The power reduction thread?
-
I think pvp reduction and planning (and maybe power reduction) belong together to some degree, since they impact each other to a fair degree, and because (except perhaps power reduction) they don't really have easy fixes or guidelines/rules that can be created to fix them, unlike the guild reforms (and probably power reductions). I'd also suggest putting the power reduction reforms into a separate thread, both to avoid cluttering up this one, and to allow us to discuss other more generic/smaller topics in here.
-
Multiple threads seems easier, since it'll allow discussions to move faster and allow us to use ideas from one part of the reforms to affect other parts without having to redo the whole thing later. It'll also make it easier to find the exact details of the discussion, since you wouldn't have to read through 20 pages just to find the conclusion, and it allows you to add to a discussion later on when you've suddenly thought of an issue. Of course, this will cause a rather large amount of threads to spawn, which can be an issue.
-
Splitting the parts of the reforms into different threads seems like a good idea, since it lowers the chance of people missing arguments because the debate is currently focused on a different topic. Are you going to create the threads, or should somebody else do it?

"Alright, one minute." KoTiel replied. They concentrated, focusing on their body, and a bulge appeared on their hand. Inside, they manipulated the tissue, copying the tissue where they stored their memories. Then they started altering the tissue, reshaping it in a way that other kandra would automatically be able to access the memories. When they were finished they were holding a small, deformed grey orb. "Alright," they said. "I'm ready. First, we'll drop in the essence spikes. If everything looks good I'll then drop in the memory core, and see if the transfer has succeeded. If it has, I'll run some tests to make sure it's stable. After that..." They hesitated. "After that, I'll probably shut myself down, and allow the new me to inherent my spikes and skeleton." Remembering something, they called out to one of the assistants. "That reminds me, can one of you bring over the true body over there? Bring the hair too, while you're at it. Thank you."

Because at this point, I'm starting to suspect anything you do is capable of destroying the alleyverse if you wanted it to. -

Do they also happen to be the cause of the destruction of the alleyverse? -
"True," KoTiel said, and punched a code into the computer. The display lit up, and revealed a large series of notes and dna sequences, as well as videos and audio logs.

"Ah, what we're going to be doing to it is the most interesting, of course, " KoTiel started explaining. "However, the mistwraith itself is quite special as well. Specifically, I modified it to some degree to improve it's speed when changing shapes, and I also enabled it to create specific enzymes and cells that allow it to grow hair and nails in the same way as humans do, as well as actually repair bones to a limited degree. Of course, efficiency is a lot lower than with humans, but it'll still be very useful to me, especially the ability to repair broken bones."
-
KoTiel watched Laurelai walk in. "you're ready?" They asked. "Well, lets get going." Smiling they keyed a sequence into the tank, and watched the fluids drain away, revealing the shapeless Mistwraith underneath. "Now this," they said with a grin, "is going to be interesting."

How strong will they be? Cause at the moment it gives me the impression they'll become a group of redshirts for villains and antiheroes to beat up.

KoTiel looked at the readings in front of them. "Finally," they thought. Even with the bendalloy bubble incubators it had taken them a fair bit of time to incubate the different samples, and creating them in the first place was difficult enough already. They sighed. Even with the equipment available, they hadn't been sure if they could actually do it. After all, gene tailoring was a rather... delicate process, especially when you were introducing entirely new types of cells and enzymes into a species. Still, they finally managed it, a Mistwraith capable of growing hair, nails, and with enough time, even repairing broken bones. Smiling they walked to the intercom, and called Laurelai. "Hey, KoTiel here. How far are you with the research? I'm just about ready to decant the body over here."

Introducing Elder Gods and Great Old Ones might not be the best thing, given both the amount of power and impact they have, and the fact that a lot of people might not know that much about them. I don't have any real issue with weaker stuff like Ghouls and Nightgaunts though.

Kaitlin walked along the road looking at the city ahead. Seeing the amount of people increase she adjusted her hoodie, making sure it hid her face, trying to avoid drawing attention to the crystals in her skin. Not that it mattered of course, she thought, looking at the woman walking beside her. With her pink clothes, she was drawing looks from everybody around them. Kaitlin felt herself growing jealous. "Why can't I wear something like that," she thought to herself. Of course, if she knew the disturbed looks people would give her then, looking away as soon as they'd noticed her skin. The woman walking next to her noticed her looking at her, and turned around. "What, is there something on my face?" Neverthere asked, smiling. "Ah, no..." Kaitlin stammered quietly. "Wanted to ask how I keep my hair so nice? Trade secret I'm afraid." Neverthere said with a giggle. "Or did you have a question for me about the city?" "I did," Kaitlin said, slowly. "Well then, speak up a bit, I can't hear you like that." Neverthere said, leaning in towards Kaitlin's face. "Well, you didn't tell me how to get past the checkpoint," she answered. "Of course I didn't," Neverthere replied, tapping her foot on the ground. "I don't want to be seen at the checkpoint, and I want to see how you manage on your own." She smiled. "Of course, I expect that you won't tell them about me, right?" With that, she disappeared in a puff of mist. Sighing, Kaitlin started walking again, feeling everybody around her looking at her, shocked by the girl who just vanished. Slowly Kaitlin walked towards the checkpoint. A guard moved towards her. "Can you take of your hood please, miss?" he asked. Kaitlin started thinking. Would she take the hood off? That would immediately show him she was an Epic. But if she didn't take it off, he'd probably send her away. Besides, he asked her, didn't he? She didn't want to offend him. While she was thinking the guard waved a second guard over, getting suspicious. Quickly, he threw back her hood. Immediately, Amethyst reacted. She summoned her shards, holding them at the throats of the guards. "Show no weakness," Margret's voice sounded in her head. "You're an Epic, those weaker than you should obey you. Kill all those who don't." But then, didn't Margret betray them? Amethyst stood there, motionless. "Kill them," she heard Marget say. "But the Epics here won't like that," she thought. "They insulted you, they need to pay." Margret again. "Neverthere might be disappointed in me." As soon as the though cross her mind, Margret's voice disappeared. Focusing, she saw the looks of the guards. Quickly, she pulled her crystal shards back. Trying to make herself seem in control, she started talking, unconsciously trying to sound the same as Margret. "I'll let you live, despite your insult. Tell your master I'm not looking for trouble with him, as long as he leaves me alone." With that, she walked past the checkpoint, trying to look in control, feeling the stares of the people around her. Quickly, she pulled her hood back up, trying to hiding her face. Even so, a small smile appeared on her face, happy that she managed to do this on her own. She started walking into the town, hoping that Neverthere would praise her for how she got in. On her hand a small shard of crystal slowly shrunk away.

Yeah, I think we posted at the same time, which caused confusion.

I meant the screenshot Darth posted, not your profile picture. It looks good though.

Why the picture?

I rather don't want a bunch of repairable tech lying around, since this would only end up restarting the whole arms-race. Edit: While I don't mind the vampire, I do feel that we should try to combine the ideas a bit into a single coherent thing, instead of about 5 different types of Armageddon happening at the same time while not being connected with each other. Maybe the vampire or plague could be connected to the experiments Solace is doing?
