I'm going to be entering the breath lottery every night until I can get a lifeless or two. I think I can have two. I hope so. I see no reason not to enter the lottery every night until you can perform the action limit. So, yeah. Also, I think it will be more important for the village to get lifeless and straw men then to get Rabbits. We need to survive, we have a day lynch, and once we have a few lifeless, some of us should save to get Rabbits. Actually, a few should start saving right away, and anyone who has lifeless should protect them. Most of this does not work without cooperation, and a good deal of knowledge. Unfortunately, it appears to be very difficult to find out who is who in this particular game.

Mid-Range Game 16: War of the (Cosmere) Worlds
Magestar replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yes. That's what I meant. -facepalm- Actually, in that case, it would be good if a scadrian would scan her tonight. Just to see if she is telling the truth. And maybe then another scadrian can start protecting her anonymously. Wow. I have no idea why I'm supporting scadrial. -sigh- This is a good idea for any of the teams.- 537 replies

Mid-Range Game 16: War of the (Cosmere) Worlds
Magestar replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah guys. Contact Wilson. But seriously, she is going to be attacked tonight, most likely, whether she is Scadrian or not. So I say it is not a bad idea to tell her. Just my opinion though.- 537 replies

I enjoyed scrolling up and down, while looking at the unopened spoilers there. Ooo, my eyes. But seriously, this is a meme's thread. I don't believe this has been done, so... (First time doing this. Lets hope it works.) This is honestly what I think of every single time someone refers to Taravangian that way. I don't know how it started, but it's hilarious.

Without Mutants, they can just use their current Pseudo Mutant Inumans. Honestly, they are so darn similar right now... Ugh. I could go on and on about what they are doing with the Inhumans, but I enjoy Agents of Shield too much, so I'll leave that alone for now.

I could be wrong, but the comparison with the arm seems to me to be saying this; (I am not a physics major. Feel free to disregard everything I say as gobbledegook.) Lets say I have a coin on the palm of my hand. Let's also say I am on a very slippery surface, for the point of the experiment. I push against the coin. It moves back, I stay in the same spot. Then I push the same coin against an unmoving mass. When I do this, My arm flexes, moving me backwards (usually.) The coin does push me backwards, marginally, in my hand, but the force is extremely small, and does almost nothing. Then, when I push against the wall, I slide back. My own force cannot move the wall, so it moves me. This is all a rather simplistic explanation. When a coinshot shoots a coin at a wall, they are 'flexing' their 'arm' The coin moves, they stay put. Then, when the coin hits the wall, the 'arm' pushes the coinshot back with the amount of force the 'arm' was applying in relation to the wall, which will not be effected by the strength of the 'arm', however, you pushing against the wall will move you backwards. Of course, a coinshot's strength is a good bit stronger than an arm, but I think you get the point. This is not a great visual due to arm length, arm force, etc. Another, possibly more accurate way of thinking about it (I am going to use metaphors, not equations, because I tend to be better with the former.) is that a coin shot's steel pushes are like a very long, very compact piston. The piston starts out at a set length. The coin is on the end of it.When the piston extends, the coin moves. The piston's weight is equal to that of the coinshot. When the coin hits a wall, it stops, then, depending on the weight of the wall, the piston is shoved backwards by it's own force. As it extends, the metal tubes forming the piston's constantly extending arm get thinner, and weaker, until it can no longer push the coinshot. If the coinshot pushes suddenly downwards, he gets shot up by the force of the piston, and has enough momentum to carry himself upwards. I hope this is not confusing, and I would love for you guys to poke holes in it, or tell me what is wrong with it. This does sound similar to what Jofwu is saying, but I had a little trouble understanding everything they said. I think the problem they are having is that of the piston continuing to extend. That force has to go somewhere. Other than that, excellent show. I agree with most of what I could understand of what you said. I would say the coin pressed against the wall would not slip because of friction, but the coin between Kel and Vin should have slipped... Odd. Tell me what you think.

Plus, Speed does a lot of things that don't make sense AT ALL for simple physical speed, IMO.

People you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley
Magestar replied to Voidus's topic in The Alleyverse
That's terrible. Have you heard 'What's the difference between 100 dead babies and a Ferrari'? I personally find these jokes creepy, but I figured I might as well contribute. (Insert Hemalurgy stuff) -
I've posted the idea before in other threads, but never really gotten anything going. I will post the full theory tomorrow or later today, when I have time.

Ok. Well, those are all good answers, but it appears there is no firm 'this is how it works'. I was wondering if it had something to do with storing 'seconds' or something similar. There is a good deal more to this theory, but I would like to flesh it out a bit before putting it in Cosmere Theories. The way it would work would have something to do with storing half the seconds you would normally live, in exchange for going a half faster later, for the same amount of time. This would fit with a good deal of the normal feruchemy standards, even if it does need some work. There are a few other problems, but what do you guys think?

Yeah... Reed Richards is Mister Fantastic. (Facepalm) Also, I believe Moonstone was a Pseudo Ms Marvel for a while. I think Kamala Khan is cool for the new comics, although I was never a big fan of Carol Danvers myself. edit; Ninja'd by Darkness. Thank you for knowing who Reed Richards is. I had almost lost all hope in humanity.

