I haven't heard that one before! I've been trying to slowly listen through his entire catalogue (Thank you Rhapsody), but some of those albums get very... noisy when listened the entire way through. There are some fun ones though like: Also, if I can find it there's this super sweet and sad one. ..oh, hey, look. They're from the same album. Maybe I should re-listen to it.

I can't spell, ever. My first response to Blackstar was "Okay, he's doing the weird again. Hey, this actually turns into a decent song about half way through." After listening to it a few more times it's really grown on me. Honestly, if you exclude the Laby soundtrack, this is my second favorite song of his. (Top is Thursday's Child.) It's odd how he has two different sounds: Old Bowie and New Bowie. (I usually split up my song ranking into those categories, but Thursday's Child is the one I keep on coming back to the most. I think this song will join that.)

OH MY GOSH ISN'T LAZARETH AMAZING!!!! And I found that Dollar Days reminded me of the Honky Dorey era, and (I think) 'Tis a Pity was very Diamond Dog. /me isn't a huge Bowie nerd. Nope.

Thus part of the considering doing the reset.

The first book I read was Elantris. For considering in the "well, Elantris sucks so of course something would bit it for favorite" theory my favorites are: 1: White Sand 2: Warbreaker 3: Elantris As for why, I'm a sucker for a good politics/romance book.

Typically we're only a few of months ahead of where everyone else is by way of the book we've read.

I think it's probably a good idea for at least one of the admins for the site to have mod powers. Also, why are me and rubix living in different locations? I get that you don't have an exact address for us, but that still seems silly.

It actually makes it worse. We can't talk to anyone except a small pool of people, have to wait even longer to get the resolution, and can't even hint at what we know. (Though, one on the plus side: It's fun to watch people react, since we know it's coming.)

I think just the text of the metaphor is good enough. Potentially the lead up words as well. (Like, I think the first was "I feel like a brick made of oatmeal.")

I am not going back and finding my first TWG post for a few different reasons. (Like that it was literally ten years ago. I found one that wasn't nearly that old and still nearly died of shame and embarrassment. I don't want to relive that time.) It's interesting to me to see exactually how much has changed and yet stayed the same. I would probably still use the asterisk for actions, but it's in personal conversations now, and not nearly as common. Aside from that, nothing really to say. (For context to the don't kill me, Eric had been working like crazy to get the site and forums formatted, and I was asking for a change either in the middle of it, or else when he thought we were finally done.)

If someone who is not lazy is willing to look it up, he actually posted on reddit a while back about the whole naming pattern and that he hasn't planned any of them.

To help make sure the system isn't overwhelmed, I'd advise posting them in a couple of chunks.
