could have Dalinar VS. Hrathen, Kelsier VS. Marsh, Hoid VS. The Stick! The possiblilities would be endless! Let me know what you think about this random idea of mine, I would really appreciate it. Goodbye, ma frens! :)
