  1. Love how Mistfallen is so wary of me getting PMs @Wonko the Sane I'm the opposite where solving mechanically doesn't interest me in the least, and I'm more interested in interactions and social reads. Also extremely amused that Archer and Wonko are basically handholding the elims through how to make things harder for the village.
  2. Apologies everyone this game is a lot more complicated than I bargained on XD. I have not played Resistance so I had no idea how a flipless game would work, but people smarter than me have been doing math and analyzing the mechanics of the game, so that's helpful XD Conclusions I've drawn so far: 1) This loop the elims either have to throw the loop or give us a number of cleared villagers. (Proposed by first Wonko then Archer) 2) There is some discussion on how we actually throw a loop. Araris Wahr and Mistfallen are on the not planning to throw just planning to try and solve group. 3) It does not seem possible to obtain the Fierce Deity mask (Aman you tease) 4) People intend to keep the Postman's hat from me Feel like I'm spinning my wheels here but until the next day when there's a nk and exe doesn't seem like more we can discuss. ------------------------- Colors, streamers, scents everywhere. Thistle and their shadow first went to the Post Office to drop off some letters before realizing it was annoyingly shut. Frowning, Thistle bid the five rupees for the Postman's hat. They needed their letters to be sent, and it would be nice to have an extra source of income. Along the way, they bumped into a flute player who must be one of the performers for later, a bright woman named Cindra. "Hello there!" Thistle beamed, presenting them a warm safflina. "Happy Hero's Carnival!" They passed the laundry pools to pick up some clothing. "Hullo Kieran! Happy Hero's Carnival!" For Kieren, a sundelion, to remind him of magic in the world. They passed crochety old Arenta yelling at some trespassers. "Good afternoon Arenta, happy Hero's Carnival!" Thistle privately considered presenting the woman with their namesake plant, but decided to be generous and gift her a Hyrule Herb instead. "For your aches," they smile. And now they are in the plaza, resting under a parasol so that Zymni could pop up. They shared some Goron-spiced sweet corn and cool water with sprigs of safflina. "You know, Zymni, you've never really told me about what flowers grow where you're from. You've said there's no sun, so can there be plants?"
  3. Popping in to say I'm claiming the postman hat please, no one else go for that You might say "Thistle, you're already a busy shop owner and you have to sell flowers!" But here's a florist's secret. Fleet lotus seeds made into a soup can make you run much faster, allowing one to get more done in a day! (stop by the shop and buy some!) Everyone needs mail delivered, and why not trust your local florist? Thistle will even have special edition flower stamps for extra personalization!
  4. Thistle groaned at the pounding on their door. "Zymni, it's a holiday. Shop doesn't open til 11!" The pounding continued, through the pillow over their head. Rolling their eyes, Thistle got on their feet, padded over to the door and yanked it open, causing Zymni to almost fall in. They fixed her with unimpressed grey eyes, pulling their long green hair into a braid. "Well, since you're so eager, you can help me get the shop ready for opening. I need breakfast." - An hour and a hearty breakfast later, Thistle decided that perhaps today was going to be a good day. They flit around their shop, watering flowers and trimming leaves. The Hero’s Carnival was beginning today, and everyone would want flowers for the celebration. Safflinas of all colors! Bright sundelions! Refreshing ice roses! Purple swift violets and gold fleet-lotus! All arrayed by the storefront to catch the eye of revelers, and for those curious enough to venture into the darkened interior, two or three of the most beautiful flowers of Termina - the softly glowing Silent Princesses. All the while, Zymni fluttered around the shop with barely contained energy, holding stems, checking leaves, eyes pleading. Thistle rolled their eyes again, laughing softly. Always the more excitable of the two, today Zymni was less their employee and more a child at their first Hero's Carnival. "Alright, looks like everything's ready." they give the store another quick once over. "What say you we head out and get us some Goron street food to start?" ------ Ugh this game has no PMs ??? Rude.
  5. You guys think I'm the PM person but Burnt was the first one to PM everyone and manipulate them before I even started Don't trust her farther than you would trust me Hiya Burnt, Hael! It's been forever
  6. I... I can't resist a game with weird rules. I'm not reading them right now, I will simply be surprised and overwhelmed when the game starts I'll be Thistle, a Hylian florist!
