Long Game 43: Under the Banner of Adonalsium

Each world doc has the list of players on that Shardworld, right? So if it didn't have any other name than your own then isn't it safe to assume nobody else but you was there? -

No, I'm pretty sure they also could've used Survival's investment thing to gain protection. I suppose what we can hope for now is Odium killing Pyro this turn, and they should die since their protection has been used up by surviving the lynch. -

How many of us suspected this would happen if we lynched Pyro? Basically all of us. Have we gotten any substantial information? I don't think we have. Pyro could still be Survival or literally anybody with an extra life. Would I have preferred even a Sand Lord lynch over this one? Probably. Anyway, @TheYoungPyromancer you didn't respond to any of my questions aimed at you last turn, so maybe do that whenever you can. -

Out of curiosity, @TheYoungPyromancer, why did you role claim you save yourself on D1 when you could've just easily survived the lynch if you really are Survival? Oh and @livinglegend despite your edit, it's still off You haven't updated the Straw votes. -

Why do you think the Straw lynch won't be successful? If pyro is survival the lynch may not even go through. If you and legend both vote straw then it's a successful lynch. Wait nvm I was going by legends vote tally but turns out it's way off -

There's those votes on Pyro, and you could always vote on somebody who hasn't been voted on but you feel is suspicious. Hopping on wagons isn't the only option. That would depend on what your alignment turns out to be TBH. Then we can get info out of things like who voted on you, who defended you, who subtlety defended you, etc. I agree with the second part of the sentence, but what made you change your mind? As in, what made you believe that Auto would likely be with an elim? Fair, I suppooose. So you didn't really think that Mage was Odium? Oh. That's still bad if Auto is with an elim. yay? XD See the thing is, my gut always tells me that Straw is a villager but my mind continues to point at reasons for why he probably isn't! Much internal conflict. :notlikethis: I...think I'll keep my vote on Straw for now. I'm going to sleep, but I will wake up early tomorrow (#priorities) and see if I should change my vote before the turn ends. Ninjad by Rand -

A scan action each does sound intriguing, and I will admit that I was one of the people who attempted to get one during Night 0 and failed. However, I still think it's better for us to lynch somebody today. Thing is, the information we will get from the lynch will be genuine and publicly known. Whereas these individual scans will be subject to redirects amd roleblocks and the former can lead to a lot of confusion. I understand that Autonomy gets a free vote with each aspect but...yeah I think we should decide on a lynch target for today, and maybe lynch this aspect later. If we lynch this one now we may just get another one to deal with afterwards. @Seonid Can Autonomy put another aspect on a world where it previously had one but got lynched? Anyway, I am going to place my vote on Straw. I did say I was a bit suspicious of him last cycle but not so much, however I think that this lynch makes sense. I also just find some of the things you said in a couple of your posts really odd. For instance, In this post he advises Auto to start placing aspects on Shardworlds: And in this one from last turn seems off as it's sort of weird because he suggested Auto to do so and is then going against it: Addionally, his votes are also odd. Like this one: I mean, Mage could've easily lied about what Shard he took investiture from and I don't see why that was enough of a reason for you to take your vote off if you truly did think Mage was Odium. -

Because we're discussing Pyromancer, I think it's worth noting that at one point during Day 1, they said this (to Fifth): The second quote is what they said when Fifth insisted that they say whatever they want to in-thread rather than in a PM. Don't know if it means anything, but it's something. @TheYoungPyromancer did you only say that you were on to Fifth to gain a PM with them? And what did you hope to accomplish by saying that you think they are Survival/Autonomy? And your second statement in the second quote seems odd since you yourself were quite alright with claiming Survival in-thread shortly after. Anyway, below are some of their posts that kinda lead me to believe that they may actually be Survival. And while I was gathering these, I noticed this post: @TheYoungPyromancerWhen is it okay for you to reveal it to the thread? And are you going to reveal it to anybody who PMs you? Do you have any gut reads? Edit: Sorry for mentioning you twice in one post, Pyro. Just realised. -

