  1. Okay, let's try to salvage something information-wise from this cycle. @Straw, you've mentioned at the start of D2 that you had some suspicions, but I don't think you've ever elaborated on those. Would you care to share some of those with us? @Dalinar Kholin, could you maybe give your impressions of stick, crimsn and Asterion? @Amanuensis, you mentioned that you don't like the straw-wagon. Is there anyone else you wouldn't mind a massed band-wagon on? @asterion137. You said this D2: What made you think there was no more hope for you? Was it just that you decide your voting-activity seemed suspicious? I'm asking because I don't often see people of either alignment just decide that they are going to be lynched, and there's nothing to be done about it. @OrlokTsubodai, is there any chance you'd be willing to reveal when the deal you'd mentioned in D2 was made? @StrikerEZ, would you be willing to share your thoughts on a couple more people? @Drake Marshall, I haven't seen much in the way of game discussion from you yet. Would you be willing to share some reads too?
  2. Vote tally: STINK(6): Joe, crimsn, elenion, ecth, arraenae, little Wilson Straw(7): stick, Drake, Striker, Straw, flash, Dalinar, BR I'm going to try to create some lynch discussion in a bit so that this day-cycle isn't completely lost, but I won't make any promises.
  3. I'm not Aman, but I'd guess it might have to do with how quickly it got turned around, and how little arguments where given initially.
  4. Yep. That was a My little pony themed game, so obviously there would be no killing. She had a particular role that meant that the first kidnapping attempt against her would fail.
  5. So, apparently Amanuensis is a row of three Spoilers now?
  6. Hey, we won. and I was right about both Lopen and Cluny in the dead-doc. Speaking of which, can we get the links to the various docs, @Sart? Also, well done to @BrightnessRadiant for figuring both Lopen and Cluny out.
  7. @OrlokTsubodai, I might not have properly explained my point regarding complaints about someone's playstyle being a point of the moderators. What I meant to say is that complaints about someone's playstyle are something that I believe should be mostly dealt with out-of-game, through conversations with the player himself and the moderators if necessary. The rest of the discussion regarding what should and shouldn't be done regarding information leverage should be held out-of-game, I think. I'm not saying it shouldn't be held, because there seem to be some different views on it, both of which have valid points in my opinion, but I don't think a currently ongoing game is the best place for this discussion. If it is moved to another thread(not doing that myself, as I'm not sure where it should go), please tag me in it, as I do believe I've got one or two things to say about it. edit: Okay, let's talk about @Straw. There's a couple of things that are brought against him as reason for suspicion. The first thing that comes up is Yitzi's odd stealth-defense of him. I'll just note that this has occurred, but I won't expect Straw to explain this. Anyway, here's the first thing that straw has done himself that's been brought against him: he's made a lot of PM's, especially group PM's, and it has been suggested that this could be an elim ploy to look in on conversations by others. Little wilson has also mentioned that Straw himself doesn't respond too much in her PM with him. This last fact seems to clash with Straw's later explanation that he made them because he was bored. After all, if you make PM's because you are bored, it would be expected that you are quick to respond to any questions you are asked in these PM's. The second thing that made me a bit suspicious of him is this post from D1: He expresses annoyance that Flash jumped on the first bandwagon that he saw, rather than getting informed first, but he then seems to be trying to use this behavior to make him jump to another bandwagon. If Straw cared that much about people being fully informed before voting, maybe he should be giving someone a full run-down of what has occurred, rather than just saying that he should vote for Y because X. His quick reveal of Joe's PM made me initially lean more village on him, but I can now see how an elim would do so if he believed it would get the village to lynch Joe, thus getting that Neutral-alienation thing going. Another thing that I noted is that at the beginning of D2, he said he'd share his suspicions, but he hasn't gotten around to doing that yet. This is fairly NAI at the moment, but I'd like to hear about these suspicions he mentioned. Overall, I'm not especially suspicious of Straw now that I've properly looked over all his posts again, given that I think an elim wouldn't have joined the bandwagon on himself (especially since Stink is still an alternative by weight of votes). Overall read is Neutral/slightly elim. I can still see how Straw is a decent information lynch at this point, and will add my vote if it's needed to get him to surpass stink (STINK, btw).
  8. Well, it's mostly bandwagon at this point with very few reasons given, so it's hard to defend against that. Once I've had some sleep, I will try to build an actual case past "yitzi defended him and evil straw clears people", and switch my vote around.