  7. But I was innocent in the one long game where you were a pinch hitter Glad I convinced you then even if someone (glares in Mistfallen's direction) got me lynched anyway. Edit: You know. Maybe that's WHY I got killed day 1 of the AN... The GMs nerfed me by not opening PMs day 1
  8. I really screw myself over whenever I play really well evil because then no one trusts me in a game when I'm village @Hoid Slayerno thoughts about me ? Looking back, there really was an alternate game where I didn't get converted c1. I had found the Shardbearer c1, and we could have lynched him c2, making it all the harder for whoever did get converted to even the score. So again, Mistfallen's one action changed the game (even though I had to put in all the work )
  9. If you hadn't lied to me about Mippo's spren I wouldn't have got the village to exe you XD I was aiming to convert Jo so you would have been part of our team! Oh I promise I am not that scary Dive you've been evil with me once (kinda) and we lost bad in the AN XD It's funny that you spectators didn't even see my PMs - I was chatting up almost all the villagers and telling them what they wanted to hear, which is why no one suspected me in the end But then again, I PM everyone regardless of whether I'm evil or good, so always trust me when I'm PMing you because I am friendly and kind i started village! Blame Mistfallen! EDIT to avoid double posting I think one of my only regrets this game, apart from the cycle where I was absent, is that I wrote a lot of RP but it couldnt' be public. Part of the reason Nienna and Jojala hit it off so well is that Jo and I started RPing in our PMs, and I started chronicling Nienna's conversion and madness in the elim doc (you should read it if you haven't Nienna is actually a super sympathetic character and the real hero of the story :P), but of course couldn't post those. There was sadly a bit of a fall-off in RP after c1, and I should have contributed a little more. I will say, @Wahrheitswächter, the reason I killed Qian over you last day was because Marne's whole thing was that they wanted to be left alone, and I respected that
  10. I was only sneaky c1. It got replaced by envoyform (which honestly never got a chance to use), so I was just lying about being sneaky rest of game. To be fair, the fact that I was envoyform did come in useful for skipping C8 altogether. It was funny telling people this cycle that village still had a chance to tie if we misexe Penguin knowing that because I was envoyform, there was absolutely no way the remaining villager could exe me >:)
  11. Also, while I'm thinking about it, I do very much apologize for dipping out C4. As of now I still have not recovered my wallet, and its still something I'm anxious about. I had to go because I could not focus on the game that day. I feel guilty because 1) I absolutely was an elim and I worried that me removing myself from the conversation would make it unfair for the villagers 2)After seeing what Stick said in her post, I felt bad because I did leave abruptly and she interpreted that in a way that made her clear me. It was a real life situation, but I hope it didn't unfairly tip the scales in making the village give me a pass for a cycle. I hope I was as ethical as I could by not voting, PMing or submitting any actions until I was sure I could focus again. As for Jo giving me a pass, maybe it helps people to know I was playing him too by keeping TUM a secret from him until he was actually converted? XD ------------------ Storms. This game was stressful. I stabbed so many people in the back Particular apologies to @mippo, @Akimikoisthecutest, @Honors Ghost, @coco.pudding, who I got close to just to kill the moment I could. Coco pudding actually volunteered to protect me the night I stabbed her, which I feel guilty about XD. @Wahrheitswächter, @Qianweilian, @coco.pudding Absolutely great first outings for you guys. I have high hopes for your next games. @ThatOneWorldhopper, @IcedOutPenguin, Gotcha >:) @The Unknown Medallion, @A Jo in the Bush, Lot of lies, some betrayals. Jo, thanks for writing a beautiful story with me. I love Nienna and Jojala so much. @Archer, @Mistfallen Soldier, @DrakeMarshall I didn't do it for you @Stick. You were amazing c4. The only thing that tripped you up was that both Jo and I hadn't corroborated our stories, and you gave me just a little too much slack. Hope you're honored that they attacked you with extreme prejudice XD
  12. The Ballad of Nienna and Jojala. The rest is in a tab in the elim doc. It was an unexpected pleasure that Jo and my character fell in love organically, and I had a lot of fun writing this with Jo! C3: Not Alone (Jo’s Rp) "I have thought long and hard about this." Jojala began to hesitance, "and i think it is somehow both the wrong choice and the right one at the same time." Forcibly, she attuned to confidence. "But, i am committed to this. Don't do it yet, for i believe there is a good chance that I will die today, or maybe even be dissuaded by an Inspiring Singer, but," hesitance broke through again. Ancestors Lost, was she really doing this? "If I am still alive tomorrow, then I will accept a Regal Spren." (Jo’s RP) Nienna's Rhythms fluctuate between Command and Agony. "I am relieved. I have just the spren. I..." Agony. "I am sorry." Command. "This is necessary." Agony. "I