  1. Boo it isn't really that hard to follow The short and long of it is that I am a Voidbringer and I am trying to decide if Kasimir is also a Voidbringer. Or at least, that is what it probably looks like to people who aren't me. You are quite correct. I have yet to utter a falsehood in this game, technicaly speaking, and I do plan on using the eliminator kill on Kasimir (and not a sword). I am both willing and able to do so this cycle. Later on there is some chance I might stop trying to kill him, but only if he dies before that point. In that case I might stop trying to kill him regardless of anything else that happens. Yes but tbh one could do better than flirting with Kas You are also quite right I would not have figured that was the thing Matrim was talking about. Making the emoji a tell would probably be fair at least because everyone uses it a lot. Boooo ties are bad
  2. I do not have any orders submited right now to use a sword on you.
  3. I am honestly playing a very normal game this time around, and if anyone has a problem with that then I'm not sorry Although, to the best of my knowledge pretty mcuh everything I have said so far has been contradictory. That is pretty much all there is to it. The forces that dictate my behaviors are complex and inscrutable :eyes: I am not playing any games except cards, and you can keep your guesses to yourself. I think Iwille is composed of approximately 0% troll DNA though, when you think about it. I am pleased to inform you that you're bound to get one of those eventually. Even with these players "I can only do one of those things at the same time and I feel like the cards I have are ones I should hold on to for as long as possible. Honestly I think everyone should consider holding their cards today. You very probably will get chances to spend them all eventually."
  4. I think I would bet against this game having a volatile setup as well. There was probably a decent amout of time to adjust things for the number of players and I imagine they may have even been thinking about MR43 to balance a game like this. But the point is, depending on your alignment, I think you should probably be excluded from any ties that happen this cycle. If you wanted to be part of a tie than too bad, my reasoning for this line of thinking is probably terrible but I am pretty set in my ways. Oh goody, I hope we get to see that in action. I am at odds with Mat, yes. It really wouldn't make sense for the elims to have the Lucky role compared to the others.
  5. "Hello I am displeased to be of your aquaintance and your treatise on the nature of vice in card games sounds like a bore. Also I think abusing authority is great! So there." [I don't believe you, Eiillw would never do such a thing.] "I already said I have a wealth of principles, but I'm keeping them all to myself. Anyone who wants any of my one-of-a-kind principles can get lost." I dare you to keep counting my votes tbh So, I think this would be pretty doable, so I probably could get behind it. That is how you know for sure that I am a Voidbringer. I am a very boring person I would agree, I think. Archer Kasimir.
  6. Are you implying that Elwili has no principles? Yes, channelling Ewlieli is absolutely a thing that I am doing, but I for one have lots of principles so I don't need to borrow any of yours Yes, I do not want to bet you a firemark, anything else will do.
  7. [OOC: :eyes: Are you sure] [OOC: Drake] smh i will bet you something that isn't a firemark
  8. im not sorry im afraid that means you have to keep your vote on me now such a tie would theoreticaly be possible but whatever you do please do not post any cow memes would that actually result in a tie? @Lotus also no that is not a thing that Drake did I am pretty sure I bet you are trying to make people think you don't have a shardblade. Guys what do you think about the really big bandwagon on Not Voting? what did they do to deserve this fate
  9. I bet you can. I don't plan on going anywhere, so I should at least be around to finish those duties. What do you think of gambling on putting two people on the spot to be booted from the table? EDIT: You're right, Archer has reached 2,000 posts and seems very suspicous.
  10. Yeah but if the vote as well of the role of inactive players is given to an active player of the same alignment, it doesn't actually progress the wincon of either side. That is a fairly important part of it. This doesn't really "fix" inactivity, because inactivity still hurts your faction by depriving them of an additional person's perspective and voice in the game. It also makes your faction somewhat more reliant on whoever receives the additional vote and/or role (it might not be a bad idea to split those things up and give them to different players, if possible). But unless you have a pinch hitter on hand (which I still think should always be the first fallback in the case of inactivity) there is not a whole lot you can do about this. Idk, using game mechanics to deal with the activity in a game is kinda hard, but I feel like the goal should generally be to mitigate the impact of inactivity on the balance of the game, and hopefully this does that somewhat. Literacy is highly overrated tbh. I agree that it is still something to be cautious about, for multiple reasons. Depending on how it is done though it might be able to work.
