Either Cultivation or Preservation. I like to watch things grow and I don’t like change.

Guess That Cosmere Character! Forum Edition!

Sadeas -
or maybe dagger which kills them could work like hemalurgic spike and he is building a new type of soldiers. But still, I don't know why go to all this trouble when he already seems to have all the advantages possible.

but they are free now and returning in everstorm

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Yvainnie replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted but you have very poor sight and you need extra strong glasses. I wish for Kelsier to be my boyfriend. -
Okay if Oathpact doesn't bind Odium why does he go to all that troubles of killing Heralds?
-
First of I totally agree with @SzethIsBadAsHell he does have a plan and this all is probably part of it. Second of all, having the biggest number of powers does not equal being the most powerful. Take Dalinar's "I am unity" moment, or Vin draw upon mists. In that moment if they met Hoid would he defeat them or not? I don't think it is that easy. Besides maybe destroying Odium is not the best thing to do. Worlds with destroyed Shards don't look like they end up living in peace and quiet (Threnody).

exactly what I meant by that but said it much better

Thing is, Odium is trapped in Rosharan system. May be Desolations would also end much sooner. We don't know if he want to destroy Roshar, may be he just wants to be free and move on and Honor actually condemned Roshar to destruction by bounding Odium to its system. After all Honor doesn't always has to be right.

speculation Adonalsium and how he may have tricked the Shards
Yvainnie replied to Lunu’anaki's topic in Cosmere Discussion
but what if he also borrow this for Stormlight it could play a very important role after OB. -
Cosmere definitely Kelsier. I love him, I think he is charming, funny and crazy and also damaged same way I am (well not exactly Pits but close enough). He is like my "hope!, does it make any sense? Non-Cosmere would be Stephen Leeds, again I am feeling a certain closeness to someone who is not mentally okay and I am very interested in that whole "I am normal but my aspects are crazy! thing and also close behind is Spensa, she had some really cool moments but sometimes she reminds me Lift which is annoying. So that would be more love/hate relationship. non-Brandon would definitely be from Malazan.....Dancer because he is an assassin and actually kind-hearted and ANomader Rake because he also wears ruthless mask but has kind hearth and he is very just. what about you?

thank for clarifying and you are right, it makes kind of sence but I have feeling that Brandon has something much deeper in mind for this plot. It would be major event that literally shaped whole universe. But I kind of like if it would be something a bit ecological ..... -

He is borrowing specific locations more than whole worldbuilding then. So what was the reason? I didn't get it from this post: -
Yes Dune, Artemis,.........that reminds me Harry Potter when I was younger I totally dug it.

okay you are right but why would they feel betrayed and based on letter in Stormlight books do you think that Hoid would actually persuade someone to do that? what is his ultimate goal anyway? Are those chapters canon? -
Well, definitely Tolkien and basically anything he wrote. Erikson Malazan Book of Fallen. Rothfuss and his Kingkiller trilogy. The Egyptian from Waltari. And I adore Wiliam Shakespeare. I read everything and saw played whatever was possible. Especially Taming of Shrew is really fun and Hamlet was amazingly accurate about the description of mental state (or mantel illness). Also, I used to read a lot of books from Haruki Murakami. And The Art of Racing in the Rain was also beautiful book. What about you?

Yes, Vin and spren are same for me.....

Wasn't Hoid also there? he did not strike me as "devotee" type -
Well even if there are problems and structure is not perfect (though I did enjoy reading and did not notice any particulary big problems), the idea is very unique. And more so, the way all that color stuff work is very deep. I think there was ton of work behind all this.

I wonder if those 16 guys were his friends or enemies? -
Interestenig! Honestly, for longest time I read Kelsier as Kell-zee-uhr. I even asked Sanderson with this mistake. Also for some reason I always read Kaladin's name like Alladin with "K". Szeth will always be Set. And Jasnah is YASS-nah. Probably the weirdest. Ati and Leras. I always read Ah-Tee and Leah-russ. Also, Cosmere is Koh-smear. Maybe, this one is worst. God, it really sounds stupid when I write this down. Since Czech is my first language and English is second and French third (but I forgot tons of that) I always have wierd pronunciation of names. Okay now I will pretend that I never wrote those horrible mistakes I make while reading.

I love Well of Ascension but I totally get your point, awesome but not as other two books and it really did not flow as smoothly. And I hate Lift, really. She is so annoying. But Stormlight books are awesome but her chapters are not the one I like to read. -
Totally agree on Star Wars and Solo movie! And GoT! Even if it was sad, I was rooting for Dany and Jon but I knew it wasn't meant to be. And I love Warbreaker. I didn't know it was controversial.

me neither, I don't understand why anybody would be upset with it? And I got one. I hate Lift. But I love Stormlight books and I cried several times during Oathbringer (I am unity).
