  1. “Kelsier,” Kelsier replied, the syllables rolling off his tongue in the Scadrian way. “Try not to butcher it too badly.” Non-North Scadrians always seemed to have trouble with it for some reason.
  2. The Ghostbloods‘ plan should be written on a chalkboard in very bad handwriting. Like this: But messier. Thaidakar’s handwriting is known for being so terrible it’s legendary. As an aside, I’m pretty sure this is their plan.
  3. You might also be able to pinch hit if someone isn’t participating.
  4. Kelsier laughed as he returned to himself. “That was fun. And these pies are good too.” He finished his off, licking the cream off his fingers, his scars rough on his tongue. This time he did not allow the magic to transform him. He’d much rather eat the pie. It always amazed him how sweet cane sugar could be. Which was fine - Kelsier had always liked sweets and everything tasted sweeter once Saze fixed the world. Even vegetables were sweet!
  5. Kelsier smirked at the twins. He’d been right: there was something odd about these pies. This world’s Investiture, rubbing against his own. It wanted to change him, he realized. Some kind of... bird? A ‘canary’ probably, based on what those twins had said. Temporary, it seemed, considering the power was already fading. He took another bite of the pie, strengthening the spell. He winked at the twins. “Canary, you said? Could be interesting.” He stopped resisting, allowing the spell to take hold.
  6. I think it’s supposed to be SA only. Fortunately, Thaidakar is a Stormlight character, so I get to pick him anyway. (My current answers to favorite character questions: SA - Thaidakar; Cosmere - Kelsier. Works out very well.)
  7. I love the way you put that. I’m going with: protagonist or antagonist depends on the particular series.
  8. For Era 3. Brandon has been quiet on his involvement in Era 4.
  9. Me: South Scadrian.
  10. Kell grinned. “Oh, that’s a widely accepted fact. Now, what do these pies actually do?” He held up the one he swiped from the twins. And took a bite.
  11. Kelsier smirked. “And that’s why you decided to ask three oddly dressed strangers? Newcomers to this magical world? Imagine if something were to happen to completely turn us off the concept...”
  12. Kelsier raised a brow. “That depends. Why are you offering?”
  13. Here you go!
  14. Or he’s going to end up having good intentions, going about it the wrong way, and end up going through a redemption arc which fits closer with his Mistborn arc (which has been upwards inclined.) I do agree that his survival post Era 3 is not guaranteed. Although his being a player outside of Scadrial makes me think it more likely than prior.
  15. Why don’t you come down to forum games and join the Cosmere rap battles? We need people!
  16. It’s okay. Yes, that song. It’s absolutely perfect for her learning to play a con.
  17. The two old friends sat backstage, sipping their wine together. “It’s been a long time, hasn’t it?” Kelsier said quietly. “Centuries, at least for me. And your grandson isn’t the sort to relax with a glass of wine. Far too uptight.”
  18. I just want to know how Kelsier managed to pick up and lose so many Shards in one book... (seriously, we’ve had him pick up three different ones between this page and the last.)
  19. The Well of Ascension and everyone present at it. L to R: Leras, Elend, Vin, Kelsier, Ati
  20. Trell is also a character in White Sand, which takes place on Taldain.
  21. Kelsier claps Breeze on the back. “Nice job, Breeze! Here’s to a Scadrian victory.” He grins, winking as he offers his friend a glass of deep, red wine. “Last time I get you a drink, by the way.”
  22. I’d advise staying away from the Shard until you’ve read everything. There are lots of spoilers here. At least read all of Mistborn! As for the Atium stash... RAFO!
  23. Eryn stepped lightly from the coach, keeping a close eye on Zola. She motioned to her two recruits, indicating they should stay near. She would not want to lose them out here.
  24. Nope. But the transformation sequence in Snow White gave me nightmares when I was five, if that counts. TPBM think Snow White is underrated and that opening the door for an old woman having a heart attack is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
  25. I don’t think it has been. I think we’ll go back after Era 3 and discover that the ending was hinted at in one of the epigraphs in Era 1.
