  1. I did not ask IHAT to do anything. To be honest, it's kind of funny that the person I'm tunneling on is actually still V!reading me. I'm willing to switch my vote to KSOS . I mean, I think mippo is a strong candidate, but the village really needs unity. And at the end of the day all I have on mippo is the elim tineye theory and really nothing that they actually did. The thing thats making me trust stick right now is how she's really trying to investigate the honors ghost/mippo claims as well. I feel an elim wouldn't be that diligent.
  2. Honors ghost, I'm sorry if it felt that way, but I did not intend to blackmail you. I wasn't saying I'll unvote you if you vote with me, more that i was asking if you'd join me in a different vote, but I can understand how it came off as blackmail. I apologize, I don't want to pressure players like that. You know what. Screw it. I'm exposing the tineye. I'm halfway convinced they can't be trusted anyway. The first message they did, they said 4 players were village, 2 of which died that night and were confirmed village. Now if they were elim, they couldn't have predicted the coinshot kill, but still would know at least one of them was village. They claimed it was to get reactions from the four and see if any of them were working together. They told me they were the tineye night 1, and said they would use the phrase "be careful" on day 2. Then the next two days they just start accusing me. Be careful of Doc. Be wary of Doc. And yeah, I can understand suspicion for asking for a role. But they say they've told no one else but me. So I'm both the only person they trusted with their role but also the person they suspect most because of it. This plus some weird interactions with honors ghost where they claimed to IHAT honors ghost was Mistborn whole honors ghost denies it ? The reasoning that an elim might have a tineye role comes down to that they might have stolen it because if they come up for Lynch, they can claim tineye and hold PMs blackmail. That, and my thought that they could be using cleared villagers in the morning messages of their reads to disguise elims within that pool. The two people I've told are Alvron and Stick. Alv night 2, Stick night 3, but like an hour before rollover. So with all that. All my cards on the table. Mippo.
  3. Why Worldhopper? They really weren't that active. I don't know, man. I've been stumbling around clumsily this whole game. I know who the Tineye is. They confessed pretty early in the game. But then they got suspicious of me because I wanted to learn their role and have been blasting me in the past two messages. Alv has a theory that the Elims might have stolen Tineye to make us more reluctant to lynch them. If the Tineye is elim, we lose PMs. If they're village, we lose anyways. I've told two people who the Tineye is. Part of me just wants to vote on Dive because TwinStorm was one of my suspects. Alv? TUO? Please tell us what you're thinking ? I respect the striking from shadows to make ties thing but at this point we really need everyone discussing.
  4. Hey Dive! It's... not great (unless Twin was an elim then you're in a great spot ) So again, what happened in the day was basically that I parked on IHAT for a bit, but when IHAT said that Mippo claimed Honor's Ghost was a mistborn, thought that was interesting. IHAT told me that Mippo had been defending Honor's Ghost, and we wondered if that was a potential team, so I suggested voting on them to garner a reaction, and they agreed. Then after most of the cycle went by and there was no reaction - we were seeing what Mippo would do, but they didn't show up - I decided that vote wasn't going to do anything and looked on my list of people I would exe to see what happened, and settled on Jo. IHAT said they would exe either Jo or Worldhopper due to their activity patterns, and was willing to vote on Jo with me. I asked Honor's Ghost if they would join the vote, and they agreed as long as I took my vote off them. So that's what happened. I thought a possible team was Stick/Jo/IHAT because Stick and Jo were defending IHAT, but IHAT voted on Jo and Jo was a villager. Stick and IHAT are still giving each other strong village leans, so there might still be something there. Maybe a team of Mippo, Honor's Ghost, and maybe Worldhopper/Twinstorm? Honor's Ghost was very willing to vote for someone else as long as I took my vote off them, which could be elim behavior? I think IHAT and Honor's Ghost are not on the same team only because IHAT was willing to vote on Honor's Ghost right with me and didn't take their vote off them until I suggested Jo. I learned who the Tineye is. I've told Alv. And the fact that the Tineye is still alive could mean a couple things. There's an elim Tineye theory floating around that Exp and TJ were talking about, and Alv suggested as well after the Tineye gave a list of reads. That the Tineye is still alive means either Alv is village and can't do anything, or they're both elim together *shrug* i probably need to tell someone else in case the knowledge dies with me. I know some people have floated KSOS? And honestly they've really flown under the radar for me - not fully missing like Twinstorm/Worldhopper, but also not as prominent as IHAT/Stick. I'm willing to take a closer look at them in the morning.