wish it were not so." Command. "You protected me, and I must protect you." Command. Agony. Fury. Command. Agony. "I never wished for this." Command. "But I do not want to die. And I do not want you to die." (Jo’s Rp) Jolala was crying. What had she done? What had she gotten herself into? When she had been Slaveform, she had longed for choice. Now she had choices, and only wished to not have to make them. It was easier to be callous when you had no choice. "Nienna, I feel terrible about Fernri. I didn't realize until too late, why she had been around. She told me, moments before everyone came for her, that she had been following me. I was Radiant material, someone she thought could become a Knight Radiant. And yet. . ." There were strange and terrible spren here. One was inside Nienna's Gemheart. Jolala had agreed to take in another. Was this a terrible betrayal? Was she making a mistake? Would it be a greater betrayal to break an oath? Fernri was gone. Nienna was still here. "I don't know that this is the right choice, but I don't want you to suffer alone. If you provide the spren tonight," again, she forcibly attuned Confidence. So often of late she had to forcibly attune a rhythm other than hesitance. She breathed in. "If you provide the spren tonight, I will take it in." (Jo’s RP) In the night, Nienna took Jojala out into the storm. Jojala, crying, took a voidspren into her gemheart. In the storm she grew stronger, taller, flashing lightning illuminating her beauty. When it was over, Nienna kissed her, and brought her home. C4: True Love “I had been wondering if you were alone in here or not. That’s so sad.” Jojala sighed and she looked around the empty building. “Well, I’m here now, and unfortunately the spren you chose changed me. I have become Stormform, which is very unfortunate.” She withdrew a paper from her stack and handed it over. “It has been… lonely. I was upset. Angry. I was turned against my will. I am… Glad that at least you were given a choice.” “I am glad that you decided to join me. You should have killed me, but you showed me compassion.” “Perhaps. . . but, emotion has always ruled me” … Nienna had to go. Bitel was calling. She loathed to leave Jojala alone only a day after they had joined together, but her Masters brooked no tardiness. “I’ll be gone for the day, my love, are you sure you’ll be alright?” “Go.” And so Nienna left, unknowing of the disaster that would occur. … There’s a strange numbness over the last few hours. "I'm sorry for leaving you like this." Jojala whispered, looking into her eyes."I wish . . ." Nienna was shaking, holding on to Jojala, unwilling to ever let go. "It's my fault . . . I never should have . . ." "No." Jojala whispered. "No. I choose my fate. They're coming for me. But I'm going to protect you." "Why?" Nienna keened to concern. "I'll turn myself in. I'll . . . choose death on my terms." How brave. how terrible. "No." Nienan sobbed. “Please, no… “You showed me compassion even when I was a monster. You chose to become a monster for me. I should be the one they execute. ” "Please." Jojala tried to stay humming to Pleading, but Nienna caught the waver - the way Jojala’s Rhythms switched briefly to Mourning, to Relief… She knew those feelings. The weight of the terrible things they’ve done, the lies… She felt them herself every night. What a relief it might be to die… Jojala was still staring at her, humming Pleading. Nienna sighed brokenly. “I don’t know whether to burn the world, or burn myself…” “Live, gemheart. Live.” Resolve. Footsteps. The mob was coming. Nienna stepped back. "I . . . very well. I will never forget you though." She sought to memorize every facet of her lover’s beautiful face before they took her away. And then they were gone. She did not watch the execution. C5: Widow Nienna sits alone in her destroyed rooms, humming to the Rhythm of Despair. Not one of the Regal Rhythms. It was a Rhythm of the listeners… The listeners… Her people, treated as children at best, livestock for the Fused at worst. She’d come to Revolar already despairing. That was before she was taken from her rooms and forced into her new form. Forced by the voidspren in her gemheart to bow to a new master, serve a new purpose. But then… a moment of Connection. Compassion. A singer who found her shivering and vulnerable in her newly reborn state, and instead of throwing her into the streets deliberately turned away… No… not away. To her. Touched her face. How her gemheart had soared. In that night she composed ten new Rhythms to describe her joy, her relief. To be Seen and Forgiven for her existence… And Nienna had dragged that beautiful singer down into the darkness with her. Betrayed her trust. Killed her radiant spren… Changed her. Forced her… Jojola had every reason to hate her… but even at the very end, there was nothing in her eyes but forgiveness. Nienna should be dead. Should have been the one killed in the square… had she not been summoned away by her Masters, she would have… could have… There was no continuing on. Not truly. What was right anymore? Slowly, quietly, Nienna stopped humming to Despair. She walked to a hidden chest, where she pulled out an ornate dagger. Quietly she started humming again. A Regal Rhythm. The Rhythm of Execution. The tip rested against her breast, in a section exposed by carapace, for one breath. Two. Three. Then