  11. Well, I have never guarded before, but I feel very sure that guarding is sure to be a nice and quiet business. I accused you of being a cheater, yes. I think you probably are one. I think I will not take you up on that bet. Do you have any other bets you wish to make? EDIT: Also what kind of broam ist?
  12. I can't speak much to the second mechanic, but I likes me a good set of rules to encourage activity. A loose idea for an activity policy I have been toying with is that basically, if you can't find a pinch hitter for an inactive player, they are removed from the game without an alignment flip, and their vote and any roles they possessed are given to another player of the same alignment. What counts as an inactive player is up to the discretion of the particular setup (personally, I prefer basing it completely on voter turnout, but I have literally never seen anyone else run games that way so your mileage may vary). What criteria is used to redistribute votes/roles to other players of the same faction is also up to the discretion of the particular setup. Off the top of my head, you could totally just do it randomly, with preference given to players who don't already have a role. I think Araris was suggesting that the reward happens after the game ends. If it happened during the game, you are correct that it might upset the balance. And on top of that, there would be a danger that players could use the system like an alignment scanner, which is kinda the exact opposite of what this mechanic is going for If you get rewarded for having accurate analysis during the game, then that is basically confirmation that many of the people you guessed are eliminators.
  13. Well you see the Voidbringers sent me, what about you? I do not understand your vote. I am offend! Karnan what do you have to say for yourself? Odd, I never so much as considred making my name Honest Jack, you know? Anyways, I am truly an honest person. Or at least, I am truly an honest person for the duration of this game. I am sorry to say that being good at cards is really not a proper Calling. smh you should be ashamed of yourself I will go on record as betting that none of them are lucky.
  14. Hello, yes, I am new player Yes, indubitably. Somebody with “honest” in their name is very trustworthy, no? After all, I have never ever lied before in Sanderson Elimination (because I’m a new player).
  15. I know this is a little late to the discussion but I’d like to point out that this mechanic would potentially create a fairly significant incentive for the eliminators to be much more agressive about bussing each other. If you are losing a teammate either way, you might as well do it on your own terms and get something out of it. The tradeoff here is that the bus victim likely does not get to keep participating in the elim doc, but arguably the benefits justify the cost. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it’s just a thing. People could adapt to it. At a guess, it would mean that voting up an eliminator early in the game doesn’t necessarily clear you as strongly as it otherwise would. Which could be interesting. It’s an interesting mechanic. I like it when games have some measures to still give the other team a fighting chance even if one side has a stronger start. If this can be done in a way that doesn’t feel overly manufactured then that is generally great.
