    Here are some possible fixes: -can only convert energy on contact with object. -powers have a range of 10 feet --> 1/2 foot (no massive shockwaves, no tiny lasers) -can only convert one thing to another light --> sound --> heat --> kinetic energy --> electricity --> light -energy increases in conversion -can only suck in energy with his left hand and release energy with his right hand. -limited to one form per energy (laser, shockwave, fireball, kinetic throw, lightning bolt.)