  5. Damn. Sorry Jo. I just felt really unconfident in my IHAT and Honor's ghost vote. And they were both willing to switch their votes. Perhaps too easy? I keep coming back to IHAT because I don't know if I trust them but they've been very good at talking to me and working with me. Honor's Ghost just really wanted me to take my vote off her and was willing to switch to whoever. I'll try and analyze the implications of this later. For now, apologies.
  6. Sigh well that didn't do as much as I hoped. Honor's Ghost Yeah I've entered into a kind of strange truce with IHAT in that they're actually the most active player who's talking to me. I'm going to throw a vote on A Jo in the Bush. Sorry Jo, I'm between you and TUO right now for your 'just vibes' reasonings, and you're the more likely to respond before rollover. Right now. I'm trying to find connections, and there's a possible one in Stick/Jo/IHAT because Stick and Jo are defending IHAT, but if IHAT's willing to vote on Jo that falls apart. I thought there might be something in Mippo, Honor's Ghost, and maybe Worldhopper/Twinstorm because they haven't been active enough to say anything. of TUO and Alv, I trust Alv slightly more if only because they've been talking back to me in PMs.
  7. Eh. Fine. The only reason I'd try to fight this is because I know I'm village, but at this point it'll probably be more fun to hang out in the dead doc anyway I'm not sure what you want from me, I just admitted that I'm guilty of tunneling? I think at this point, to see if this generates any discussion, I'm going to put a vote on Honors Ghost IHAT Anyone have any objections?
  8. That is very fair, and a point against my accusation. I acknowledge that. While I'm just discussing things, I think one of the main reasons I voted for IHAT and also for TJ is just that as an elim, that's not really much you can post, right? You're actively trying to hinder solving the game and posting reads lists and analysis is hard because you're trying to fabricate something as opposed to giving your actual analysis. That's why I was less inclined to trust TJ and IHAT because I didn't see distro solving/speculation as inherently helpful and more something an elim might do to seem like they're contributing.
  9. Well I was referencing MR 74. I saw a big change in KSOS' playstyle, where previously they were pretty in the background and posted sparingly and were more vibe-based, to suddenly being very invested and engaged with the ruleset, coming up with multiple scenarios and 'wondering' what would happen if elims got some key powers. That led me to be extremely suspicious of them, and I turned out to be right in the end. I had a similar thought regarding Penguin in the last LG, where previously Penguin would make one-sentence posts and generally not give much analysis and suddenly changed their playstyle to actually giving analysis. It's not anything concrete, players do change and evolve over different games, and I try not to judge players based on past game performance, but it's part of why I thought IHAT's posts felt off to me. I do stand on my perception that their posts this game come off as having TMI (too much information) like when they accused Fura of lying or when they come up with possible scenarios for things. Syl pictures! This might be double posting but it'll merge my answers anyway, right? To me, TMI means that you have access to too much information. For example, elims automatically know who's villager and who's not. Another example is if you have a role and someone else claims that role. For example, if you're an elim rioter, you would know that Fura could not possibly be a rioter. Let's use my past game for example. In the last game, Hoid Slayer lied about the dead drop I sent him and Kas, reporting a different message. So I knew for sure Hoid Slayer was lying, but wanted to discredit Kas. So I used my information that I knew one of them was lying for sure to say "One of Hoid Slayer and Kas is lying", but Kas correctly pointed out that that was a big assumption that I only had because I knew for certain what the message was. So what I'm accusing you of is basically having the knowledge of who's elim and who's not, and knowing what roles have been stolen/negated, and using that to make posts that sound informative but doesn't actually contribute to a solve. Does that make sense?