  16. Ok you may sign me up as Honest Jake.
  17. Oop. I forgot about this game having ended by now. Hi. This game was certainly quite the roller coaster, you know? There were a lot more crazy coincidences and dramatically ironic twists than there had any right to be, and it was neck and neck all the way to the finish line. I think this will be a game that is remembered. Also it was pretty cool seeing a number of new people try out the game Anyhow, well done to my Yiga compatriots. I can't really say I never doubted the Yiga would pull through, because it was in some respects a rather challenging game, but that's what makes it exciting! There are probably some things I would do differently as evil!Postman!Drake, but I'd like to think the village paid the price for letting me live in the end, and hey if nothing else it was fun. All's well that ends in Calamity, right? And well played village. I reiterate, it was an uncommonly close game. There were more than a few times where you guys did something that really lit a fire under the Yiga's behinds, if you'll pardon the expression. More times than I particularly feel like listing here, in fact Thank you @Biplet and @StrikerEZ for running another top tier game. Some thoughts on the game setup: It was mostly balanced overall, I think? It wasn't as swingy as I expected. Somehow a lot of the swingy elements kinda balanced each other out, which was sorta cool to see in action. That was particularly well done in this game. Maybe the one thing I would say about any future runs of something similar is that there was maybe a teeny bit too much protective abilities in circulation. Not by a really big margin, considering the Yiga main wincon, but it was actually fairly lucky that relatively few kills were interfered with in this run. okay so Team Yiga won in the end which is pretty great but now please excuse me while I go cry over all of the bets I lost in the dead doc
  18. The village will not find out anything of the sort because Link can't make a kill N4 and my eliminator compatriots shall strive to eliminate an innocent Hyrulean >:P Anyways without further ado, here is my analysis! I would expect the Yiga to have one or two more roles remaining. Probably Revali and Urbosa. Whoever said that Daruk is a Yiga is probably mistaken. I would be suspicious of everyone who has not followed my D1 advice about avoiding all forms of role-related discussion. A major difference between this game and most games is that the Yiga have much less of a vested interest in hiding role-related information than the Hyruleans do. Archer was quite correct that when I revealed we had a PM with each other, it was alignment indicative. Come to think of it, the fact that Devotary revealed we have a PM between each other is much the same. My top suspicion is still Szeth. Their vote this cycle was pretty bandwagony tbh. Of all of the votes on me, theirs was the most suspicious. On the other hand, everyone who voted for me D2 is clearly cleared. Especially TJ. Speaking of TJ, Jondesu helped me vote for TJ that one time and it is rare for eliminator teammates to vote in sync, so Jondesu is probably a villager, right? Alvron is most likely a villager due to their helpful analysis that I agree with, because people I agree with must be villagers. In particular, they are in principle correct that there could be a Knight of either alignment left in the game. However, there is not, in fact, another Knight. And it is for this reason that while it may look like I am about to die an ignominious death at the hands of a bloodthirsty mob of villagers, the truth is that everything is going exactly according to my plan, which I have planned from the start, down to the systematic removal of every possible protective power in the game. I am, in fact, currently in the process of delivering to the village a staggering defeat of titanic proportions. That's right. The village has in fact already lost, and they just don't know it yet. But I know. I know who Link is. It's Tani. I am revealing I know this which should be indelible proof of how confident I am that nothing can stop the Yiga. And while Tani may think to keep the murderers at bay with a concealed Hearty Durian (yuck) that I also know they have, this puny measure will only forestall the inevitable. In a tactical masterstroke of unparalleled genius, we the Yiga shall simply attack a second time!! It is inconceivable that the village will be able to execute all of us before Tani, who is Link, is slain. And therefore, nothing can stop my evil plan thank you for coming to my ted talk Also Devotary just asked me to kill Archer smh the plan was to kill Tani but I don't want to not do what Devotary says guys help what do I do
  19. You mean you don't want me to make a fake analysis post filled with trolling and fake leads? Darn I was really hoping to get some people misexed that way. There go all of my plans... everyone who said I might not be Yiga is evil tbh I know right? I haven't played that much breath of the wild tbh but the dialogue for that encounter felt rather applicable
  20. You. You get an upvote. Now that's the kind of quality voting I like to see It's a shame I'm not secretly Daruk tbh everyone's reactions when I'm somehow still around by D5 would be quite something EDIT: So when I'm about to get executed I usually do a final analysis post, do you guys want me to do a final analysis post???
  21. At first I thought it was just a bad dream. But the bed I woke up in... wasn't my bed. It was a bed full of liquid in an empty room. And when I looked in the corner... there was a weird glowing device. And when I touched the device... I was overwhelmed with a feeling of... familiarity. When I came to, I was here... What... do you think about that?
  22. About a year ago... I was walking along the road here at night, when suddenly I saw a blinding light in the sky. When my eyes finally adjusted, I found myself looking at a shimmering object floating overhead. I couldn't look away. The next thing I knew, I was bathed in light. When I came to, I woke up in bed covered in sweat. What... do you think about that?
  23. Well you were right about me lying, because I'm not Zelda. But I did need to gauge your reaction. There isn't much more to it than that. As you say, there was absolutely no need to ask my postman to get me in contact with Link last turn, because I am Link.