she turned it away. Dagger in hand, still humming, she walked out her door. There was going to be blood tonight. … The Shardbearer was executed today. No matter. Nienna would finish this herself. Khenari’s death wasn’t clean. That was on purpose. C6: Envoyform Envoyform was a form for manipulation. For translation, interpretation, persuasion. Jojoja’s victory over the Shardbearer turned to ashes in his mouth when Nienna reinterpreted his intentions, casting him as a traitorous Regal. She smiled as Jojoja was dragged off, screaming his innocence. And young Kiri. So storming naive. Kiri still trusted Nienna’s promises to track down the regals. Promised to use her strength to shield Nienna from attacks that night so she could follow Marne. Kiri, who’s heroic strength could have saved herself, used it instead to stand at Nienna’s door, guarding against all outside threats. She did not expect the knife in her back. Nienna wiped the blood off her knife, already crafting a new story to ensure another innocent death. C7: Endgame Jojoja’s execution… I hope you saw it, dearest Jojala. I hope you feel slightly avenged. Storms. I miss you so much. Everything reminds me of you. My life has shrunk into three life-changing nights. The night I was captured and converted. The nightmare. The night you joined me… The happiest night of my life. The night you were executed, and my world shattered once again I miss you. I miss you. I miss you.
  13. I pegged you very early that game, it was just that no one would believe me XD And you managed to pocket me my very last cycle alive by defending me strongly. As I said in the doc, you converting me won you the game Well! That was an insane game! I hope I didn't scare anyone too bad XD
  14. Singers: The Parshmen of Revolar, recently freed by Odium, you are now being forcibly corrupted into bonding Voidspren, yet you fight back. As the uninformed majority, you win when all the Regals are dead. Unlike the elim win con the village win con says nothing about outnumbering which does require one alive let us have this Twinstorm
  15. I suppose in the chance that we're wrong, we move to a 1:1 where there's a 50/50 chance of the either the elim killing the villager or the villager exeing the elim but also getting NK'd, causing the Shardbearer and village to win by a technicality? Not an ideal situation obviously but would be pretty funny if it happened that way.
  16. Storm this. Coco was the one I trusted the most. I followed Wahr last night as I suspected them the most after TOW. They did not visit Coco. This means the regal is penguin or Qian. I'm voting on Penguin.
  17. Actually, by my count, you're the less active player here It's a good question - I didn't think a regal would bus the Shardbearer when they both need more kills per night to reach their own win cons. But given that everybody was ready to vote on you or TUM based on Stick's analysis, I can see a world where e!Worldhopper offers the Shardbearer to clear themselves because obviously, as you keep repeating, the regals would rather the Shardbearer alive, therefore you couldn't be a regal. So you're saying for 5 cycles of the game, you only took one action, and it just so happened to be the one that caught a Shardbearer, ie the only target that the villagers would be more willing to try and exe than a regal? I think I'm happy with my vote where it is for now. Other thoughts: I've gotten claims from everyone. So far only one other person has claimed a role while three have claimed vanilla. I find myself slightly skeptical as every villager who's died so far has had a role. Current thoughts. Wahr: Currently everyone's top suspect aside from TOW. I voted on Wahr day 1 because I thought their votes were a little weird. They poke voted Coco, but then changed their vote to Stick when Archer voted on them. Other than that, they've voted TUM consistently. On c4 they and Jo voted on each other briefly, which Stick suspected could be distancing. The fact that they voted for TUM a lot before TUM actually turned out to be a Shardbearer makes me trust them slightly more, which is also part of the reason I'm choosing not to vote Wahr this cycle. Penguin: Their vote patterns are a little more erratic. C1 Akimiko, c2 TOW, c3 themself, c4 Jo, c5 TUM. They seem to be more present now. Still an unknown. I know that a lot of us are voting off Stick's analysis because she turned out to be right about Jo and TUM, but I do hope that people also develop their own reasons. If TOW is village, I'd look at Penguin. Qian: Vote patterns: c1 Akimiko, c2 Honor's Ghost, c3 Penguin, c4 did not vote, c5 TUM. Staying on Penguin this cycle. I thought at first that Qian seems to just be following what other people are voting, but now they seem focused on Penguin, which I can appreciate. Voting Akimiko c1 and not voting on Jo c4 seem a little weird, but so far they seem rather earnest. Coco: Vote patterns: c1 jumped around but chose not to vote. c2 Honor's Ghost, c3 Mippo, c4 Jo, c5 TUM. I was suspicious of them for not voting on a train c1, but other than that they've been on all the winning trains. I like them more than most as in PMs yesterday they were more willing to discuss alternate people they would vote on while everyone else was pretty set on TUM/TOW. That shows me they're trying to solve rather than sitting back.