  10. Come on Jo, everyone knows I fish in PMs regardless of if I'm village or elim, I am just extremely nosy Of the people still alive, 1. TUO - They've barely been online, and the votes they've made have all been made 'just to tie' which to me reads as opportunistic elim. E! read. 2. Ksauce - Someone brought up that KSOS was also posting similar to IHAT. There's also the fact that TJ voted for KSOS last cycle. I am willing to vote on them to see if TJ was right. 3. Broken - I'm sorry, but I think I'm back on the IHAT train. Of the tie last cycle, TJ and Exp were both villagers, but the vote was switched off IHAT. IHAT, you've been very helpful and talkative, and I appreciate that so much, but your reactions just come off as very TMI, especially when you were accusing Fura of lying. When I was last elim, I accused a villager of lying because I knew they were lying, thinking it would make them look worse if I exposed them in thread, but it backfired on me because my posts came off TMI. This gives the same vibe. 4. Worldhopper - Have really not been on. 7. jo - We should just exe Jo for the smoker idea I've been following his reasoning and I can see how it makes sense, but I am not trusting him any more than I have to. 8. Twinstorm - Haven't been on much. told me they were a little sick in PMs. I don't like how they voted just on vibes last cycle, but willing to let it pass for now. 9. Alv - Has been more active in PMs. I am tentatively trusting them a little more because I told them about a key role I discovered last night and so far said role is still alive. 10. Story - Honestly unsure. PMs feel right, like they're appropriately suspicious of me prodding? Will revisit this. 12. Honor - I want to give them some slack too (even though they're voting for me now lol) They voted with me on IHAT a few cycles ago, so I'm more inclined to like them and if IHAT flips elim I'll like them more. 13. Stick - For an old friend we really have not talked as much as we should have. Exp was fairly suspicious of Stick. I haven't gotten anything off her yet, but I'm reserving a read for now. So in summary, People I want dead asap: IHAT People I would happily kill to see how they flip: TUO, Jo, KSOS People I would be more reluctant to kill: Stick, Alv, People I'm giving an enormous amount of grace to: Story, Honor's Ghost, Worldhopper, Twinstorm As an aside, anyone want more Syl pictures? She's settling in great! EDIT: Changed Mippo to Honor's Ghost because I mixed them up in the summary section
  11. Sorry I haven't been posting. I've been keeping up with PMs, but I just got home less than an hour ago. I usually like ties... Exp (3): Stick (didn't like Exp's post analyzing the Tineye message), Mippo (vibes), IHAT (self pres, generate discussion) IHAT (3): KSauce (no initial reason, but then because thinking IHAT's too defensive), Honor's Ghost (acting innocent), Storm (vibes) TJ (3): Exp (distro duscussion irrelevant), Jo (gut), TUO (tie) I can admit I'm tunneling. I do feel IHAT's response to Fura in night 1 was a little villagery. then again. I also faked outrage when I was elim last game that someone MUST be lying. I'm not sure what to think of them. I don't like how Mippo, TUO and Twinstorm are just voting based off vibes/cursory readings. Jo at least promises analysis. TJ May Preservation guide us all. I posted early because I wanted to not vote close to rollover, but the reason I'm voting TJ instead of IHAT and Exp is that I genuinely don't know what to think of IHAT, because I had such a strong gut reaction, but they have taken actions and made posts that do read villager after. I wanted to take a step back for a moment and give them a chance. If they're elim, they're doing a fantastic job. Exp for the moment is a neutral read for me, so I went with my own gut. I think I am voting TJ because as I said before, trying to solve distro isn't necessarily alignment indicative, and I can see an argument that exp is making that trying to solve distro and get claims helps the elim find the power roles.
  12. Apologies, everyone, I haven't been as present as I should. I wish the vote manipulation could have told us something, but honestly I don't see analyzing that as very profitable. There have been many times when villagers move votes last minute or riot their own votes just on a whim, and it leads to both the person they're trying to save and themselves getting exed. Maybe an elim was trying to save Stick, maybe they were just trying to make us think they wanted to save Stick. Maybe an elim just really wanted Araris dead, but I didn't see him making any strong accusations. There haven't really been a lot of strong reads this game so far. A lot of the trains yesterday were people saying they were following trains or trying to tie. The main actual suspicions I saw came from Hoid Slayer who said both Fura and Araris were giving him elim vibes, but admitted they were thin. I expressed suspicions of IHAT based on tone, but Jo's analysis of the same posts makes him think they're more likely innocent. And now IHAT is on the warpath on Fura based on Fura's lying in PMs. Which, yeah, they do that. Something I want to point out is Honor's Ghost switching their vote without reasoning yesterday from TJ to Mippo. KSOS called them out on it and voted on them based on that, and that might be a thread I'm interested in on the next day. Still kind of like TJ, maybe KSOS. I'm holding Fura, Jo, Hoid and Exp at arms length. I'm wary of Stick, Alv, TUO. I am outright suspicious of IHAT. Giving Mippo some slack just because they're new, but I don't like that vote switch yesterday, and TOW hasn't really been active yet.
