  1. Name: Crescent Thunder Type: Pegasus Cutie Mark: Cosmetic Role: Unnecessarily Vague Poet: Speaks only in poetic language. Is never clear on anything. May or may not have a dark and troubled past; it's hard to tell through all of the figurative language. I'm not familiar with the lore at all...what are the societal guidelines for relationships with ponies of other types?
  2. Wonderful game from a wonderful GM! Loved the Knights mechanic and especially the marriage mechanic. Special thanks to my sweet wife @BrightnessRadiant for being an amazing RP partner and for showing me that true love transcends alignment <3
  3. Jemma and I would like to inform you that writeup will be delayed an hour; Joe has to leave for some urgent Librarian things. Definitely nothing suspicious.
  4. Listen. Please. I'm sorry I have to leave you this way. I wish, dearly, that it could have ended any other way. I have tried my hardest to live. To live, for you. And I have lived, if only to see the day where you turn around, where it all turns around. Do you remember when we first met? Two innocent lovers in a library as death and chaos raged around us. It seemed as though everything was possible. Tell me, Jemma, was that so long ago? Neither of us can stand pure. But one of us will not forget. I will remember you. I will love you. ...forever... ... ... Here. You dropped this on that day. You drew it yourself. will you remember me?
  5. I might as well just drop my suspicions now: Orlok, Rand, and Lopen, maybe Yitzi too. -I've already shared my reasoning on Lopen. -Yitzi because of all this "it will be revealed next cycle" stuff. If he really was a trustworthy villager, he'd share anything helpful to us now. -Rand and Orlok because my single vote on Orlok C1 kept getting brought up the next few cycles as Rand has been tunneling on me, which I've found rather suspicious, especially with everyone saying vote for your suspicions, not with the group yet getting called under question because of this.
  6. I would also love to know Yitzi's source when he said this: I have never PMed him. It would be extremely informative if we were to learn the source and subject matter of this supposed PM. Seems a bit shady to me.
  7. @randuir I don't think you understand. Sure I wasn't suspicious of Mage really, but it was either 2 votes on Mage or 2 votes on me. I am 100% certain that I am village, so that was the clear natural move to make.
  8. Simple! Self-preservation. Lopen said he would vote on me if nobody joined him in voting on Mage, so I'd rather there be 2 votes on someone who could maybe be evil than 2 votes on me who I know is village.
  9. To be more clear, I have a couple of suspicions, mainly Lopen, because of the Magestar thing. That doesn't really require that much explanation, though I would like to call attention to this quote from last cycle: "Coupled with your vote on BB on C1 after multiple other players had stated suspicion of him, which could have been you trying to get ahead of a bandwagon(admittedly, one that I jumped on as well, but I know I'm village), I'm putting my vote on you." This reasoning is shaky at best, considering Lopen himself was the one who started the wagon from one other vote.
  10. So that's the story of how my beautiful wife Jemma and I got married. That being said, marriage isn't all fun and games. There are certain new issues I'm having to face: THE IN-LAWS. Specifically the one who's probably a serial murderer. (Lopen)
  11. "Would you like to get married?" My mouth hung wide open. Did she just... Were we really... And at that moment, sitting across from the most beautiful woman in the world, on a date to read books without any books, both of us blushing and giggling, I knew I was in love with Jemma. "Yes!" I exclaimed, and jumped up to wrap Jemma in a tight embrace. "Yes, I would love that! Now how about we go into town and get what we've forgotten." "The books?" "No, silly," I said, and then kissed her. "The rings."
  12. @BrightnessRadiant Your turn still! Tell you what, I'll join you in voting on Mage! Magestar On the issue of Lopen, here's the C1 post that seemed off to me: Says he was going to vote on Mage C1 but says Lopen responded so he wouldn't join the bandwagon Says voting is always good even D1 [I agree] Then proceeds to vote on BB, even though "I don't really have any questions to ask BB that haven't already been asked", which BB had responded to. Keep in mind that the reason he said he wouldn't vote for Mage is "he's responded". Also note that he just wanted to put his vote on top of someone else's instead of finding a new candidate. In the games I've played with Lopen recently, he doesn't usually do this.
  13. Do you mean no logic is better than poor logic? Here's the thing. I don't have any solid suspicions right now. I could vote on one of my suspicions with a little bit of logic, and I would be called illogical and maybe voted on. Or, I could vote on someone providing no logic at all, which you say I should do. This (in my opinion) is why people aren't voting. Anyone who votes without enough evidence to back them up makes themselves a target. You know what, at this point I'm convinced either Rand or Lopen is evil. I'll shoot.
