Alright then, with no steel, and no consistent power set, Vin should be a lot easier to pin down once Zane is dead. She won't be able to consistently prove any ability.

Of course I'll be back... I'm just not sure what the community will be like in 2 years, ya know? And now that I'm on laptop, I'll fix the player list.

@Fifth Scholar Could you clarify about Vin? Does she receive one single power each cycle? The rules aren't clear whether she has 4 powers and is random between Tin 1 and 2, or whether she would only receive a single power.

You use me. As I said, I'll be focusing my efforts on finding the SK this game. I'll let others do the analysis attempting to figure out who the eliminators are. I've already started trying to figure out what I would do if I were an SK. Granted, I didn't play with a fellow serial killer last time, but I HAVE played with an SK partner before, if you remember LG45 (or whatever the Elantris one was). So I know how to do that too. Ironically now I'm playing the part of Seonid, my nemesis... well whatever. Right now, I have nothing to work with. If I were the SK, I would be making plans about who I think is suspicious. However, I won't have anything hard to work with until the first sk kill occurs. Because whoever the sk kills, they were suspicious of. Then, I group people based on whether they expressed suspicion on them at some point, and whether they did not. Then I work from there, identifying patterns and whatnot. Obviously, it won't be clear cut, because I would always make sure my kills would be on someone I didn't express suspicion on publically. Hopefully by narrowing this down, we can determine who zane is, and from there Vin is much easier to deal with. There's also the matter of what a serial killer claims as, Zane is likely to claim as a thug if not forced into a situation where he is publically forced to use a different power. Vin... well, I'm not sure. Vin will probably be the harder of the two to pin down in my opinion, but is just less threatening. I also say, figuring out who the eliminators are in thread isn't a bad thing. We still need to do analysis. We just need to be aware of the fact that the serial killers will appear village, except in their actions. So, action scanners, you need to be on high alert, and scan for things. Look for the metals that Zane could be using (which I usually used Copper and Steel each night during LG41, so if someone has no metals on usage, they could be suspicious). I'm not sure how the relationship between Zane and Vin could play out in thread, in how they interact with each other, but I'll be keeping my eyes out for any unusual information spreading. Although, granted, that pattern is usually also indicative of elims, since they have a document to share info in. And if anyone decides to vote on me because "oh Steel doesn't care about finding the eliminators," think about it for a minute, and then reconsider. I will be much happier hunting Zane and Vin than finding the eliminators. Oh, one last thing. The hazekiller, you need to be on your toes about who you help out. That's what allowed me to win in LG41, was the Hazekiller. I never would have pulled it off otherwise. I might even recommend working with a scanner or something to help you figure out who to give powers to. I think that should be all I have to say for now. Hemalurgic Headshot still hasn't checked in, so I'm going to keep my vote where it is.

Ah, sorry, I meant to do that when I was on laptop but then totally forgot to getting around to that. I’ll do that as soon as I get home from work. On that subject, I’m gonna need more players than I currently have. I’m not too worried yet, but please join if you have the time guys.

Zane attempted to burn a shred of atium he had gotten his hands on. If he could burn this, it would indicate he was a mistborn. Nothing happened. Zane cursed, although hoping this random body would be a mistborn had been a long shot indeed. Well, he would just have to make do. —————— so, it appears I’m not a mistborn today stupid RNG. Be warned Zane and Vin, you have a reputation to live up to, and I know how you think. I’ll still RP as crazy Zane though. Guess I’ll get the poke votes started with hemalurgic headshot . You were evil last time, and as I remember it, I waited entirely too long to kill you. Clearly there are no logical fallacies in rectifying that fact in the rerun. As I didn’t end up as a serial killer, my killer instincts have turned entirely to focusing on who they could actually be. So, that’s likely what most of my analysis will be- whether people could be the serial killer. Can’t let someone else upstage me, no matter how petty that might be.

Zane, in his new body, crept over to the meeting place where he had told Vin to meet him. She wouldn't be here yet, obviously. But he could leave a note detailing what had happened, in a spot where he knew she would look. There he described that he had switched bodies, and that she should be careful about who she killed. He also indicated that some odd elements were in the city, and that she should be on her toes. He also described what he looked like, so she wouldn't accidentally attack him, and gave a passcode he would give to indicate his identity. That done, he crept away. He had found some metals, and intended to attempt to burn small doses of each metal to determine whether he had any powers in this body. But he would have to do that in a safe spot, preferably a known coppercloud den, where he wouldn't be detected by rogue inquisitors or something. As he walked to one of the areas he knew had dens, he noticed something unusual on the ground. Glass daggers? Was it just fate? He picked them up, examining them. They must have been dropped by another mistborn in the city or something. Or even just a coinshot. Well, no matter. He picked them up and put them in his belt, feeling a bit more prepared to take on the city once again. He breathed in, and out. And then he cracked his knuckles. Let the games begin, one last time.