Yeah... Pepe is a citizen of the realm of 'dank' memes, I beleive. I never venture there, for the inhabitents have the tendency to steal your soul, and also creep the heck out of me.

Well, I am now openly frustrated with this turn of Events. It would have been the same outcome whichever of us you had decided to lynch, but I am still annoyed that we lost a villager. I hope things go better tonight.

I think it's a good idea to put up vote tallies. Because... Idk, I just feel like doing it. Meta(1) - Twel Doctor(1) - Ecth Conq(1) - Lopen Magestar(3) - Meta, Mark, FrozenMint Bugsy(3) - Bard, Sheep, Magestar Bard(1) - Araris Sheep(1) - Bugsy Danyah(1) - Paranoid King. Seriously, this is kind of sad. Bugsy does not seem the least suspicious to me, and the three votes on me are based on a accusation that I have answered pretty well, in my mind, something I don't know what to make of, and a rather odd Bandwagon vote, which I could see coming from a player who knows my alignment, and has been told to vote on me in-doc. I don't really like the looks of this right now, although my death will bring the village some knowledge.

I'm going to be honest; I have no idea why people are voting for me. In the interest of self preservation, I am going to have to put my vote on Bugsy. I was hoping not to have to do this. Bugsy, I hope you are an Elim. Meta, I don't know why your vote is still on me, as I don't really think you have a good reason any more. Mark, I'm not sure why you put yours on me in the first place. I hope this gets cleared up before the tonight. I would love to not die N1, and continue my losing streak. edit; Bugsy, I'm voting for you completely out of self-preservation. I have no real reason to believe you are an Elim, and will be rather frustrated if you are village. Sorry about this. I don't necessarily agree with Sheep that the claims against me made no sense, but I think they should have been cleared up by now. Except for Mint's, which I was slightly disappointed with, to be honest. That line of thought makes no sense, and it would be just as well to say your bandwagoning as say that. edit 2; @Metacognition, Do you still feel like I'm an Elim?

I don't really like using stuff from previous games to try to prove something, but I feel like it is the best way to defend myself here. I would really rather not do this, but I would like to say that, as far as voting goes, I did practically the same thing in the last LG I was in. Almost the exact same thing. And I don't want to see Bugsy lynched. I have no real reason to want to see him lynched RN, just like with Elenion in LG24. I am seriously considering putting a vote on Meta, but I feel like that would just be because I am frustrated with what he is doing, so I will hold back for now, even though I do have some bad reads on him. I would rather not die, but you guys would definitely get some info out of it. It's kind of weird that in both LG's I have been in, I have been sort of attacked for making what I thought was a simple mistake. I thought Maill was an Elim in LG24 for that reason, but it turned out he was not, which is one of the reasons I'm confused about Meta. Also, both players names started with M. Just random coincidences.

Yeeaah... Not cool internet. Not cool. Matt Damon completes Jondesu's list. Plus there's also Bruce Willis and Don Cheadle. Oddly, I cannot remember a lot of the main cast beyond that. Bruce Willis was only in Oceans 13, too. I used to have all the names down, but I guess it's been too long since I watched those. I guess I know what I'm doing tonight. I guess I have to go now... Oh Well. WLIU... Name 5 Apple Operating systems.
-
Shoot. I love the Oceans movies. Some of the best movies ever made. I kind of want someone else to answer this one though. Plus, I don't want to go so close to just having gone. Also, an Echidna is a greek monster. Rather, she is. You can look it up, but the images are kind of... Yeah, just don't look at the images.

So, basically, I was just wondering if there is a definite answer to this question; How does Steel Feruchemy work? The title really says it all. I've looked around, but have not found a definite answer, and was wondering if anyone knew. If not, I have an idea, but I'd like to make sure that there is not another, correct answer, before I make a fool of myself in the Cosmere Theories section.

Meta, to be fair, I have not played many games. I think I have played one with you, and, from what I have seen, you seem to be acting similarly to how you did then. I did not really notice a difference, but I guess, if you feel you are acting differently, then I can chalk that up to poor analysis on my part. On the point about me misunderstanding the rules, I just got back from a week long vacation yesterday. I even said as much in the same post as I made the mistake about the how breath works. Well, I said I had just gotten back, anyway. I have read the rules now, and will try to keep mistakes to a minimum, as every time I make one someone seems to decide I'm suspicious. I thought the same about Maill in the first LG I played, but it turned out he was village, so I will reserve judgement on your seemingly unprovoked attack on me, Meta. As far as what Bugsy said, I think there are definitely suspicious things he has done, but the breath count thing makes sense to me. It seems weird, at least to me, that the GM would give someone the power to create a lifeless, and an awakened rope, on the first turn. That's a lot of power(as Mark just said while ninja'ing me). So, while Bugsy might have reached his conclusion by other, more devious means, which is not unlikely; It could be just that, the same conclusion I reached. Also, if he did start with low breath, it would definitely be a shock to see someone start with a lot more than you. I don't see any other good lynch options right now, so I will withhold Judgement, but I think Bugsy might be a good option, just to start evaluating things. However, I do not think he is suspicious enough for me to put down a vote on him. I tend to be very cautious with my votes, and would really like to see more discussion, considering how many people are in this game, and how little conversation there has been.
