  1. - "GUILTY!" The man stood in the cyclone created by Stormblessed. The giant form of the Unmade towered before him and the Initiates, yet he felt like he could take on the world. The man heard a small, soft voice which only he could hear. "Hello? Hello?" "Vis?" the man responded. He did not know where it came from, yet it sounded...right, somehow. "A name..." the voice said, "spren do not have names." "I was once nameless too," the man said, "but no longer. Now that I am free from this--" he took off his broken ring and threw it aside "--I am again my own man. I again have..." "A name..." the voice repeated. "You know, I used to have my own name, Vis. I used to be a person who I am no longer." "The name you used to have...the person you used to be... "There is power in a name. Identity in a name." "I...do not understand, Vis." "It is time for you to reclaim your power. Take up thyself, take up thy sword, take up thy name... "Ceol." Ceol reached into his weapon pouch and, seemingly instinctively, chose a single coin. He raised it over his head and it transformed, in a brilliant explosion of light, into a sword: a great claymore. He held it instinctively, testing its perfect weight. Years of training and memories of his former life rushed back to him. This was the weapon he had always known. This was the weapon his father had always used, the weapon his father had always trained him in. This was Ceol's weapon. At last, Ceol had returned.
  2. Warbreaker major: I'm really sorry about this one. WoR major
  3. Not exactly Broadway-sounding, but I want to see Kelsier singing Sole Survivor by Underworld...
  4. Relevant scenes to Fifth/PRIME from the writeup (read this first if you haven't already): “You…cannot…” Fifth’s voice came from the demon’s lips. He sounded in pain, as if he were strugging for control. Muscles convulsing, Fifth, or PRIME—Shallan could hardly tell which one was in control—stepped backwards, inching closer towards the ledge. Becoming suddenly still, PRIME looked up, revealing his hollow, grey eyes once more. When he spoke, his voice shook with rage. “Why you INSOLENT little…” The demon’s eyes snapped back to green and Fifth’s tremulous voice spoke again: “You…will……not……” “No! This cannot be! Kill her!” “Master……former…master…” “Kill her, my faithful servant! KILL HER!!!” “I…will not allow you to control me, to use me any longer!” “This…cannot……be!” “I am no longer your servant, PRIME. May justice be done!!!” He tore the cracked gem from his ring and crushed it in his hand. The demon let out a final, horrendous yell that echoed across the plains. Almost simultaneously, a crimson bolt of lightning shot down from the sky and landed a meter in front of him, shattering the rock with an earsplitting crack and throwing him off the ledge. He plummeted for a few long seconds before slamming into the ground by the gathering Initiates. One of the Initiates named Naihar walked over to him and bent down. With great effort, the fallen man lifted his head up and smiled at him. His eyes were bright green and glittering, and when he spoke, it was with Fifth’s voice, yet kinder and gentler, free of PRIME’s influence. “Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.” With trembling legs, he stood. “I will put the law above all else. I will hunt you down, PRIME, and you will face justice of the highest degree. For the crimes of murder, and, even worse, binding the souls of your ‘Nameless’ to your work of terror and destruction, I pronounce you-- “GUILTY!” Hopefully that makes a shred of sense. I'm a bit tired.
  5. And you're saying one role does all that? I find that statement somewhat hard to believe. I also find this statement a little on the dubious side: compared to this statement of Lopen's originally:
  6. Or, more likely, you're an eliminator and he was too. Didn't I recall him saying " I have one use of multiple types. Kill, vote manip, protect, redirect, extra life and roleblock. ... From: your friendly neighborhood Elantrian " I believe your explanation is nothing more than a cover-your-butt tactic.
  7. How do you propose he did that? A second spear of the survivor? If I read the books correctly, BoM spoiler:
  8. Well, I know that Lopen was lying about his role anyway, so... I find the latter possibility rather unlikely.
  9. Uh, he wouldn't be able to use it if he was inactive, so killing him is pointless. Look, if I'm a village minority, could you just get this over with so I don't have to deal with your faulty logic?