  13. I'm throwing my vote on Ookla the Broken. Sorry friend! The only real thing I have against you is vibes. The post where you speculated 'this is good ground for rioter/soother', and you going 'oh we could be going against 3 elim mistborn/thugs, this could be bad". Basically it's a lot of "oooh this could be bad for the village, which I am. hee hee", that is really throwing me off in a TMI or trying too hard to identify with the village kind of way. This vote might not get anywhere but this is the one solid read that's throwing me alarm bells. EDIT: Someone move off of Araris and make this a worthy tie
  14. Hi everyone! For everyone asking where I've been all day, first of all Drake insisted on starting the game at midnight when I was asleep, then I had a morning job, and after the job I had something very important. Meet the newest addition to my family, Syl! (picture attached) I will start making PMs soon. So looks like I arrived in time to see a tie building! Fun! First of all, there seems to be a mistake in the vote count. By my count, TJ has 4 - unless I'm mistaken, IHAT/Broken hasn't changed their vote from TJ TJ (4): Exp, IHAT/Broken, Vessel of Honor, Storm Stick (3): Araris, TUO, KSauce Fura (3): Hoid, Fura, Mippo/Story Araris (2): Jo, TJ I am so tempted to throw a vote on Araris because I also like chaos. Current thoughts on the tie candidates: TJ - Current reasoning - poke vote from Exp, IHAT just to continue a train, Honors Ghost to poke, Twin to 'tie'. I like TJ because of the analysis they threw together about the possible role combinations. Personally I had no time to even think about making an analysis post like that, so I respect that he's doing that. Yes, it can just as easily be reposting a discussion already had in the elim doc/ an analysis of rules just to seem like they're contributing, but I respect it nonetheless. Stick - Araris seems mostly a joke based on past game, TUO for chasing ties, KSOS "why not" God its been ages since I've played with Stick. Missed you Stick! Stick made a joke about being a team with TJ. not reading into that yet, but something to keep in mind. Gave Hoid a village lean? Fura - Reasoning - Hoid doesn't like their attack on TJ, Self vote, Story based on general attitude. Purely personal opinion is that I like Fura and I want them to stay alive a little longer - before the game started we had a joke going that since I outplayed them last game they'd go after me this game, so I'm not surprised by their vote on me. What is weird is the self-vote. It's an easy out if this does turn into a tie and they can just retract their own vote, which is the only actual strategy I can see playing out here? So far reasonings are super weak, the only real actual accusations is that Hoid's assertion that Fura's attack on TJ seem weak, and Fura's initial stab at TJ. ------------------------------------ Other Thoughts There does seem to be genuine confusion about how multiples of the same role work. I know Jo asked about this in signups but I wasn't paying super close attention, so I'm kind of inclined to lean village on TJ and Exp for now. Appreciate Araris reminding us that this game is 24/24 cycles. Hoid Slayer's doing analysis, which is fine. It's easy to v/read him so I'm not doing that yet Ookla the Story and KSOS are throwing out a vote I like IHAT's energy. Made a couple of observations like how the spread of votes then was ideal ground for soothing/rioting. Been pretty engaged. Unknown One and Alv are kind of lurking, though Unknown has actually made a vote, it was purely to tie. Be back in a bit! I have dinner, then I'll PM.
  15. Oh rust I assumed it was the usual 48 hours, not 24 and 24. Currently still at work and will be busy tonight (I will be acquiring my very first cat) but I promise to be back and try to squeeze in a vote before rollover. I'll also do my usual PM every player once I actually have time, which might not be until middle of night 1. (feel absolutely free to PM me first!) Anyways. Hi everyone. Hoid was there actually anything you wanted from me besides showing up? Drake I am also interested in TJ's question on whether we can know for sure if any roles were stolen. Not really that invested in the Derp clear debate. Am sort of interested in Stick tying themselves to TJ so early. That's all I have for now, I'll be back sometime before rollover I promise !
