  1. ok so i dun wanna back myself into a corner by limiting myself to only stick figures so imma talk normal also, but maybe not too much, we'll see
  2. Interesting - this is why you think PMs are an item thing? Will wait for Thaid's say on this. Also what did Mat say to you if anything at all? You keep dodging this question. Logically e!Devo makes sense, but I kind of got the same vibe...Devo's been evil so many times and I don't remember them getting frustrated like this ever so sigh idk Devo
  3. Nope, not a neutral Feel like TJ wouldnt have PAFO'd my random neutrals-related queries if I was xD
  4. I don't know xD I suppose we can't assume that out of all the claims we've got, some people didn't hide some aspects of their role? Realistically speaking, I never intended to reveal the fact that I would survive one attack until i actually did. Other shenanigans with Exp's role and Striker's role kinda messed things up but. Also the more I think about this flips issue the more I keep coming back to the implication of PMs and 'events'. I feel like we (or maybe neutrals?) have to trigger something, idk, just spitballing edit: some intel from archer would probably clear things up @Archer also never responded to my question last cycle like what was the purpose of saying stuff to Mat from here i thought you got a doc to speak with the dead?
  5. TJ just clarified to me that regardless of my role, I would’ve survived this attack I assumed the protection from my role had been used since he didn’t specify in the initial PM saying I’ve survived an attack So I guess I didn’t really need to reveal that particular aspect of my role… But I guess I can still survive another attack then xD
  6. I dont have an extra life no, but I am able to survive an attack maybe more? why couldnt this have been an elim kill though?
  7. Uhm. I’ll go out on a limb and say Kas/Aman v/v. Could be e/v or v/e but I’d bet against it, at least at this stage If they end up e/e I will simply kick someone
  8. Devotary: 1. RP with a pokevote on Ash, unremarkable except for “Either he was an Epic and should be taken out on principal” 2. Confirms that Epics are evil 3. Reiterates the same, though adds that they wouldn’t “claim to be when she's part of an organization whose whole purpose is killing Epics” - which honestly feels like an elim mindset. The problems with claiming aside, why would a villager be afraid to claim epic when they KNOW their alignment, which automatically discards the idea that all epics are elims? Also ponders possible elim team distros - making a note to look back on these if e!Devo. 4. Expects the elim team to have more roles than regulars - notably assumes Epic = role 5. More epics talk, says: which is an assumption in and of itself that, again, I find to be odd because it really does seem like a result of elim TMI. 6. Says that being able to talk to the dead can be useful for both elims and village, and comments on how v!Mat reacted to getting exe’d D1: Which implies that Mat’s adamant efforts to stay in the game last turn should theoretically point to e!Mat since it doesn’t line up with v!Mat if youre gonna use that meta logic, right? Except devo never voted for Mat regardless. Which is just odd behaviour, regardless of Mat’s alignment. 7. Starts the post off with And ends it with putting my exe in the lead, which is a progression that, honestly, idk. But what stands out more is: This sentence is…slippery. If v!Mat, this feels like an elim trying to phish for info without really directly doing so - if the claim ‘likely couldnt clear him’ then why would you want him to anyway? If Devo/Mat e/e, then I can easily see this as being an attempt to convince the thread to not hinge their votes on Mat claiming (subtely discouraging the idea of Mat roleclaiming) because ideally they would not want to give their role away if they didnt absolutely have to - cuz with a role like Mat’s being public knowledge, I feel like e!Mat wouldn’t be able to freely use it to give items to teammates without potentially exposing them. Doing ISOs is hard when you dont have a flip lmao too many possibilities my head do be hurting 8. Comments on Mat’s role, says it would be thematically village/neutral if elims are all epics. If e!Mat, then I see this as e!Devo. 9. Responds to my post, saying that their vote is mainly on me because I wasn’t too bothered about the tie and says “ which very much reads to me as elim because Devo assumed exactly this. 10. They belatedly acknowledge the above in this post and says that they arent sure if they want to vote on mat if his claim is true. Again, don’t see how that role means v!Mat. IMO it could be either. 11, 12. Back and forth with Kas re: How Archer’s role fits with Mat’s. NAI, I think. 13. Last post of C1, 6 minutes before rollover, says they’re gonna keep their vote on me, adds Contradicting post 10, which clearly implied Devo’s stance on Mat’s roleclaim to be otherwise. I wanted to get a response from Dannex but they seem to have ghosted us and that exe isnt looking to be going anywhere. So I'm comfortable with going ahead and adding my vote to Devo as well. Well first, I said 'if v!Mat', and also, I thought I'd come back to the dead doc, not C2, in which case my role would already be announced in the writeup and the if Mat was evil, he could easily use it to further the elim wincon anyway. If I didn't die, the elims NKing me would not only be bad play on their part (as I would keep me around for an easy misexe), but would also confirm e!Mat because the only way the elims NKing me would make sense with Mat alive is if e!Mat wanted to make an item out of my role. If v!Mat, the elims would never NK me because that would mean they give v!Mat the opportunity to make an item out of my role. Plus as the odds were when I left the thread, it was either Mat or Me, and if e!Mat got exe'd then I have no reason to worry about him making an item out of my role. Also thank to this post I am eleven mins late to class ciao
  9. honestly not worried about being NK'd - I feel like it's in the elims' best interests to keep me around for a ML
  10. All I'll say is I haven't used it yet and probably shouldn't until I'm absolutely sure of my convictions xD It's got the potential to go horribly wrong or very right.