Elim!Stick would never express suspicion on somebody without a detailed explanation with quotes and everything about why everybody else should immediately think the same. #ExpectDumbRemarksFromVillageStickOnly I do not think that this is the best course of action to take right now. We should probably be focusing more on the lynch and lynch discussion. Is there anybody you're suspicious of? -

Aplogies for not posting this turn yet - school suddenly got really time demanding and I got a little busy. All should be fine now though. (I'm going to start responding to the posts as I read through the thread, so sorry if some of the things I say have already been addressed to) I'm kind of glad to see that I have to read through only three pages and not ten like last cycle. Why are you surprised? You yourself said that you suspect Odium to have fallen into the hands of a villager. Did you expect a villager to start vigilante killing right away? We probably shouldn't pass Ruin around, lest it gets handed to an elim by accident. And I also just realised that 3 elims per evil team is enough for them to target a Shard in containment and successfully get one, but putting Ruin back into containment does seem preferable over its Vessel overusing it and gaining their own win con, reducing the number of villagers. @Steeldancer you could always talk game stuff in form of RP. It's actually really fun, but also sorta challenging. Sart does it really well. I agree with this. But like. IKYK. I don't have PMs either. But honestly, I doubt many of us do. Somebody (Straw, I think?) suggested Ruin to blow Braize up, IIRC. If I were on either of the elim teams, I honestly wouldn't convert somebody like Fifth as I'd expect the other team to target them for conversion and I may end up wasting a night action. But it's IKYK. IKYKs everywhere. That could be the case, but it isn't that far-fetched an IKYK that the elims would not recruit him because he's such an obvious conversion. In fact, I'd say its far more likely that they converted someone that's been flying under the radar Basically. *is offended Although I actually agree with most of that list. I'm not so sure about Bard though. His earlier posts gave the indication that he may be a Vessel and elim!me certainly would've been sceptical about converting him. And I dont agree with my own name being there, of course. What about you though, Rand? You've been doing a lot of analysis and have generally been helpful but that is somehow making me really paranoid. I highly doubt that you are a convert but you may be...others (khriss/hoid). I'll have to look at your posts thoroughly before pointing fingers though. I mean, I don't see why he'd lie. But like I said before, if they were lying I doubt the real Survival would choose to counterclaim. I kinda believe Pyro's claim because his posts on Day 1 (the ones before he claimed) really seemed to suggest he had a Shard and well...*shrug A vote to some soon-ish. -
I had planned to go on another hiatus after LG43 but Ive been eyeing this one for a while and I suppose it won't hurt to sign up for one more game. Joining as Stick!

We may not have enough of us on Silverlight tonight to release Culty and ensure she end up with a villager though, I think. If Survival hadn't already been claimed by Pyro, I'd suspect HH of being Survival and already having been taken by the win condition, just because his position seems to be that of an outsider to the main factions. It has been mentioned before that him starting a discussion on a D1 lynch is a very safe thing to do, but I'd like to point out that he never actually took a position on whether we should lynch. he just presented the likely number involved, but as far as I could see never stated whether he felt like lynching someone was a good idea. I'm fairly certain this means something, I'm just not sure what it means. It's such a 'safe' thing to do that it almost seems like it's meant to intentionally stand out in its safeness. I'd expect an elim to at least participate in his own bit of discussion, but going that route is IKYK. I don't really know what to think of HH here. I doubt he'd do what he did if he was Khriss or Hoid, but that doesn't mean he's not some kind of non-village entity. Actually, whenever I'm an elim, I try to advocate a lynch without actually initiating it so that the death of the villager lynched doesn't get traced back to me. Besides, right now, I think the elims wouldn't have participated in the lynch (or even pushed for it) too much as there's already enough villagers to carry out a lynch that is likely to target one of our own. Which is part of why I didn't vote for him last turn. There wasn't enough reason and seemed a little unfair. Like what happened to Jondesu in L35 XD. This is what I tell myself every time I help lynch him, and then he flips village. >> However, as I said last turn, his vote patterns do seem odd to me, still. That, and if I understand it right, only a Vessel of Culty can make group PMs, right? That would also give them away. -