Well, someone has to get lynched day one, and it's usually kinda a wild guess. And, elim kills can often be motivated by fear. I'm just being realistic lol. Although... there is a distinct chance that this will be the last SE game I play. Not being killed day 1 would be nice.

I'm gonna make some predictions. A. I'm going to be lynched promptly day 1. B. If I survive, I'll be killed by the elims night 1. C. If I somehow survive all of that, well... if I'm not the SK, the SK will murder me to make a point. D. If I survive, well, clearly it's suspicious, and I'll be dead day 2. WHEEEEE.

Zane crept around in the alleyways of Luthadel, following his God's directions. "Where am I even going?" Stop asking questions. Just follow the directions and wait patiently. Zane eventually came upon a small closed off area, which was only led into by alleys. He waited there, as instructed. Burning tin, he heard the clear steps of another individual approaching. He didn't see much of the person, as they were underneath a cloak. But he did see two spikes in his hands. Were those duralumin? He began to react, but then he felt God's will to not move, so he did not. The individual moved swiftly then, with Zane unable to move, and stabbed themselves and Zane with spikes. Zane lost something in that moment. Who was he? Where was he? Then, awareness returned. But he was looking at his body from inside the cloaked one's body. He began to panic. What was this? Where were his powers? You are too recognizable. I need your skills, but not with that face. You now can move quietly, and my new servant will kill. But... his powers. They were gone! You can aquire new ones. Simply find some mistings, and I will grant you their powers. His panic was now in full swing. How would Vin know this was him? Would she even love him anymore? What would she think if the person now in his body, using his powers, didn't know who she was? What if she went back to Elend? Vin does my work. Be at peace. Elend will not survive, and you will be returned to your proper body at the end of this. Trembling, Zane explored his new body. Did he have any powers? He wasn't sure, whoever this was hadn't been carrying metals. He would need to find some to find out. Otherwise, he would apparently need to hunt some mistings like God had told him to. But, there were advantages to having an unknown face. They would not know him for who he was, now. He could work death from the shadows, unknown to any of the people of Luthadel. All thanks to Duralumin, a metal Vin had revealed to him so long ago. He looked over to where his body had been, and it was long gone. He ached for the loss of the lines of steel and iron, but God had promised him he would regain those at the end of this. And God did not lie. Panic averted, he began to whistle. It appeared this body was a decent singer, although from the voice tone it was a bass, not Zane's tenor. But that would do fine for now. He would take out his remaining anxieties on his victims. "Where to next, God?"

So I realized I didn't make it clear in the rules originally what happens when you roleblock a ship and they aren't destroyed. I clarified, those ships will return the following night, leading to a larger volume of krell ships to deal with. There is, however, a max number of ships, again based on the population of the village, above which further forces will not be added to the krell being dealt with until enough krell ships are destroyed to add more again. Hope that makes it more clear, as the light-lance is not a replacement for destroying krell ships.

I am aware of all the points you raise in regards to balance. PAFO on how exactly I plan on making it work. Please do note this game is not role madness, though, most players will be pilots or gunners. I will point out the value of being careful about killing eliminators, due to the power of their Guns and the fact that they are not counted when calculating the Krell. Killing all the eliminators could leave the village unable to cope with a powerful SK. But I’ve already said too much. Suffice it to say no side is going to be able to squash the others easily.

raises an eyebrow yeah, you know way too much buddy. Although I did tweak it a bit, can't have a secret knower running around.

Warning: It has been 6 months since Skyward came out, so I hope you have read it at this point (it's really good, you should read it regardless of whether I'm running a game on it). However, while the basic premise of the game is not a spoiler, particular mechanics are significant spoilers for the book. Read the rules and play the game at your own risk. The Krell were kind of sick of dealing with the humans on the face of Detritus. Certain factions wanted to back off entirely. Others just wanted to wipe out the humans on the surface and be done with the potential risk. But for now, they continued to match forces with the humans, keeping them busy, and hopefully keeping them from trying to escape and bring ruin upon the galaxy again. But the Defense Force was dealing with internal problems. Specifically, an entire cave of people had decided they didn't like how the Defense Force was run. Their children were thrown into combat to battle off the endless waves of Krell, that never seemed to stop. So the Defense force had ended up barricading off the rebellious cave. Unfortunately for them, certain members of the military were already sympathetic to the rebels, and had decided to take action against the military in order to effect change. And all the while, a cadet was busy fixing a mysterious ship, a girl who could end up becoming a threat to every human on the face of Detritus. The die were cast. And the fate of a remnant of humankind relied upon the actions of pilots in a final flight. And hopefully, that final flight would be the best one of them all. _____________ Welcome to MR35, Final Flight. There will be a 24h/24h rotation from day to night, totaling 48 hour cycles. The game will begin at 8:00PM EDT on 5/22/19, a week after LG55 has gotten off the ground. The simplified rules are in the spoiler below, the exact rules will largely depend on the number of people who sign up, and will be posted along with Day One. There are certain secrets in this game. Feel free to sign up with a call sign. As this is the final game that I will run, and might be the final thing I do in the SE community for 2 years depending on what happens, I'd like to thank you in advance for joining this game. That being said, as indicated in the rules, activity is very important. Not submitting ship requests will leave you with bad ships, and not submitting night actions will increase your probability of being court martialed, because by not submitting night actions you put the entire village and eliminators at risk of losing to a Lifebuster bomb (although there is a buffer, if a single player doesn't submit an action, everyone isn't going to lose. The Krell force should be manageable so long as at least half the village attacks Krell). Please keep that in mind. Player list: Quick Links:

Quick Fix Game 37: Black Shadows in T'Telir
Steeldancer replied to Young Bard's topic in Sanderson Elimination
that was an entirely selfish move. You said you had no breath. So I chose to kill Lum instead. Which, incidentally, was a risky move given that I went to bed way before Lum's lynch ever was actually not at risk of happening. -

Darn, I was really hoping my death would have propelled my team mates to victory. It really came down close at the end... this also means I can't procrastinate getting my skyward rules finalized anymore... welp. -
Zane landed outside of Luthadel, humming to himself. It had been a while since he had last graced this city with his skill with steel. “God, what do you want me to do?” “It is time to kill those in this city. You and Vin, my servants, you must free me.” Zane looked at Vin, who was staring quietly at Luthadels wall. “Are we going to kill Elend?” She asked quietly. “Eventually, yes. But right now? Probably not. His authority is thin now with you gone. He’s not as important to destroy as he once was. Our focus is going to be on killing those who seek to destabilize the city before we find what we’re looking for.” ”And what is that? Does it have to do with the thumping?” Asked Vin. ”I think so, but I’m not sure. I think I’ll worry about taking care of the destabilizers. You find out where that thumping is coming from. We can meet up at the Bronze Gate tonight.” With that, the couple that wielded death seperated. But fate had some twists and turns ahead of them. For Luthadel had acquired new secrets since last Zane had prowled the streets...

The Primacy of Perception: A Realmic Theory
Steeldancer replied to Confused's topic in Cosmere Discussion
SPIRITUAL REALM WHOOP WHOOP um. Je suis confused. I think there's a bit more stability in the spiritual realm, and that there are harder constructs to how things work. I don't think connection is so much perceived, as much as it just kind of is. You can't... actively change where you were born, for example. HOWEVER, your ideas are vaguely similar to what I understand of Microkinesis. But, at the same time, microkinesis doesn't work anymore after Adonalsium shattered, as far as we are aware. So, I don't think your ideas are true. I don't think any old person could just go BAM I imagine a giant pony and then a pony would be created. You need lots and lots of investiture available to you, at which point... your theory is kind of moot, because then you're a shard, and well, they can do lots of crap. If anything, you need a much larger mind and much larger amounts of investiture available to you in order to actively effect the spiritual realm in a conscious way. Plus, babies... aren't sentient. They aren't self aware. But they are definitely recording data there as they grow and stuff. There's lots of problems with saying only sentient minds make changes to what's in the spiritual realm. Plus all the talk of software is kind of gibberish. What kind of software is it? Apple? Windows? I do agree perception changes things. The boxes humans put surges into greatly effect how Surgebinding works. But that doesn't change gravity as a whole. Also, one last thing. I fundamentally disagree with your idea that Adonalsium's way of setting up the universe is "unknowable." Cuz... Brandon made this whole thing up. And I've made it my life mission to figure out what the heck is going on inside his head when he makes this up. So, conclusion. There are some valid points to what you are saying. But if individuals actually could just do whatever the heck they want... well that wouldn't make much sense in the cosmere. Brandon Sanderson is all about rules. Rules make the magic more interesting. Shards are more similar to what you are putting forward, but even they must follow certain rules, and they're shards of "God" itself! And, if I'm not wrong, Adonalsium also had to play by rules. So, perception can't be everything. Otherwise, why would adonalsium ever have allowed itself to be shattered? Why hasn't Hoid just figured everything out by now, just imagining it to be as he thinks it should be? There is no infinite flexibility in the cosmere. If there were, I wouldn't be able to decipher those rules to try and figure out what might happen in the future. Also, why are your theories just so dang hard to read? I consider myself a high level reader, and I squint my eyes a lot, trying to piece together what you're trying to say. I recommend more laymans terms. More upvotes that way -
