I wanted to know their stories and felt it was important that they shouldn’t be forgotten. I also interviewed both my grandmothers and my great-uncle. I was going to go to England to interview my great-aunt, but she died before I could. When Covid lets up enough for me to travel I’ll be going to interview her children and grandchildren. There aren’t so many Survivors left that we can afford to lose the stories of those that remain.

Scadrial is Cosmere France. How can there NOT be frogs? My grandfather had actually eaten frog legs as a child. It’s the rabbit stew he - and his brother - remember though. Apparently the woman who saved them made a really good rabbit stew, because they both brought it up when I interviewed them.

I’m with you that it’s Kell. I think he set up events with Tan, then gave PaAlm her spike. Worth noting that she does recreate the mood of the night the Final Empire was overthrown, and that’s definitely the kind of thing Kelsier would play with. Although WHY he would do it is the question... My theory (that I’ve had for awhile) is that Kell is pushing the Basin to the edge of open war, then tugging them back. In doing so he creates a Cold War-like scenario which encourages innovation. And he wanted this innovation to occur BEFORE North and South met. I also think he’s been manipulating everyone: Saze, Autonomy, the Set, the Trellists, the Survivorists, the Pathians, the Southerners, the >redacted<, and everyone else to achieve his goals. And those eggs he’s juggling are starting to get out of his control. And will come crashing down in a giant mess sometime around or in Era 3. This does not necessarily mean she wasn’t talking to Kelsier... The odds of him being Trell or being directly involved with whatever Trell is went up tremendously the minute Brandon revealed that we’d know just who Trell is by the end of TLM. The SoS, BoM, TLM trilogy have had an overlying arc leading to the Survivor’s return and an underlying thread of the dangers of his philosophies. So knowing the mystery of ‘who is Trell’ is going to be resolved in TLM means the answer is almost certain to dovetail with Kelsier’s return to the main stage. Not to mention that Kelsier has had dealings with Autonomy, which is VERY suspicious considering the only other place we’ve seen Trell mentioned. And he has definitely been keeping important information from Saze. (And possibly murdering Sazed’s agents...)

Warbreaker

Mistborn of Metals: The Mistborn of Metals features the Ascendant Warrior. In her right hand she holds a spike and in the left is her obsidian dagger. The spike is an inheritance from the Final Empire versions of the deck and gives this suit its second name: Spikes. Interestingly, tradition holds that this suit represents allomancy. Some variations of the deck utilize metal vials instead of spikes. The Mistborn of Metals symbolizes Vision, Honour, and Natural-born Leadership. Reversed it represents Impulsiveness, Haste, and Ruthlessness. Per Master Thaidakar several attributes associated with this card are not true of Lady Vin, but were attributed to her by the early Survivorists. The oldest known version of this card is set in a frame in Master Thaidakar’s office. I have no idea where he found it, as I’m fairly certain he was non-corporeal when it was created.

This is how I think Marsh and Kell’s reunion went. Note: this is intended to be part of DatS. Centuries ago: Kelsier: Marsh! Marsh: Kelsier?! (Brothers hugging) Marsh: You’re alive?! Kelsier: I think so. Kelsier: There are differing philosophies. Marsh: I’m really glad to see you, Kell. Kelsier: Me too, big brother. Still Hugging Marsh: ... Marsh: You can stop hugging me now. Kelsier: No, I can’t. Kelsier: This isn’t a hug. I’m holding on for dear life. Marsh: (steps back) Kelsier (falling): HEY! Marsh: I thought you were joking? Kelsier (on ground): I have a spike through one eye. Kelsier: My vision is a mess and I have no depth perception. Kelsier: ... Can you please help me up now? This comic seems to mostly involve making fun of Kelsier and his shenanigans. It’s fun.
