The Way of Kings = The Road Belonging to the Sultanate. Words of Radiance = Conversations About Noble Women Warbreaker = Bloodshed Wave
-
My theory is that listeners can't become Radiants, but that they CAN bond Honor-spren, in the same way they bond voidspren. The voidspren-bonded Parshendi are voidbringers: the honor-spren bonded Parshendi would be the Dawnsingers. At the same time, voidbinders would be those people that had a KR-like bond with a voidspren.

Most of what we know of Szeth's appearance is that he is bald, has large shin eyes, and is most famously known wearing flowy white robes. Agent 47 from the Hitman series is a bald assassin. In the Assassin's Creed series(especially it's first game), the main character(again, an assassin) goes around in flowy white robes(I thought of htis connection the moment I saw Altair... I'm new to stealth games). That's two of Szeth's defining characteristics. Anybody know of any assassins with large child-like eyes? And also... does Sanderson? And if so, was this intentional?

Hurt Allomancy, heal Feruchemy Allomancy - 3 HP Feruchemy - 3 HP Surgebinding - 6 HP
-
Yes, they do. Hoid uses Allomancy on Roshar, and mentions a side effect of being an Awakener. Also, he uses his Yolish lightweaving in Warbreaker. And... yes, most likely a radiant could. Certainly a normal person could do so... or even special people like Hoid. It is, however, possible that Allomancy and Surgebinding would mess with each other in such a way that it wouldn't work.

Kinda embarassed to ask, but what does RAFO mean?
Julio replied to Lord Bookwyrm's topic in Mistborn
@Lord Adonalsium, I don't see any reason for anyone to have downvoted you. I had the same question recently, but didn't want to ask it... I eventually found out, I don't remember how. But, that's an excellent question... I gave an upvote to counteract the downvote someone gave you. Welcome! -
What do you think the Nightwatcher looks like?
Julio replied to Ciridae's topic in Stormlight Archive
I always imagined her as a kind of black geyser. When someone goes to consult her, she "spouts out" of the ground, and stays there until she's done with them. Obviously, smooth and homogenous, unlike a real geyser. I never really imagined how she'd speak... -
Well... I'd prefer to not have much of anything changed. Oh, except one, really... make the "nameless" forsaken more unique, and make the women not all act like insufferable jerks all the time... Of course, we wouldn't be able to recognize that it was WoT if the women didn't cross their arms under their breasts every scene they're in... Oh, and, because it's a TV series... I'd make Noal/Jain Farstrider be Hoid. Or, at least, stick Hoid in randomly. All in all, I think they just need to keep it close to the original books... focus it on the politics and interpersonal interactions.

Epic Name: the Magus Primary Power: Summoning anything from a book that I know well and is in the near vicinity. Kind of like Green Lantern... but obviously limited to fictional things. Also not green. Also, he has to have some awareness of what he's summoned. He can't create thousands of soldiers and have them guard random places, though he could summon people to guard a room he's in. He could also not summon a highstorm and have it ravage the entire world. Though he could certainly have it ravage the city he's in.... Weakness: loneliness. If nobody within a certain distance(assuming there are people: loneliness doesn't affect me if nobody is around) cares about me at all, even negatively, my powers don't work. However, I also don't have a prime invincibility.... so I look forward to battling other Epics. Costume: Ornate robe, carries a book rather like the Grimorum Arcanorum from Gargoyles, which has extremely fine print of many of my favourite books. The ones that have cool things I'd want to use in them, anyway....

That is not the case, they can see metal. However, all metal seems to look the same, so he cannot tell the difference. Or, perhaps, they do look different but the "glare" from the the other metal was too much to see the difference. I'm not sure which it is, but I am nearly certain it is one of those two. They can definitely see metal, if they are at all like Kelsier. I believe it is safe to say they do, as Kelsier is a... Sliver? I think that's the right one. Anyway, wanted to clarify that.

Allomantic Pewter and Feruchemical Copper. Copper's just too cool, and who can say no to increased physical ability?

Hello, all. I've been sitting, watching, and occasionally posting. I've decided to come out from my corner! Boo! I've read everything by Sanderson I can get my hands on... that's everything Cosmere that's been published, as well as White Sand. Plus, of course, a few of the other things, like Reckoners. No need to warn me about the cookies... I've not decided whether to accept them or not, though. Anyway, hello! If you need anyone spiked, and they don't want your cookies, call me in. I'll challenge them to a duel. Make sure you pay me sufficiently afterwards.... Ach, I should be more careful about advertising my skills... Don't want to be caught by Inquisitors, Skybreakers, or whatever law enforcement you have around here.

If you were a twinborn, what would you like to be?
Julio replied to Lord Bookwyrm's topic in Mistborn
@Valette Renaitre, I was only pointing that out to him because he said "Pewter/Gold compounder." I know you didn't specify compounding... As such, I'd want to have Allomantic Pewter and Feruchemical Copper. Allomantic pewter is just so useful, without even doing anything particularly interesting with it. And Feruchemical Copper... I have so many ideas of how to use it, one being storing all of my memories of a book in it and re-reading a book as if it were my first time... Anyway, simply being able to store memories is fantastic. Honestly, I don't even care about the Pewter. I don't actually care for any of the Allomantic powers all that much, the Feruchemical ones seem much more interesting to me. Feruchemical Copper in particular is just SO cool.- 155 replies

Julio replied to Lord Bookwyrm's topic in Mistborn
Oh, @Bartimaeus, I really do like that idea. It's not as powerful as double Gold, but it doesn't have the side effects. Also, it wouldn't be compounding... but still, that is a lovely idea.- 155 replies

Y'all are boring. New challenger: The Dragon Reborn. The DRagon Reborn could have destroyed evil forever, and is just super OP.

The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. And then the murders begin. I know, I know, I changed the grammar of that sentence to make it fit...

So, I only recently read Mistborn: Secret History. I found it very interesting, but a major discrepancy came up. In the Cognitive Realm on Scadrial, Kelsier was able to walk around on the parts that should have been cognitive "ocean" as if it were land, whereas Shallan nearly drowned while in an equivalent place. Also, the "spren(for lack of a better term)" in Scadrian Shadesmar were semi-solid smoke versions of what they looked like in the physical realm, whereas on Roshar they manifest as spheres. Basically, why is the Cognitive Realm on Scadrial so different from the Cognitive Realm on Roshar?

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

You will constantly be thinking about creative ways to kill yourself. When you die, your bane will have been nullified... I wish to be able to wield both Saidin and Saidar. -
Full Edgedancer Reaction Thread [Edgedancer Spoilers]
Julio replied to Chaos's topic in Stormlight Archive
So, Lift said that she defined herself by getting food, right? So, Nightwatcher continued that; she needs food for stormlight, and always will, thus staying the same. Her curse may be the fact that she can't suck stormlight out of spheres... Also, someone on the first page mentioned Shallan having a shardblade for all of WoR... No, she's had it the whole time. It was first mentioned halfway through WoK.... Which I think puts paid to the idea of third oath=shardbearer. For lightweavers, anyway... Sorry for all the clumsy things here, I'm really new to this forum.... And really sorry if anything I've said has already been said, I didn't have time to read all five pages. -
Well, sort of... However, do remember that he asked whether he'd be a hero of the Horn, and Uther Paendrag(I think it was Uther... Someone correct me, please) assured him that he would be something unique, and not tied to the wheel... One problem with that... Rand didn't kill the dark one, remember? He just locked him up. And Hoid could totally be Thom... He just has to find a portal to the cognitive realm. Perhaps Moiraine Sedai would make one for him...