Many posts. Such overwhelm. Last time I was here we had 5 pages. Seeing as we've got like 35 minutes till rollover, I'm not going to read these 5 new pages all thoroughly, just a quick skim. So Pyromancer claims to have Survival...again. I would just like to say. one. thing. Called it! TBH if I were Survival, I'm not entirely sure I would even refute that claim. If anything, it would put me in a favourable position. However, I'm actually inclined to sorta believe their claim after skimming through the thread as there are a couple of their posts that suggest the same. Strongly. Current Vote Count: No Lynch (3): Arinian, Jondesu, TheYoungPyromancer Fifth Scholar (2): Fifth Scholar, Hemalurgic Headshot TheYoungPyromancer (2): Steeldancer, Straw Arinian (2): MonsterMetroid, Drake Hemalurgic Headshot (2): Elbereth, Livinglegend livinglegend (1): Megasif Sart (1): Droughtbringer Straw (1): Sart I would very much not like a no-lynch today, please. Unfortunately, me adding one vote to any of these lynch candidates isn't going to change a thing. But for what it's worth, Hemalurgic Headshot. Your response to Fifth's post did give me a village vibe initially but LivingLegend brings up a good point. Edit: Oh, and I was going to say this but forgot: Another player I'm getting increasingly suspcious of is Straw. Though I'm sceptical because this seems to be on par with Straw's regular playstyle. But I do not like how he keeps switching from one vote to the other with little or virtually no reason. -

Why're you assuming said 'Shard' doesn't include Odium? I think Bard is most likely to hold just that. Also, I've speculated on who may hold a Shard at least once before in this thread, and one or two of the other players have done so as well. I'm curious to know why you chose this one to point this out. Regardless, I think it's more plausible that Odium isn't already playing to its potentially SK win con just yet. On a slightly unrelated note, do we know whether the conversions take place before, or after a Shard gets released out of containment? -

@TheYoungPyromancer what lead you to think that Fifth was Autonomy/Survival? This reads kinda off to me. You say you doubt we should be lynching either of them then go ahead and place a vote on one of them yourself, almost as if you want at least of them lynched, even if it is for no substantial reason. Why do you think that? I personally doubt that village!Odium would go around killing people every night, as that would most likely mean killing villagers, who would also happen to be Odium's teammates, at the moment. @Fifth Scholar you've said somewhere in this thread (I'm too lazy to go searching for the post) that you suspect Steel of being Odium. Why do you think so? @Eternum *poke. Say something. whitetext. ha. you thought you'd found something important here? lol. run along, child. I'm genuinely having a hard time trying to build actual suspicions, but here's a few of my reads: Bard: quite unsure. Actually, I think you may hold a Shard, judging by this post. So I'm going to give you a 50% (100% being most scummy) Fifth: 35%. I do agree with some of the players who have pointed out how you seem to be focusing to much on Odium but your posts seem genuine, and I think you're a villager. Jondesu: overall, I'm leaning village here, but not strongly. 47% MonsterMetroid: getting a weird vibe, but can't put my finger on exactly why. And due to there being no real reason, I'm not voting on you. 55% Mage: seems pretty village to me despite what a fair number of players seem to think. 35% Pryomancer: Honestly, your tone and posts in general don't really seem much different than last time, and although you weren't technically elim last time, this does set off alarms in my head. 58% (?) -

See, if El was lying, then there wouldn't be another Khriss. That's one of the really odd things about this. There are super easy ways to prove either of them wrong. But it seems really bizarre that either of them would lie about this. It just doesn't seem to have a good end for anyone who lied. And besides, how would this effect this iteration of the game at all? Like, why does it matter? It matters because one of them is lying.:P And I'm curious to know who and why. -

Huh. Seems legit. Ish. All of this is really strange. Can the 'other' Khriss please come forward and claim so that we have more to work with here? Edit: Oh, and @Megasif, Seonid confirmed that Khriss and Hoid start without teams.