  9. I would actually advice not role-claiming any more than has already been done. Better to let the 'Inevitable' play out, than making sure it happens. I'd actually prefer to take STINK out, in part for what Asterion mentioned above, but I'm down for pursuing an alternate target as well. If we do pursue an alternate target, the bandwagon on him should remind STINK that just because he's Neutral, he isn't above village retribution if his actions are perceived to be far too much in favor of the elims. Speaking of alternate targets, if we do go that way I'd suggest Straw (keeping my vote on STINK for now as a quick majority hammer wouldn't be too bad in my opinion). There's been some suspicious circumstances around him (the defense by Yitzi, for example), and if he proves elim, it might clear some other main suspicions (such as Asterion).
  10. There's no guarantee what you want will be in, and it probably won't be if it contains something game-related (IE: btw, this guy is an elim), but if there are some final words character-wise, they can usually be included. I'm trying to remember a recent game that included a player-made death write-up. I know LG30 contained a couple of pieces that where written by players, but those didn't relate to their own deaths, iirc.
  11. I'd be inclined to agree with your line of reasoning, if Steel had been the only other allomancer STINK knew about. However, we know that STINK knew of a tin-eye at the very least, and Asterion has claimed Seeker. Both these would have been just as valid for his win-condition as steeling the steel-vial, and would be far less disrupting to the village. To fill out the fourth requried metal, he could have contacted the elims and have tried to make some deal there, or could have tried the same with the village. Again, no need to go after the steel-vial.
  12. Given that he also seems to have a lot of information lying around and seems to be actively aiding the elims far more than expected, I'd say he's not harmless. However, you do make a good point that he can't actively steal from the coinshot again. Still, he might target other villagers as well, which might be just as harmful. I'm up for lynching someone else, but I'm also fine with hammering STINK here.
  13. Depending on what exactly you want to say, you can always ask the GM to include it in your death write-up.
  14. <sarcasm> So wait, when I suggest we lynch a known criminal (and one that has actually been convicted of a crime at that) it's all "No Rand, don't do that", "You're being suspicious Rand", "You're alienating the Neutrals Rand", "Rand are you an elim". But when Aman suggests to do so it's all "let's get this bandwagon rolling people!" </sarcasm> So first of all, I'm fine with lynching STINK for the reason that he's now clearly sabotaging the village past what is acceptable for someone staying merely Neutral. However, I do see some other reasons coming for lynching STINK that I don't agree with. Specifically, complaints about his play-style shouldn't be addressed in this way, I think. That's what the board moderators are for, if I'm not mistaken. I also don't think the 'blackmail' is something to be angry about out of game, unless he worded or approached it in a particularly unfriendly way, as leveraging information to your advantage is what this game is about. However, this is a completely valid reason to try to lynch him.
  15. I'm going to be away for the early part of this game (first 12 hours or so). Edit: @Amanuensis, did the coinshot fail to put in an order, or was Straw protected? Or is that need-to-know information?
  16. Yeah, it was part of the explanation you gave N1 for why you where considering breaking the D1 tie against me. However, I did feel it was worth noticing because an elim might have used comments like the ones you where making to encourage others to vote on Straw/STINK.
  17. Just finished going through @_Stick_'s posts (there's 53 of them, in case anyone was wondering). Let's start with the conclusion: despite doing some odd things, the amount of work that Stick seems to be putting in reading up on people and doing analysis makes me think of her as village. She also properly shot down the argument that lynching either Aman or me would give clarity about the other's alignment, which was in part being used to justify those two lynches, which also makes me lean village. She did give an adequate reasoning for her planned vote on me which would have broken the tie in Yitzi's favor as well. That having been said, I would like to point out Stick said this(them being STINK and straw): but she's also made at least three votes in which she cast some suspicion at either stick or straw during D1., though she never voted on either iirc. She's also stated twice that the elims were very likely to block a D1 lynch of an elim, because they can get away with it. lastly, she made this comment during N1: So, though I'm leaning village on Stick, I do wonder if she's got some kind of latent psychic powers, and will be keeping a eye on her.
  18. @Arraenae Let me quickly check. I believe it's this shade which should be 00cc00.
  19. How clear do you think it was, based on the D2 thread? And Aman explained that during the day, odd though his reasoning might be.
