  1. Finally! Photographic evidence of the elusive brain weasel!
  2. I know that, objectively, it's not that great and most of the enjoyment I get from it is nostalgia. But it was probably my first introduction to epic fantasy as a kid. Without it, I probably wouldn't be here. Also, I'm a little biased because one of my favorite aspects of a book (especially fantasy) is the immersive world, and, say what you will about the plot and characters, Alagaesia is an interesting and immersive world. Also the magic system is pretty interesting. I guess, bottom line, it's not that great of a story, but it has a good world and atmosphere and has a lot of nostalgic clout for me and many others as well.
  3. Well, ignoring him is a bit of a problem because he's my roommate. It was the Inheritance Cycle. I know it's not the best fantasy series out there, but it's very nostalgic for me ok? He really gets on my nerves sometimes.
  4. Yeeeees... Especially if it's your roommate who is interrupting you in order to tell you how horrible the book you recommended him is. Even when it's an old favorite of yours. And you slowly but surely devolve into a gibbering mess because of his constant nagging and dismissal of your counter-arguments until the only thought left in your broken mind is an overwhelming urge to see him die in pain. No, this hasn't happened to me. Why do you ask? *twitch*
  5. You know how at award shows reporters ask all the celebrities "who are you wearing?", meaning "who designed your clothes?" So a lot of celebrities have begun to voice their annoyance and disdain for the term. I just want one celebrity to have the guts to answer "who are you wearing?" with something along the lines of "Oh, her name was Cheryl. She was a sweet girl, but she knew too much."
  6. One of my favorite actors! Leverage and the Librarians. Really good shows.
  7. Hey! Look at that! I can post again.
  8. Sure. That makes sense. Thanks so much!
  9. Whenever that happens I just hold on the ridiculous expression and frantically say "Nose! Nose!" I'm...not sure why.
  10. You know what I love about the Israeli Railways? About a year ago, they decided to make waiting for trains less mind-numbingly dull by putting pianos in some of the larger stations and inviting anyone who could play anything to bring their instruments and make everyone else happy. I have a few cool stories. Today I saw a bunch of soldiers passing through. One of them just sat down and started playing Fur Elise, then went straight into the Mario theme. Also when someone else replaced him, this guy and his two-year-old son started dancing to the music. A few months ago there was this guy playing and a couple of female soldiers walked up to him and requested Disney songs. Then they started singing a duet together along with him. They harmonized and everything. It was awesome. This entire idea is just great you guys.
  11. "While I am your friend, please understand that our goals do not completely align. You must not trust yourself with me. If I have to watch this world crumble and burn to get what I need, I will do so. With tears, yes, but I would let it happen."
  12. As I stand there, memories shimmering, glimmering My life, sharp as a knife, glittering, reiterating All the times I failed and evil prevailed I hear a Voice singing Wavering, warbling, wantonly wandering Meandering, it ceases singing and ringing I hear it say...
  13. Listen, perfection is overrated. And what is it anyway? Standards set by society. A bunch of strangers who don't even know you. If you reject their image of what you should be, you can start to accept yourself. You don't have to be good at things to have a good life. A good life is a happy one, and your only as happy as you allow yourself to be. Also, if still feel you should have some sort of talent, just remember that no lack of innate ability can stand up to regular practicing. Hope this made you feel better. *hugs*
  14. A better world for some is a nightmare for some others I just can't overcome the whispers my mind utters If I try and do good for man, but hurt my brothers Will they praise my name, or will it be in the gutters
  15. But from ashes I'm reborn, Like a phoenix, flames adorn Ascending, blazing, rising, razing Mortals praising my amazing Power, wrested from a meteor shower
  16. I'm thinking on the fly And I don't like to try and terrify But I can't lie, can't deny We're all going to die
  17. Ok. If this isn't too much, I have a OC team of 4 from RWBY. A few things to know if you don't watch RWBY: Aura is a sort of personal energy reservoir that everyone has that works as a shield and as a physical enhancer, a Semblance is a unique power everyone has that is powered by Aura, Faunus are a race that appear human, but have certain animalistic traits, Dust is a naturally occurring combustible mineral that can be triggered by Aura. Nocturna Indigo
  18. This sounds awesome! Can I pm you a doc with my RWBY OCs?
  19. Sounds like Smedry talents...
  20. Today I was just walking along, minding my own business, when this cat just starts meowing at me. I didn't really know what to do, so I started petting it. It was the cutest thing! It started purring and rubbing itself against me. It even started climbing onto my lap. The only thing that made it less than paradise was the fact that it kept kneading me with its claws. Apart from the fact that it was kind of painful, I was also wearing my nice clothes. But I couldn't be mad at it. I named it Stabby Tabby!
  21. Not to upstage you, but in Hebrew we say "until a hundred and twenty years." This is because, according to tradition, Moses lived to be a hundred and twenty.
  22. Hey, it's not my fault that you're potentially delicious!
  23. Oh, I'm so sorry! That post must have been so insensitive to you. I had no idea! If it's any consolation, your people were delicious...
  24. Mine is the second one on the left with the pretty base.