  18. We don't know that for sure. Could have been the Shardbearer, although I do think if the Shardbearer killed it would have been TOW. I almost want to vote Penguin because just going off Stick's post feels rather lazy. I PM'd everybody last cycle asking who they would have tried to exe if TOW had not come forward with his news. Coco: TUM/Wahr/Penguin Wahr: TOW/TUM Qian: TOW Penguin: TOW Interestingly everyone would have been happy to exe TOW, except he came forward with claims of finding a Shardbearer. So everyone voted TUM instead, and now TOW is basically cleared. I said last cycle that I thought it was too easy, and now I'm wondering if TOW was bussing TUM to clear himself and get attention off him. I don't know. Between TOW and Wahr, I honestly like Wahr a little more just because Wahr has been more active and has been contributing and responsive, while TOW has been in the background and only really did something - giving the village a Shardbearer - the turn after Stick called them out. For now, I'm voting for TOW
  19. I think unless TUM responds, this is going to be a really quiet cycle, and I don't think that's good. I don't want people to just park their votes and not discuss anything for the rest of the day, so I'll lay out my thoughts. Stick caught us an elim. In her posts yesterday she also named TOW and Wahr as possible Regals. TOW and TUM are obviously in conflict right now. According to Stick, TOW did not submit an action a few nights in a row. This does make me slightly question their assertion this cycle, as after not using their ability much, they just happen to catch a murder? Obviously this can be proved on how TUM flips so we can wait on this. Wahr is interesting, as Stick also pointed out that Jo and Wahr could be engaging in distancing. I like Wahr - they've been pretty invested in mechanics and trying to analyze the distribution, though that's not indicative of alignment. Wahr's post about being very sure who we execute and being in favor of no exe over a misexe, that seems village to me, for now? Wahr did vote to kill Jo, but at that point Jo also seemed to have given up. Related to that point, I don't know if this time being on the Jo train is necessarily a clear, as he voted himself end of cycle and could have just told his remaining teammate to bus him. For Qian, Penguin, and Coco I have less on. Penguin just voted Jo. Qian started voting penguin but switched to Jo. Coco wasn't sure about voting Jo near the end but did so anyways. Of those, I trust Coco and penguin the least. Akimiko I still trust, though I personally would really like a return to the aggressive unity of first cycle - now thst it's so quiet I think loud voices are needed more than ever.
  20. Apologies for missing yesterday, looks like you guys did great though! I don't see a reason to distrust TOW,so TUM . Are we thinking Regal or Shardbearer? Also do we think the Regals have any converts left? It might not be a bad idea for Inspiring listeners to share either privately or publicly the people they inspired on each night, especially the nights with no attacks so we know who COULDN'T have been converted
  21. I'm back, kinda. I don't have my wallet yet but I've done the best I can. As promised, I will not vote or use any actions this cycle, but I'll try and post and message tomorrow. Thank you for your patience friends.
  22. Hey friends. I am really sorry but a real life emergency came up and I will not be available rest of this turn. I lost my wallet which contains very important ID and I'm going to be focusing on calling people/looking for it. I will not take any actions this cycle, and if I do return to play this cycle I will make sure to inform everyone in thread that I am back and engaging.
  23. I'm honored, but while I want to be active keeping up with the QF is already a little much 500-1000 posts in a single day??