  10. Looked back over the thread and realized I forgot to vote Arinian Drake
  11. Yeah, I realized that and edited it accordingly. And personally I think Alvron is more likely an Elim over an inactive.
  12. Lopen was likely an eliminator. I received the Spear of the Survivor, which has an effect on people with non-Scadrian roles, and I used it on Lopen but to no effect. So, he was obviously lying about being an Elantrian. For the lynch, let me think for a bit.
  13. I'm legitimately signing up this time. I haven't been doing RP really in MR20 due to LG30, so because this is also a Scadrial game, I'll use Gibbs
  14. ...and you, my faithful Hunter, are here for that purpose. When all other means have failed, you are to eliminate them. - Using the immense velocity he had built up, Fifth launched himself into the air and landed between the Shardbearer and Petrik. The latter was sagging with exhaustion; clearly he'd used up most of his Stormlight. However, the effect Petrik had had on the battle was noticeable--the Shardbearer's faceplate was cracked and leaking light. Fifth half-smiled and raised his twin hook swords. The Voidbringer raised its own Blade and sang. Fifth could tell it was laughing at him. The creature swung its Shardblade almost casually. Fifth held up his swords to parry. The weapons connected. With a yell of surprise, the Voidbringer fell off balance, expecting its Blade to shear right through the swords but instead meeting resistance. It quickly recovered and fell into a proper combat stance. Fifth did the same. Finally, a fair fight. Their blades connected again. The combatants danced around the battleground, thrusting, slashing, parrying. Despite Fifth having one more sword than his opponent, neither gained the upper hand. The world around them faded to black as Fifth's focus turned exclusively to himself and his opponent. As the Voidbringer brought its sword down, Fifth spun to the side, using one sword to parry and keeping the other one open for attack. He thrust it forward but the Voidbringer dodged, paying him back with a slash from the Shardblade. Fifth hooked the end of it with his own sword and pulled it to attempt to throw his opponent off balance. The Voidbringer stumbled back and brought the Shardblade forward for a parry. This met one of Fifth's swords, but it left him open for another attack from the side. Fifth could have hit the creature's faceplate, likely shattering it. Instead, he curved his sword downward and sliced its already exposed forearm. Voidbringer blood splashed onto Fifth's cloak. The two combatants paused for a moment. The Shardbearer changed its song to one that sounded almost like a jeer. Foolish Alethi, Fifth could almost hear it say, even when the opportunity to kill is staring you in the face, you still can't pull it off. Fifth responded by running a finger across his blood-streaked cloak. He pulled back his sleeve and used the Voidbringer's blood to draw a little symbol on his skin. A circle surrounded by runes. He heard PRIME's voice: Mental Connections are the easiest to forge, and knowing the thoughts of another can be a powerful psychological tool and weapon. The more martial of you may brush aside the Mental powers, but do not underestimate their usefulness in combat situations as well. The place on Fifth's arm where he had drawn the symbol glowed with a faint light, increasing in intensity until its rays were almost blinding. Fifth's face changed for a split second, taking on an inhuman form. It was the form of the Voidbringer he was fighting. Fifth could see the its thoughts taking physical form. The creature swung its blade down, and Fifth brought up his hook sword to parry, predicting its exact movement. Knowing when the Shardbearer would be off-balance, he swung with his other sword, connecting with the flank of the its Shardplate with a crack. Its Shardblade swung once again, but Fifth could see it move before it came. He spun to the side leaving plenty of time to spare for his counterattack that batted the Voidbringer back and broke its armor in a couple more places. The enemy changed stances, but Fifth, knowing its exact movements, dealt a slash to the head, cracking the Plate there even further. The tide had turned. It wouldn't be long before-- Fifth was so focused on his personal battle with the Shardbearer that he failed to notice a slash from another Voidbringer until it had already hit him. The blow sent him crashing to the ground. The Shardbearer raised its Blade and sang louder than ever. In the face of this, Fifth half-smiled. "You really should pay attention to who is behind you..." - @randuir
  15. Fifth ran as fast as he could back to Rysharock, hoping that he could make it back up before anything happened to Shallan. With a surge of fear, he noticed that some of the Voidbringers at the base of the rock formation had begun to climb up. Toward Shallan. Fifth broke into a full-on sprint. He had to-- Suddenly he found himself sliding to a stop. He had veered too far to the right, and standing between him and the tower was the Shardbearer. 'd by Ranatar. I suppose you wouldn't mind if a third person joined the battle?
