  1. So, nobody has posted in a while, so I'm just going to do a little double post here because I have some things to say. I have suspicions. For reasons, I'm not going to share them. The village should still be able to win this game. Specifically, I've done a bunch of whittling down of who the Emond's fielder could be, and I have it narrowed down to only a few individuals. Hopefully, cross referencing that with information on knowledge of WoT should help (like, What was the very awesome action scene that took place in Crossroads of Twilight?). Also, while I just realized that I had no idea what was up with Cadmium Compounder, I'm honestly lead to believe that he's village right now. Other than that, I'm going to withhold most of my thoughts until the day, where I have an idea of who we should lynch next. Hopefully, by me being vague, the elims will start sweating in their little hidey holes.
  2. Sorry Doc I was wrong about you. That lynch was very much on me. I'll have to reconsider my suspicions, as I really was convinced he was an elim...
  3. Oh, could Mat shoot me a PM tonight? That would be nice. I might re-evaluate my suspicion of Mr. Doctor today, but I have to focus on completing my last two finals first. Once that's done, I am totally and completely free of any major responsibilities for a couple weeks!
  4. Oh yay I survived. Mr. Doctor. Also, seriously RIP HH. Getting hit twice by the same creature? That sucks. Also, Mr. Doctor, the problem is now my gut is telling me you are suspicious. Yes, and Snipexe was a hardy villager. If you are an elim, it would be smart for you to kill any hardy villagers that there are. So of course you would solidify the lynch, and of course you would pretend to not agree with it. If I may remind you, I ran LG46, I watched first hand as you single handedly fooled the entire village. So, I'm a little more willing to be suspicious of you for the little things, like yes, even "yet" which I may say you didn't apply to any other individual in that post. Granted, if you were an elim, then there would likely be more than one elim on that list, but I feel like it's a slip up. Possibly. Thing is, there's no proof for Randuir being elim, other than the weird Emond's field messages, which honestly are starting to get on my nerves. @randuir, how are you not involved in making these messages at all? Thing is, like Mr. Doctor, Randuir also doesn't have huge tells. Thing is... honestly, I don't know if this is Randuir's style. If it were someone who's more of a troll, like Alvron or Stink, I would be suspicious of them in a heartbeat. But Randuir tends to be a bit more straightforward, and his tells tend to be in his actions. The very same reasons I'm suspicious of Doctor- his actions. One can look as village as all heck in your posts, but honestly I find his vote on Snipexe and his interactions with Brightness to be contrived. Smartly contrived, but contrived. Also, it is somewhat nice to be cleared. Although, I doubt the elims will like it much. I'll probably end up dying tonight, so I guess I'll just do as much as I can before then. edit: reread the writeup, seems Randuir did have something to say! I'm... less convinced Randuir is an eliminator than I am of Mr. Doctor. Also, I'm not sure I like the tag "close to endgame."
  5. I'm nervous about Randuir because if we had a single villager in there, then we could have the Emond's field kill back, making it possible to kill them in a single turn rather than 2. And you really think Mr. Doctor might just straight up be Aginor? And is there any guarantee that Randuir might not be Aginor if he's an eliminator? Paranoia will eat us alive. I currently trust my suspicion of Mr. Doctor, although admittedly after finding several reasons to suspect him I mainly focused on his posts, in particular his interactions with BR, so I didn't pay as much attention to Randuir's posts. I might find time to do more analysis tomorrow focusing on him, and trying to parse what might be going on in the Emond's field doc, but I'm also taking 2 finals tomorrow so.
  6. There is one good thing, the creatures are random. The elims, or even the creatures could double tap a single person. But yeah I agree, it wasn't super great of Rand to kill the least threatening thing atm. Probably would be helpful if we had that Emonds Field kill as well. Because those creatures are going to continue to stack up, and currently it takes Rand 2 turns to kill one of them. I'm now a bit more nervous about Randuir, but I still think lynching Mr. Doctor is the best idea. The primary problem would be if it turns out that Mr. Doctor is Aginor, because they are hardy and a single lynch will not be effective against them. Moiraine is probably our best bet right now, because she could stop an elim releasing another creature, or Padan Fain's thing, or an elim kill.
  7. huh, perhaps. That would become increasingly obvious as more players die. Also, we are in a bad state tonight. We are liable to be attacked 3 times, between the 2 Creatures of Aginor and the elim kill. That's... not great.
  8. Yes, and yet clearly it happened. Sooooo, there's several scenarios I see as possible. 1. Someone has a daytime roleblock of secret origins. 2. Someone used an existing day-time ability on the Blight, and it did weird stuff. 3. Maybe the Blight was roleblocked by everyone putting in an action. That seems slightly less plausible to me, but it might be the case. Whatever happened, I'm a fan of it, and would like it to occur again. It could greatly extend our lifetime here.
  9. So that implies we failed, and yet we took no damage at all. Which would imply that somehow, the Blight was straight up prevented from attacking.
  10. uhhhh.... what? I just went through and read the rules and everything... but now I'm even more confused... why in the world is it attacking for 11? According to the rules, Desperate Attack should increase the damage by 2. And there's nothing in the rules indicating why that would be the case... so... a secret? Also, given that Drought has turned Village, I'm further suspicious of Mr. Doctor. So, my guess right now is that someone did something last night that had some sort of unexpected affect. Whoever you are, KEEP DOING IT. Or maybe everyone put in actions and so it got reduced? idk.