  16. Younger generation I feel like mass PMs aren't all that unusual especially when I played in the past. I suppose we'll find out in a year (or whenever it rolls around to me) so I've got lots of time to plan
  17. Taking the leap and signing up for and MR, whenever it comes around
  18. Ha. I was literally trying to recruit you the day Fura killed you , speaking of which, : D D : I had a ton of fun this game, even if I got a little exhausted at the end! I loved being the Spymaster, spending my days PMing people and having such a lovely time, and then coordinating actions in the dark! I hope even though I was evil people still enjoyed our conversations . Some big wins for me and big silly moments! For wins, my instincts were pretty on point, with me sniping CD day 2/3, and finding Dive, even though Fura got them before me For blunders, obviously we shot STINK day 1, and day 3 I sent out the dead drop with the three names purely to troll, at that time thinking they were probably all villagers, which put Dive on Fura's radar. But hey, someone else also shot STINK day 1, and Hoid's antics also helped Fura suspect Hoid, so hey! Also personally found it very funny that Worldhopper chose Twinstorm to be his successor, only to end up tied in a vote, and then realize that Twinstorm was a rebel and had to face them in an epic duel. That's drama, man. 'twas a fun team to be with. @TwinStorm respect the Tatooine and Kamino hint that led me to you, and of course for winning the duel. @Hoid Slayer loved how you made an entrance on day 3 lying your ass off about the dead drop I sent you. @Divergent respect the dead drop. Kas talking about how your drop was much more sophisticated than the others made me start looking for someone that's experienced in other mafia games and when I noted you talking about 'slots' and 'omgus' I realized that was you. Sorry I couldnt' save you. @STINK you were gonna turn on us, so I'm not sorry (I am a little sorry) @Kasimir, had a blast. Thanks for explaining some wrestling to me and advocating for the duel. @Furamirionind, if there was a nemesis in this game, you would be mine. Respect. Also love how our PMs went on forever and we kept extending the dead doc. @Booknewt, as others have said, you did amazing on your second game, and you switching your vote on the last day gave the village a last gasp xD. @Aeternum, as always, respect how you come in on the last day and still cobble together a pretty good analysis that had all the elims in your suspect pool. @ThatOneWorldhopper Guess you got me in the end! @IHadAThought, @Argenti, hope you return for future games! Both of you did focus on me and Twin as elims, so your instincts were on point! @CoderDrag0n8, @KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren, @The Unknown Misting (stop changing your name it's really hard to keep track) and @Experience apologies for the early deaths, though I can only claim responsibility for CD EDIT: Damn I can't believe I forgot @DrakeMarshall. This was a really fun game with really fun mechanics, and the duel was a very fun way to cap it off! Really enjoyed it, thanks for running it!
  19. So it comes down to this. The Spymaster rubs his temples. Weeks of honeyed words in the light and desperate whispers in the dark. A duel, out in the open. He wasn't a good person. None of them were. The budding resistance was a group of liars, killers, and traitors. And he'd gotten some of his own men killed in the dark. That was the price, wasn't it ? Stabbing blindly in the night for a sunrise he wasn't delusional enough to believe he'd even see. It doesn't matter if they all fell. It doesn't. They had done good work. Crippled the ISB heavily. Killed two supervisors, cast doubt and confusion, undoubtedly diverting ISB attention from the hundred tiny insurrections going on every day in their sectors. His team had done good work, even if all of them fell today. And still, to have come to this... It felt bitter. It felt almost felt like they had already lost, even if Kuplack won. This was too exposed, too bright, this wasn't how matters were supposed to be settled. He'd expected a blaze of glory or slow attrition, not a karking duel. Lightsabers. He would laugh if he wasn't so tired. The bright, blazing symbols of the Jedi. They didn't deserve karking lightsabers, the formal dance of a duel. What this occasion deserved was the hard, desperate grapple in the mud, each scrabbling for a vibroknife or a blaster in the dark. Lightsabers . Still. This life was all about grabbing whatever you had at your disposal and throwing yourself into the gears of The Empire in the desperate hope that perhaps you, or the person after you, would be the one to bring those tears to a grind. Whatever was necessary. Whatever tools were available. He nods steadily to Kuplack. For the Rebellion. He sat back. He was so tired. First, some caf. Then, after the duel, there's a vibroknife in his pocket whispering his name if Kuplack lost. Perhaps even if he won. For the Rebellion that will never know our names. For the Rebellion spread across the stars. For the Rebellion against everything that would reduce men like us to this. For the Rebellion. . . . For the Rebellion.