  11. it's definitely an epic but i think it's a made up one cuz I've scoured the entire Reckoners Wiki and havent seen it being mentioned anywhere
  12. Araris: 1. RP, tells Thaid the purpose of a vote, joins Ash and Kas on voting Mat: This brings up Mat as the leading exe with 3 votes 2. Doesn’t appear to have noticed Ash’s vote, thought Mat had only two votes: This confusion seems genuine to me which is NAI, but the fact that he did not retract his vote stands out. 3. Brings up the possibility of a reverse psychology anti-bus D1 strat. NAI. 4. Responds to Exp’s vote on him with encouragement, gives three reasons why he should be exed: Don’t know what to make of this - it could be forced nonchalance, but it reads natural. Very slight village for this. 5, 6. Responds to Mat putting down TJ in his reads list “Yeah, not sure this makes me want to move my vote...”, responds to Kas asking about it saying that it looked insincere. Based on this interaction I think Mat/Araris not e/e 7. Comments on distros in blackout games: NAI. 8. Tells illwei that everyone deserves to die D1, unvotes Mat and votes Exp as retaliation because Exp’s vote on Araris is ‘pointless’ and because he wants more options for the exe: Note that at this stage, the VC was: ”Matrim's Dice (4): Araris Valerian, Ashbringer, Amanuensis, Thaidakar the Ghostblood _Stick_ (3): Illwei, Matrim's Dice, Tani Illwei (2): StrikerEZ, Archer Experience (2): Kasimir, _Stick_ Araris Valerian (1): Experience Ashbringer (1): Devotary of Spontaneity Archer (1): Karnatheon” So by switching his vote the way he did, Araris brought it to a three-way tie between myself, Mat, and Exp. Notably, he could have voted illwei to end up with a three-way tie as well but chose Exp, which tells me that Araris/illwei possibly e/e, but Exp/Araris maybe not. 9, 10, 11. Interaction with Thaid regarding the role of a GM: strongly suggests Araris/Thaid not e/e, though independently NAI on Araris’ part 12. Summarises his posts and thoughts: This one reads to me as pretty villager-like, since there’s zero hedging and it’s all very much succinct, to-the-point. 13. Clarification on rollover time: NAI 14. Unvotes Exp and switches back to Mat, doesn’t like the train on me, says “my gut has Stick village, which is probably right because odds”: The odds of what? At this point, the VC was: “_Stick_ (5): Illwei, Matrim's Dice, Tani, Striker, Devotary Matrim (3): Ashbringer, Amanuensis, Thaidakar the Ghostblood Experience (2): _Stick_, Araris Illwei (1): Archer Ash (1): Experience Archer (1): Karnatheon StrikerEZ(1): Kasimir ” So Araris’ switch brought it to a 5/4, bringing it closer to a tie. @Araris Valerian what are your thoughts on Experience now? At this point, I get the feeling again that Araris/Mat not e/e. This does not take into consideration Araris’ bussing tendencies - I have yet to first-hand experience one of those so idk. But in post 16 Araris unvotes Mat once again and switches to Karn (I feel like if an elim wanted to bus, they wouldnt beat around the bush so much i.e. all the voting and unvoting like I’d like to think it’d be a bit more organised), and comments, Which really does not read e/e to me, so my tentative conclusion is that Araris/Mat not e/e. 15. Clarifying what he meant by the mod voice comment to Kas: NAI 16. See post 14. D2: 1. Comments on lack of flip: NAI 2. Clarifying the allomancy terms usage: NAI 3. Votes Karn again because vote shenanigans, and this comment stands out “Also, @ Experience, if you are village (or even if you're elim, I suppose), you should probably put some thought in about the other players. Nothing wrong with voting/ISOing me, but you left your vote on me most of last cycle as well, so be wary of tunnel vision.” which I’m unsure what to make of but I keep finding myself rereading it xD All in all he reads to me a tentative village, but I'd like to revisit upon Mat's flip - it'd be nice if Kas is right and we get the flip results next cycle. And I do not want to think about conversions. xD Next is devo (or ash), though I probably will do this after a while because I should really not ignore my assignments any longer. Also I've mostly only skimmed the last three pages of this thread but just let it be known that this post set off all kinds of alarms in my head and made me do a double take xD. Dannex, you've made four posts and are wondering why people dont have a read on you lol? Sounds like an overly hyperaware Elim.