  16. What is the members2 group that McMatt100 and Oudeis belong to? I can't give them reputation either, and one of them completely lacks a profile picture.
  17. Welcome! The cookies are indeed delicious. You should try some!
  18. Lopen, your logic is full of holes. I've been scanning for them for quite some time as a potential ally. When they started using their action for evil intent, I figured they were actually an eliminator, so why not continue searching for him? This one... number one, how the storms do you know the required Honor count for being the Elsecaller, hmm? Joe had, I believe, 5 Honor in the first three cycles. And if this next statement is true: then Joe would likely have been able to get the Elsecaller, since it would have been bonded at the end of C3 like my truthwatcherspren. And might I also ask why you assumed that they were bonded the same cycle? We didn't see evidence of the Elsecaller until later on in the game, so unless I'm missing something, the only reason why you would have believed that the Elsecaller was surely bonded C3 would be if it was you who did the bonding. This one isn't faulty logic per se, more like strategy which I don't understand. If you knew that Elsecaller was bonded C3 (one of your earlier claims), why did you keep throwing Honor into it?
  19. As I told you before in our little 'history lesson', I have been searching for potential survivors of the desolation of my home planet... - Fifth was impatient. The sounds of battle filled his ears. Men were dying out there, men who needed him. He could save lives if he could only help. But instead he was stuck here, holding a pike to help Shallan climb Rysharock to save Kaladin. Kintas's battle caught his eye. Kintas fought bravely, felling one, two, three of them, and then he stooped down to help up an injured soldier. But halfway to the bridge, two Parshendi stepped out in front of them and grinned menacingly. They raised their swords in an expert stance, and one of them darted forward, his blade closing on Kintas' neck with no time for Kintas to either dodge or block it. Then the Voidbringer's sword disappeared in a puff of smoke and Kintas stabbed the defenseless demon. Then Kintas's sword disappeared as well, leaving him suddenly and completely weaponless. Fifth gasped. I have to go help him! But Shallan... She's a Shardbearer. She can fend for herself. Fifth released the pike, jamming it between two rocks where it hopefully wouldn't slip and allow Shallan to fall. Then, in a flash of light, he activated his hook swords again and jumped off Rysharock. "Sorry m'lady." he told Shallan, sliding down the rock face using the swords for friction. He hit the ground with the force of a falling boulder and began clearing a path straight to Kintas. Oops, I had this finished and forgot to hit submit. @Jondesu go ahead and RP what I do once I get to you
  20. Nonsense! These cookies are fantastic
  21. Up near the top of Rysharock. Kaladin didn't tunnel in at the base (remember in the vision he was hanging from the top of the formation), and it's large enough that she'll want some help climbing up. In actuality, that might be an interesting use of the pike
  22. @Jondesu It's not actually a lightning rod. I was holding it down to Shallan to help her climb, and I was just commenting on how it was ironic that I was holding a long metal pole in a lightning storm.
  23. The Fifth Nameless found himself in a highly unusual situation, standing atop a tall rock formation holding a long metal rod in what was about to be the greatest lightning storm the world had ever seen. Shallan didn't seem too happy about it either, and Fifth didn't think that was entirely because she had to climb the long metal rod. As Shallan began her climb, Fifth surveyed the scene below him. The battlefield was littered with bodies, soldier and Voidbringer alike, including many of the Initiates. Hithon was nowhere to be seen. Kintas danced among the Voidbringers. Petrik and Ranatar fought the Shardbearer, still outmatched despite their numerical advantage. And Fifth stood on a rock watching the whole scene unfold beneath him. - This is it. The time to take action has come. - As some of you might already know, I am the Truthwatcher. I've been scanning for the Elsecaller for quite some time, and I wonder what Lopen has to say for himself now that I've finally found him out.