  14. To be honest I'm at a bit of a loss for whom to vote on. My gut says Lopen is evil, but judging by people's responses the last time I voted on someone without perfect evidence, I'll refrain from voting on just a gut read for now.
  15. @Elbereth Because, in my opinion, Village Orlok wouldn't defend Bridge Boy (who was seemingly inevitably about to be lynched) without providing an alternate candidate. Eliminator Orlok, on the other hand, knew Bridge Boy's alignment and had something to gain (trust) by defending him. Wow. Last night was crazy and... well, let me just tell you from the beginning. --LAST NIGHT-- Where were we? Ah, yes, 321 Fitz-Simmons Lane. I pulled up alongside the curb and steeled myself for The Doorstep. Focus, I told myself, you got this. I looked down at Jemma's note and the little postscript at the bottom: See you soon <3 knock, knock, knock
  16. Sorry, guys, I haven't been participating as much to the lynch discussion. That's because I have much more important things to worry about... 321 Fitz-Simmons Ln, here I come!
  17. I have a confession to make. I've never actually asked anyone out before. Yet here I am, asking a girl I've barely met. In the words of the immortal proverb, 'Desperate times call for desperate measures.' "How about, um, I swing by your house at 7 and we go to the coffee shop and get ice cream and, um, read together?" Not exactly Cicero, but it will do. I'm surprised at my own forwardness, and Jemma is too. She giggles. It's the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.
  18. As a response to Randuir, 1) I looked at Joe's probabilities, and that was my conclusion based on the data; 2) As was already discussed, in my opinion it's a better manipulation tool for the eliminators than an alignment checking tool for the villagers. I personally believe that anyone who puts too much stock into figuring things out via Libriarianism is instantly suspicious. My vote is going on Cloudjumper, for 3 reasons. 1) I know I'm a Freeworlder, and for my own sake and the village's I would rather I not die; 2) He has been viewing this thread several times without posting; 3) I would like to get married before I die. I have to leave now, I'll finish this post as soon as I'm back.
  19. Ah! I was under the impression that it was a 1-cycle scan. If all the Librarians know all the other Librarians from the start, your point is a lot more valid. What I meant to say was If we find out someone is a Librarian, they're not any more likely to be a Hushlander than a Freeworlder. (Meaning, they're less likely to be a Hushlander and more likely to be a Freeworlder, like you said in the second sentence of your second paragraph.
  20. Which means it's vastly more important to know if someone is a non-Librarian than a Librarian. If we find out someone is a Librarian, they're not any more likely to be a Hushlander, but if we find out someone is a non-Librarian, it's extremely likely that they're a Freeworlder. Unfortunately, it's more imperative to find the bad guys, not the good guys. (Color for purely discussion posts)
  21. Despite her initial annoyance, I see the smallest hint of a smile on Jemma's lips. I smile back warmly, and she blushes, her lips again-- Focus, Aaron! Why are you looking at her lips? You're supposed to be trying to decide whom out of the 18 we should kill. Isn't that a depressing thought... It appears that there's one Bad At Math person who didn't place a vote last cycle. I think we'd better look through the players who were on [and likely posted at least once] but didn't vote. I noticed Cloudjumper on recently; I'm not sure if he was on around rollover or not, but I think he's a possible candidate for being Bad At Math. (Not that that says anything about alignment.) I'm fairly certain the extra vote on Orlok came from Bridge Boy, as there's no reason he wouldn't use his power in that way. That accounts for the vote addition and subtraction. As far as the Librarians roles, I think it's more informative to look at the likely/ideal player distribution of Librarians and non-Librarians. There are likely 4 Hushlanders, so with a 1 in 2 chance, we can expect 2 Hushlander Librarians. There are likely 16 Freeworlders, so with a 1 in 6 chance, we can expect 2.7 (round up to 3) Freeworlder Librarians. You read that right: there are likely more Freeworlder Librarians than Hushlander Librarians, so it's actually more probable that a given Librarian is a Freeworlder than a Hushlander. So in my opinion, it's best to just ignore the Librarian roles. As for who to kill... yes, who to kill... erm.... I blink, and Jemma is looking at me expectantly. Crap. I must have looked like such a fool drifting off into space like that. "No, I understand. If this is a bad time, I can come back later. Maybe 7 PM?" Smooth, Aaron, real smooth. You blank out for a few moments thinking about murder and now you ask someone that kind of question......