  20. Ugh okay. Let's see what we have here. Last night was interesting. I was willing to exe IHAT, Argenti, Worldhopper, or Hoid Slayer. I started off on IHAT, but the vote wasn't going anywhere so I joined Fura on Argenti. I think what happened then was that IHAT and Argenti immediately swiveled to Twinstorm, and it was both IHAT's general defensiveness and the sudden unity that made us uneasy. Fura suggested that we switch back to IHAT, and was sure that Booknewt would join in the vote. I went to bed around the time Booknewt showed up voting Fura, but I guess she did join us in the end. And we were wrong. Yay. Twinstorm Voted KSOS, TUH, Argenti, Argenti. Interestingly, Twinstorm doesn't really have a reason to be voting Argenti other than stating self-preservation on the last 2 cycles, but he does have a point that Argenti just seemed set on going after Twinstorm. Twinstorm said last cycle the elims were (IHAT, Argenti, Slayer), but also didn't really say where he got that reasoning. Posted reads this cycle, but are mostly vibes based - the section on me and Newt seems very half-assed. I wanted to like Twinstorm, since he's been more active and chatty in PMs, but yeah at this point he and Argenti, even more than Hoid Slayer, are 'here' but not saying much. Argenti Threw a vote on Twinstorm on day 2 and has been trying to get Twinstorm exed ever since. The first few cycles were just 'vibes' and 'active but not saying much' which are things that also apply to Argenti. IHAT was village, but I don't know if that really changes much about Argenti's behavior. They seem earnest (like they said about me lol) and I am intere Worldhopper Day 1, voted STINK alongside me and KSOS. Day 2, votes TUH. missing most of day 3. Day 4, votes Kas, then Hoid Slayer. I feel like I have no read on Worldhopper, really, other than being slightly off. We've PM'd, but for only very brief exchanges with no real exchange of information. The most information I have is that they wanted to flip IHAT and Hoid Slayer. Minimal interactions with everyone else other than brief flirtations with e!kas or e!fura. Hoid Slayer Missing most of day 1 and 2, came back in 3 with a bang, then kind of petered off again. Has mostly been riffing. Also I feel for that last post. My activity has also been pretty lacking between working in the mornings and being too tired to stay up for rollover. I do think you should vote, though. Booknewt didn't vote day 1, TUH day 2, Dive day 3, IHAT day 4. So I want to like Booknewt. On day 3, she was one of the people that exed Divergent. And she made a post with actual reasons why she voted Divergent too. But a part of me is now wondering how much of the 'reasoning' was made up after she had decided to vote as Fura asked. On day 4, she does go after Fura briefly, but then switches back to the same target Fura picked. Which puts me in the mind of an elim following a vocal villager's lead to gain cred. Claims that she was thinking on switching back to Twinstorm. Ace/Aet Hi Aet! As always, valiant effort to catch up and post your own analysis. is currently going after Hoid Slayer. Kas Obviously a deepwolf it's the only explanation/s I've been staring at this wall of text for too long. I wanted to vote for Hoid, but his frustration does seem genuine and juggling SE and school/work is a lot esp in a QF. Then I was going to go with TOW, then Twinstorm posted and now I'm second guessing myself. I think there's an elim in Booknewt/Twinstorm/Argenti. I also think there's an elim in TOW/Hoid, especially with 'planet guy' active the first day, missing day 2, then coming back on day 3 like the two of them. Ugh. Worldhopper for now. I'm going to take another break and come back to this.
  21. Ugh, VC I think looking at people who have been 'active' but not that active, I see that Argenti, Twinstorm, and IHAT. Booknewt should also technically be in that category, but she's still doing more than the other three. I think I'm willing to go Argenti IHAT. I do still think there's an elim in between Worldhopper and Hoid Slayer, purely from the 'inactive but recently returned' pool, so I'm perfectly fine with either Hoid Slayer or Argenti getting exed. IHAT (1) Doc Ace (1) Kas Argenti (2) Fura, Doc Hoid Slayer (2) IHAT, TOW Twinstorm (1) Argenti