  11. So, thing is, I've read the entire series of WoT. It was a long and arduous journey, but I definitely wouldn't lie about something real like that in a document just to obscure my identity, I just wouldn't mention it at all.
  12. Ok, I promised analysis, and here it will be. I'll type this up as I look through the thread, so I can give my thoughts on posts and whatnot. Given that I haven't been really paying attention, I should also be able to give a pretty fresh look, untainted by current analysis (although I probably will take a close look at Drought, given that he seems to be the one we are lynching today). Look at that, the very first post was from Drought. Seems pretty hesitant, and while I could view that as suspicious, I could also totally see myself writing that as a villager so, NAI. Oh, and I just looked at the rules, turns out there aren't a ton more forsaken going to jump on us, which is a nice thing for me, given my panic about that the other day. Maybe I'm looking into things too hard, but in Mr. Doctors first analysis of Brightness, he says "nothing suspicious here yet." As if she's going to be suspicious in the future, versus how he discussed any of the other players in that post. It's not much, but it makes me slightly suspicious. Also, brightness says she assumes 5 elims... she could have been lying or telling the truth there, so I'm not sure how much information is to be extrapolated from that. Ok, more of this. Mr. Doctor throwing shade on Young Bard's suspicion of Brightness. This further reinforces my suspicion of him, but I'll continue to read and see what's up. And THEN mr. Doctor was the first one to vote on Snipexe for the second time... Idk, this is looking worse and worse Ok, Mr. Doctor wasn't around for IRL reasons during the Brightness lynch, but I am further suspicious of their response to her death. So, Mr. Doctor. While I doubt Mr. Doctor is going to get lynched today, I'm mainly just expressing my suspicions from a readthrough of the thread, I would advocate for a lynch especially if Drought turns village. If he turns elim, I'll probably back off a bit, but right now the little things about Mr. Doctor just, bother me.
  13. Ya know, Balefire? Wipes things from existence? Would be a useful ability to have. And that’s unfortunate that only Rand is our defense against the critters. If Rand dies, that could leave multiple villager murderers just sitting there picking us off.
  14. HALLELUJAH ITS OVER! I aced my american heritage final, and my date was a success. I do have more finals, but they shouldn't be such a drain on my activity, therefore the only potential issue I see in the future is a possible funeral, and that would be a one day thing. With that, I declare my return to activity! So, with that admission in the write up, that could be another eliminator we could take down. Also, um, there are a lot of critters stacking up? I know somebody has been attacking them (I think that's Rand, right? It's been at least a week since I looked at the rules), but is there ANY other way to kill them? Plus all those guys do damage to the rings (which, honestly, I still don't exactly know what's going on with that, or why we need to keep them running, even though I assume rings falling is bad). ANYWAY, I WILL do analysis this turn! Probably. I'm not doing much else tomorrow, and it should allow me to actually catch up on what's been said, because I've only really been reading the writeups. And I'll reread the rules to figure out what's going on with the rings and with these critters. Some balefire would be useful about now.
  15. I am so sorry for never voting, but today was a long day where I studied my brain to mush. I probably won't post again this turn, because I have an important final/date today, but I should be able to become more active starting next day. Hooray, we killed a Forsaken! I... honestly don't remember which forsaken that was. That's probably not a good thing, because the ones I do remember from the series were kind of nasty. Anyway, with one eliminator dead, this should make it much easier to contextualize other people's posting. But I'll probably not get around to analysis as I previously mentioned, but hopefully it'll give me something to do when I do get back to activity. Actually, a thought just struck me. This means Young Bard is probably cleared. Good stuff.
  16. Remember what I said about analysis? Well, yeah... I'm pretty much brain dead from hours upon hours of studying. Maybe this wasn't such a great idea...
  17. I’m on mobile right now, so I can’t really do analysis, but I would like to say: we are totally and completely screwed if we don’t start killing eliminators, like, next turn. I’ll try to do some analysis soon to help, but I’m also trying to study for my finals that start saturday and so it may not be the most helpful analysis, but I’ll try my best. Oh sweet, this turn is extended, so my analysis just became much more likely.
  18. Drought I know for a fact that you are just as old as me, don't go shaking your finger at me and talking about me being a youngin
  19. I would have said something earlier today, but I had no classes today and so slept WAAAAAYYY in. Ok, Young Bard has appeared again... and has voted on Brightness yet again. Not sure I'm going to vote on him though. I'm more feeling voting Rathmaskal, who kind of pointed me at Young Bard in the first place. I'll be around for the rest of the cycle, just tag me if I'm not responding to anything (I might be studying or something).
  20. Yeah I can come off that way, but please take into account my irl situation. I haven’t really had the time to make real suspicions or to be suspicious. I’m trying to be as active as I can be. I’m sure you can understand my conundrum given your own situation.
  21. I am here! I’m glad he wasn’t Rand, but still losing a villager isn’t great. I feel like I’m out of the loop on my suspicions, so for now I’m going to sit on my suspicion of Young Bard for the moment. I might have some time today to post an actual analysis, but I’m not entirely sure it’ll be a complete analysis of every player, but maybe analysis of posts that stick out to me.
  22. Nomnomnom that looks wonderful.