  13. WAIT NO I did not read 4 pages of signups and had no idea Drake had not only taken the meme stance already but also SIGNED UP headfirst with them. I shall now pick something else or I will die. hm Okay, in honour of myself, I will only communicate using Stick figures. To make it bearable for everyone else I will be using speech bubbles. I did drawings in LG74 and had a lot of fun with them.
  14. Okay I got sidetracked maybe four times but here. From the write-up: ?? @|TJ| was he supposed to predict who would die? Below are quotes from last cycle: Archer: Not really??? there’s been bunch of times when a village flip has given us enough info to incriminate others because there’s vote analysis etc. Striker: @StrikerEZ so were your votes/suspicions cast on me due to you reading me elim or you wanting me dead for neutral wincon reasons? Because if it’s the former, are you saying that you’re officially sided against them? If so, why did you claim? Im asking because you say it was because it’s in the best interests of the elims. Exp: This vote count provided last minute is wrong, which I immediately attributed to mean that exp/karn are not e/e because I feel like they’d keep a better track of record if a teammate was getting lynched. Though a more paranoid part of me is considering the possibility that exp rioted their vote to me, which would bring the votes up to 5 - accidentally mixed the VCs up in the heat of the moment and posted the wrong one maybe. Worth thinking about?? The whole last minute train that formed on Karn is interesting and kinda makes me lean village on Aman because he did the same thing to Jon in LGsomethingsomething as V!Aman. Even the reason he cited then was the same as now - aka he related it to the CFD he did at some championship game. I remember this VIVIDLY because that turn was super stressful for me as I was a poor elim tossed into the middle of it xD As for the rest of the Karn voters, I’ll have to evaluate. Will probably ISO Araris at some point this cycle, and as well as Devo and Ash. On to the present…we basically gained no info due to the lack of a flip, other than confirmation for Mat’s roleclaim and supporting evidence for at least some parts of Archer’s (i.e. the fact that alignments may not be revealed). I’ve already previously said that I can see Mat’s role being either a village or elim one, so my stance is that Mat was probably elim. Karn/Mat e/e is not impossible, given the vote manip that took off half the Karn votes and two Mat votes. Hm. What does a kill being blocked entail? Like, wouldn’t the write up show if someone survives the kill? also lol if there’s no elims/one elim maybe the birth of one will be what triggers PMs open i may be too tired/sleep deprived to compute but what the heck does this say. I’ve read it four times xD
  15. Y’all what- I just got home, I need a mo to read up on everything but it’s very late and I’m tired but at the same time I feel like I cannot go to bed without catching up first
  16. Not a bad idea. Although given how the rollover time for this game is inconvenient for the majority of the players, I think it’s likely that the elims have already made their moves. Let’s see though re: Dannex - I don’t think they’re e/e with Thaid, though if they are I’ll be super surprised/impressed with Thaid’s play Dannex could possibly be e/e with mat, but other than that slight indirect interaction you brought up, there’s not much to go off from probably my last post
